Did You Know…

That the title given to our monarch of ‘Defender of the Faith’, is not Protestant?

Why? Because the ‘faith’ the title refers to is Roman Catholicism, not Protestantism/Christianity! The title was given to Henry 8th in 1512 by Pope Leo 10th, a few years before Henry offloaded Rome in favour of his own sexual desires.

And Did You know…

That the first Protestants were Roman Catholics? We tend to associate ‘Protestant’ with certain non-Romanist churches, especially Calvinistic. But, for quite some time ‘Protestants’ were Roman Catholics who were fed up with what Rome stood for.

At first, these Protestants continued to be Catholics who simply wanted to rid their ‘church’ of this or that excess. Then, Lutheranism took a firmer grip, followed by the more successful Calvinism, and the two groups slowly rid themselves of Romanism and took on a hue we now recognise as ‘Protestant’.

So, don’t think that Christians have the monopoly of ‘Protestantism’! Encourage those Roman Catholics who oppose certain problems within their organisation, but also remember that Romanists need the Gospel just as much as anyone else. It is worth considering that at the time of Luther and Calvin many top-ranking Catholics, such as princes, cardinals and bishops, became saved by grace. This is not a call for modern ecumenism, but a call to remember our Protestant roots.

There is often an odd hatred expressed for Catholics. Just bear in mind that they are, generally, brought up in their false faith (just like Muslims) and their very thinking is permeated with false doctrine. So, for a Catholic to become a Christian is no mean feat! Yes, it is all down to God’s grace alone, but a saved Catholic still has many hurdles to overcome, including the overwhelming opposition from their own families, churches and priests.

Whilst, then, Romanists claim great victories when well-known false Christians join their ranks, pray that equally well-known Romanists will be saved by God’s grace, influencing many others. After all, that was how the Reformation started!

The Bone Box

I find it most interesting that any artefacts claimed to be about Jesus are always found by Roman Catholics! Most odd! (Maybe I’m just cynical).

One of the latest is a limestone box supposedly of the first century, with an inscription saying ‘James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus’. The box is said to have been used to contain bones.

Now what’s more interesting is that there is concern over its authenticity – not, as you might imagine, because it might be a fake, but because of what it would mean to RCC dogma…for the RCC assert that Mary remained a virgin even after the birth of Christ. (Source: The Universe, 27th Oct). This, of course, is absolute nonsense, because scripture teaches that Mary had several more children after Christ. Oh well, they’ll no doubt wriggle out of that one quite nicely.

No Respect

Every so often I receive correspondence from Roman Catholics (who resent my use of the word ‘Romanist’ by the way), who claim that I show their religion no respect. My answer is always the same – they are quite right.

I respect RC’s as people, but I cannot respect their religion. Why not? Because it is heresy and is part of a system of beliefs taught by an anti-Christ organisation. Nowhere in scripture does God command us to show respect for false religions. To do so is to accord them acceptance and equality with Christian faith. So, friends, do not expect me to show respect for the RC religion, or for any other false religion that opposes God and His word.

Remember that with the RCC, they use the scriptures, but their error comes with their dogma – the teachings they base on scripture, and which, often, have no connection at all with true doctrine. Also, much dogma is totally divorced from scripture, such as the continuing virginity of Mary and her supposed elevation to be at God’s side as an intercessor, the Mass, and so on. These are all outright heresies, which no-one can accept or condone, or give reverence to.

Incredible!

Cardinal Desmond Connell of Ireland was heckled recently when he led Mass. This was in protest at his ineffective response toward paedophile priests – there are so many around the world I doubt if the RCC could ever root them out!

Despite the glaring problems this creates and the number of cases that have hit the news, even the new RCC leader in the UK, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor, has been stupid enough (and I use that term properly) to employ a priest whom he knew to be a paedophile! There are calls for his resignation, and rightly so.

This new revelation is rather ironic when the cardinal’s own words are recalled from just a few days ago! When he was offering Mass at the chapel of St. Mary Undercroft in the Palace of Westminster, he told the congregation, which included MP’s of both Houses of Parliament: “People today sensed a lack of integrity in their leaders…”

He also said there was a loss of honesty and truthfulness in public life and a lack of time for family…is a paedophile one who promotes true family, I wonder? Do the cardinal’s own actions come under the heading ‘lack of integrity…in leaders’ and ‘loss of honesty’?? The RCC is trying hard to pretend it cares and is genuine, but it deceives.

As more and more paedophile priests hit the headlines, how can a cardinal so easily keep appointments of such evil men secret? How can he make the appointment in the first place? His own integrity is now in question, but, typically, the RCC will play it all down and allow him to stay in office.

Making Saints

When the pope, on behalf of the RCC, ‘makes a saint’, he gives a public reason why the ‘church’ does it: “For the honour of the Blessed Trinity, the exaltation of the Catholic faith and the fostering of Christian life, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul and our own…” Then after a few more words, he declares this or that person a ‘saint’ “to be venerated”.

Perhaps the pope can tell me where he gets his information from? Where in scripture dose Jesus Christ give the Church authority to ‘make saints’? Where do the Apostles say so? In reality the pope does so for his own benefit, and by the usurped ‘authority’ of the Romanist organisation in order to ‘exalt itself! That is why the pope adds “…Peter and Paul…and our own (authority)”.

Making saints is presumptuous and without scriptural warrant. Every Christian who has ever been is a saint. When this world is wrapped up and we begin our life in heaven, every single person there will be a saint! The Romish rubbish that pretends to be from Christ is a travesty and a fraud. No mere man can make a saint – only God makes a saint, every time He saves a man or woman for Himself.

Next time you travel to Rome and stand in awe in St Peter’s Square whilst a pope solemnly pronounces a man or woman a ‘saint’ just remind yourself that you ought not be there in the first place. Then remind yourself that the pope is being very silly as well as heretical. There is no way that a true Romanist can be a ‘saint’. Sadly, that dead person is now awaiting hell for believing in the lies of Rome. Every Christian you know, even if he or she is a failure, is a saint!

Jews Don’t Need Salvation…

…says cardinal Walter Kasper, president of the Vatican’s Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews. Jews do not need to convert to be saved, he says – they don’t need to become Christians if they follow their own conscience and live out what God has shown them. (Source: totalcatholic.com)

So, there you have it – the good cardinal knows better than scripture. There is no need to preach the Gospel to the Jews at all – so poor old Peter got it all wrong when he spoke to a packed audience at Easter!

RC Evangelical Smile!

In a recent series of communications from an RC, I finally got fed up giving him opportunity to just argue and demand lots of my attention just to satisfy his thirst for debate. I told him so and then he took his ‘evangelical smile’ gloves off.

He said that he demanded my time as I am commanded by Christ to give a good answer to anyone who asked about the Gospel. When I said that the questions he demanded answers to were nothing to do with the Gospel and I did not have enough time in the day to waste on debates, he retorted that “I think you are a jerk! But scripture says I must smile and treat you kindly”!

I must admit that I had to chuckle to myself. I wrote back that I would much prefer it if he called me a jerk, because it would be more honest and I have found similar ‘evangelical smile’ approaches by Protestants just as two-faced. He has not replied since. I really do get fed up with those who only wish to argue because they like the sound of their own voice. Genuine queries and comments I can accept.

Fancy a Turkish Holiday?

Maybe not, after comments made by RC bishop, Kurt Krenn of Austria, in the country’s weekly paper, Profil.

He said: “(Islam is a) fanatical religion” and that Turkey must not be allowed to join the EC, which must “remain Christian”. He continued “Islam isn’t stronger, just more fanatical…Nor is it a real religion anyway. We know we are the true religion, and it’s with this certainty that we approach our quarrel with Islam.”

His words are in direct contrast to those of the pope, who encourages ‘dialogue’ and cooperation with Muslims. Though the bishop is right in what he says concerning Islam, his reasoning is deficient, for he thinks Rome has the monopoly of Christian belief, which it has not – the RCC is itself a false religion! Even so, I don’t think there is much chance of Turkey approving his words, do you?

The Problem with Dogma

Dogma is the thinking and teaching that progresses from doctrine. This is an important thing to remember. Rome believes in doctrine as interpreted by dogma, and teaches its dogma as equal to doctrine. We, for example, teach that only doctrine is authoritative and any dogma we produce is secondary, and only valid if it interprets as scripture itself allows.

It is this thorny ground of RC dogma that has led to a split in ‘Vatican 2’, the ground of current RCC teaching. Senior cardinals warn of a ‘schism’ in the RCC because a growing number of Romanist theologians are forming their own ‘interpretations’.

This is bound to happen because they are interpreting dogma and not scripture itself. Few texts in scripture are capable of multi-interpretation. But human dogma is up for grabs, because it is merely human reasoning about human reasoning! Don’t just brush this off, for this is how Luther began to doubt the wisdom he had received from tradition and dogma.

Asylum Row in Switzerland

Swiss officials want to ban all future asylum seekers from Western Europe. Readers are aware of my own stance on this matter. Now, the RCC are trying to overrule this decision because it disagrees with ‘human rights’. It is worth recalling that the EU is Romanist at its core and led by Catholics; ‘human rights’ are those rights dictated by RCC dogma, and not by any kind of scriptural injunction.

Of course, the more foreign folk enter a country the better the RCC likes it – they are rich pickings for the harlot, who will befriend and ‘convert’ them before they know it!
