Did Jesus Die Only Once?

Roman Catholics believe, against all natural (God’s) law, that they can simply call Jesus ‘down’ from Heaven and into a flat biscuit, which they can then claim to be ‘alive’ – Jesus himself!!

So it is not really a surprise to learn that they also believe He dies every day for everybody…(VIS 040405).

On April 4th in St Peter’s Square, the pope blessed palm and olive branches (what for???) before giving mass to 30,000 people.

They gathered to celebrate the 19th World Youth Day – the theme being “We want to see Jesus”. (Don’t get confused – this has nothing to do with genuine Christian beliefs).

The pope told them that “Jesus dies on the cross for each of us…for all of humanity.” In this single statement the pope both blasphemed and taught heresy!!

Jesus does NOT die daily, nor does he ‘come down’ to become a meagre dry factory-made biscuit. Nor did He die for all of humanity – a teaching that is Arminian.

He went on to utter more blasphemy by saying (remembering that he gave a large cross to youngsters, who now pass it on through many countries) “I entrust the cross of Christ to you!”

There was also a prayer that was itself another heresy, that Jerusalem “may become a place of encounter and dialogue among believers in one God”…he was referring to Muslims and Jews, as though the beliefs of both were equal to that of Christianity! (“May we commit ourselves to inter-religious dialogue with Muslims…” VIS 040402 [390].)

The next day, speaking to the same people, the pope added “In order to make this world better, make an effort to change yourselves through the sacrament of reconciliation, and through intimate identification with Christ in the Eucharist.”

Maybe the idea is for this envoy of the Harlot to try to pick out how many heresies he can preach in any 24 hour period?

And Just before That…

On April 2nd, 20,000 young people gathered in readiness for World Youth Day. They, too, met in St Peter’s Square. (VIS 040402 (540)).

This time there were also performances from pop singers, dancers from the Opera of Rome, break-dancers and actors… as much like charismatics as can be, eh?

The actors “recited texts by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta” (who was an arch-enemy of Christ in her lifetime).

The pope spoke in nonsense words to the young people gathered before him: “I invite you to believe that we have so much faith in you, that Christ has faith in you, and that only in him is there the salvation that we are searching for.”

Again, the pope blundered through several heresies in that single statement… we are not called to have faith in our youth, or in any other person on earth – only in Jesus Christ. And to say that Christ has faith in young people, or anyone, is yet another blasphemy! Jesus put trust in creatures??

We must have faith only in Christ… so why should Christ, very God, lower Himself to have faith in weak and defiled vessels that He has Himself created?

And as for searching for salvation… this is Arminianism, not scriptural truth. God chooses us – we do not choose Him. All-in-all the pope utters some pretty potent and ridiculous rubbish.

In his final words, the pope made himself equal to Christ by saying: “The pope is with you! Believe in Jesus…I put my faith once again in you, the hope of the Church and society!” Oh me, oh My!! What error. Our hope is not in the Church, but in the Lord. Our faith is in Him, not in ourselves!

Bishops & Church = Salvation?

When talking to USA bishops the pope spoke of ‘internal renewal’ as essential to the rebuilding of trust in Rome, after so many sex scandals. (VIS 040402 [600], April 2nd, ‘Reflections on a Bishop’s triple munus’).

He told them that “apostolic authority must be seen first and foremost as a religious witness to the Risen Lord, to the truth of the Gospel, and to the mystery of salvation present and at work in the Church.”

This is even more nonsense, for bishops do NOT have apostolic authority. Even Roman scholars admit that the notion depends on whether or not Peter went to Rome and became its first bishop… and this is down to myth and legend, for there is no historical evidence for it!

The office of Roman bishop, then, cannot be a witness to the Risen Lord, if it is unscriptural in the first place. Also, the ‘mystery of salvation’ is not in the Church – it resides solely in God and given through His Son, Jesus Christ… given before the world began, and so is part of predestination… the doctrinal teaching that Rome detests, because it removes its authority and power.

Sacrosantum Concilium

To mark the anniversary of the giving of the Sacrosantum Concilium (the document of the sacred liturgy presented by Vatican 2), Cardinal Francis Arinze said “the liturgy is the highest expression of the mysterious reality of the Church.” (VIS 040402 [320], OP/Liturgy:Spiritus et sponsa/Arinze).

What utter waffle! The highest expression of the Church is Christ, yet again! And in all that He effects through His servants. As with most other things in the Roman church, the liturgy is merely a tool of power used to bring congregations to heel.

Another Tool of Power

The Pontifical Pio Brasiliero College is an institution sited in Rome, and run by Jesuits, for the training of Brazilian priests for the past 70 years. Why is it in Rome?

That’s easy… ”Living in Rome for some years… is so necessary… (so that you) come into contact with the history of the first centuries of Christianity, to open yourselves up to the universal dimension of the Church… and (to) a good disposition to accept the teachings of the Church.” Said the pope (Vatican City, April 1st, VIS 040401 [230]). In other words – brainwashing!

No Mention of God

Cardinal Renato Martino, president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, spoke in Mexico City on April 1st, at the final session of the Third World Congress of Families. (Note how everything like this is always prefixed with ‘World’, thus enhancing the authority of Rome!).

In his whole speech about the importance of the family, he reiterated that the most important factor in world peace is the family, etc., etc. he did not say one word about the need for repentance, or of the place of God or Christ in the creation of souls alive to God!

Talk About Poetic Licence!!!

On March 31st the pope gave an address in St Peter’s Square, his favourite hang-out, filled with fawning, deceived devotees.

In his conclusion, he said, referring to the words proclaimed by God at Mt Sinai: “you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation”, that this “emphasises that the people of the redeemer God is made up of kings and priests, who must guide and sanctify all of creation…a consecration that has its origin in the Paschal mystery of Christ and takes place during baptism.” (VIS 040331 [390]).

I think that Rome specialises in gobbledegook! By grossly misinterpreting God’s words and meaning, Rome takes upon itself justification for its priestly system, which Christ clearly demolished. There really is no end to Rome’s arrogance and error.

More Rubbish…

The pope called on priests and laity to do their very best…”It is necessary to spread the Gospel to many people who are waiting for it, perhaps without even knowing it. Christ is counting on you. Do not let him down!” (VIS 040329, HML/Roman Parishes).

Christ is counting on us?? This is another gem of charismaticism, in which the work of salvation depends entirely on what we do for Christ, not on what Christ does for us. Yet more heresy and more theological rubbish.
