Anglicans’ ‘Lost Status’

Romanist history and writing is fascinating in its diversity and scope. Wrong beliefs but fascinating!

Snippets from years ago give an insight into their way of thinking. Take a public meeting in March 1936, chaired by the writer, G.K.Chesterton (source: The Universe archives)…

An audience of 600 met in the Theosophist Repertory Theatre, Letchworth, UK, to hear Romanists answer the Anglican claim that they ‘had continuity with the Catholic Apostolic church’.

Personally, Chesterton did not understand why Anglicans would wish to claim it in the first place, but the answer is very simple – Anglicanism is, as I haves said many times before, just an offshoot of Romanism anyway, and it is only a matter of time before it returns to its Catholic roots.

Chesterton said, “We should try to appreciate Anglican aspirations, and they on their side should abstain from suggesting that since the first century, for some extraordinary reason, Catholicism had been corrupt…”

The Romanists said that in the first 25 years of the twentieth century alone 310 Anglican priests converted to Rome. However, Romanists rejected out of hand the Anglican idea that Anglicanism is a ‘branch’ of Romanism, because, they said, Romanism cannot be divided.

This is why, of course, Rome will never join with any other church – how can it when it claims to be the only authentic church in the world? Yet, it can only trace its roots back to about 300 AD, as an independent church. And it can only trace back any kind of ‘succession’ back to about the same period.

Reference was made to the ‘great Prayer Book controversy’ in which amendments were made because of Romanist tendencies in some parts. Thus, Anglicanism was two-faced, for wanting Apostolic pretensions and yet claiming independence from Rome!

Mention was also made of the fact that roman theologians said that “a man got his status from the church to which he belonged, not from the views he himself held.” This belief is repeated time and again, and it is why Rome sees ‘the Church’ as separate from its people. Yet, according to scripture ‘the Church’ IS the people.

The clergy at the meeting told the audience that Anglicans could “never be Catholic. If we were Catholic it was because the church to which we belonged was Catholic”.

This is subtle brainwashing – tell the people often enough that Rome was the true church and many would believe it!

That is why the clergy at that meeting pointed out that when the Vatican library was opened up for the first time, over 7,000 documents were listed that pointed to the pope’s spiritual authority, which showed that pre-Reformation England was totally Romanist and not Anglican in spirit or allegiance. “…the pre-Reformation church admitted absolutely the spiritual supremacy of the pope.” It just shows how gullible most people were for so many centuries!

By adhering to reformation principles, the Anglican church had “lost the status of being a part of the Catholic church. By the Act of Royal Supremacy the Church of England was a limb lopped off from the Catholic Church.” In this statement we see how Rome views Anglicanism – as a renegade limb, not as a separate entity. And Anglicanism has acted as a part of Rome ever since. (Source: Catholic Life, Oct. 2002).

Irish Colours

Ireland has meddled in the affairs of the UK and other countries for a while now. Recently, true to its colours, it has refused to extradite a Roman priest to the USA to face charges of sexually abusing a young girl there.

He left the USA before three other charges, made by women he has had illicit affairs with, came to court! The Irish government has relied on a lame excuse to stop the man being taken back to face the music…they say that as the age at which sex can legally take place is lower in Ireland than in the USA, so the priest should not be extradited!! The fact that the crime took place in another country seems to have evaded the Irish!!

Meanwhile…

Cardinal Ratzinger, Vatican champion, has declared that the continuing publicity surrounding sexually abusive priests in the USA is ‘distorted’ and is being spread about only to ‘discredit’ the roman church!! He gave his pronouncement at a university lecture in Murcia, Spain. He forgets that even RC priests themselves admit that abuse is rife. (Source, The Universe, 2nd Jan).

Devil’s Advocate on Teresa

The pope is fast-tracking the case for making ‘Mother Teresa’ a saint, even though a ‘devil’s advocate has said she ought not to be made a saint.

Rome asked Christopher Hitchens, a journalist, to discover reasons why Teresa should not be elected. But it seems they will ignore his findings!

Hitchens has written a book on the woman and says that her public image was far removed from her private one. For example, she was said to have opened up many hospitals with public donations – but she did not open even one hospital – all the money went in to opening convents of her own order.

Teresa travelled everywhere in style, first class, in a permanently reserved seat with Air India, whilst she deliberately kept her Calcutta poor in conditions of poverty. She was found in the company of the world’s rich and famous, but rarely in the company of the poor she claimed to help.

She needs two miracles attributed to her before she can be beatified. So far only one has emerged – and that is so dubious as to make any seven year old take notice! A woman claims that she prayed to Teresa to cure her, and a cure came along. Therefore, says Rome, this is a miracle!! Yet, the woman’s own doctor says it was merely the result of good medication and treatment.

For goodness sake – how can Rome ‘prove’ Teresa cured someone through prayer!! (Of course, Teresa is dead anyway and cannot help the living. No dead person can ever return or assist anyone – this is a spiritualist belief, not a Christian one).

Much money was given to Teresa by the infamous and murderous Duvalier gang in Haiti, as well as by other well-known criminals of the worst kind. She accrued vast sums of money but never gave account for any of it. And the tens of millions of pounds given to her for the poor actually went into building convents.

When she ‘treated’ the poor on the floor in Calcutta, she herself was treated at the exclusive and extremely rich Mayo Clinic. She paid tribute to murderous leaders such as the Stalinist leader of Albania, but condemned women who did not wish to become pregnant time and again because Romanists do not like birth control. Even so, she was found a close companion to Indiri Ghandi when India was forcing sterilisation upon its women. And as she urged her Indian poor to think of suffering as a gift of God, she flew off to visit the rich and famous.

Hitchens believes a second ‘miracle’ will be duly found, because there is ‘already a collective hallucination’ concerning Teresa produced by the mass media and Rome. (Source: Daily Mirror, Jan 2nd).

Teresa was a sham. She was a satanic envoy of the highest order, condemning thousands of poverty-stricken Indians to death by her methods. Her desire, apart from consorting with the rich, was to spread the heinous false gospel of Rome. Her guru was Mary ‘mother of God’….see next note.

Mary, Mother of Who?

Even Protestants believe that Mary was the mother of Jesus Christ. So any wonder that Catholics think of her as ‘Mother of God’?

Mary simply bore the child Who was Christ. This was by direct command of God. He had chosen Mary (or, Miriam) to carry the Saviour in her womb, but her own seed was not used. Nor did Christ have an human father. Mary was, then, only a vessel. That was her part, and then she brought Jesus up until it was time for Him to leave and preach.

A realistic approach is required in all this. Don’t fall for the Romanist trap and give Mary a position or status she was not given by God. Yes, she is special because of what God did with her, but she was NOT the ‘Mother of God’ or the natural mother.

In today’s language, she was a surrogate mother who carried the seed of another, a seed that was supernatural, for it was neither of human male or female, but was unique, free of all sin and human defect. Mary is as powerless as the rest of us when it comes to being at God’s right OR left hand. She is at neither hand. Mary was the mother of James and His other human brothers and sisters. She was ‘mother’ to Christ only by way of a privileged concession by God, Who allowed her to bring up the Messiah as her own. Don’t be misled.

Asylum Seekers in the Vatican?

The pope says that it is a ‘Christian duty’ to welcome all immigrants. Does this mean he will welcome them into the Vatican State? Or that his church that is wealthy beyond all dreams, will donate money to help them? Hmph!! It’s very easy for him to advocate such a welcome when he has no personal intention to do so! What a farce!

HIV Advice Wrong says Vatican

The Catholic Institute of International Affairs has called on Rome to allow the use of condoms to prevent the spread of HIV. Rome has cast the idea out quickly because it opposes its own dogma.

The retort was “Catholics cannot pick and choose what they believe. Catholics believe that Jesus Christ…founded the Catholic Church…and gave its leader, Peter, and his successors, power to make a decision in His name…” a clap on the back to anyone who can spot the million errors in hat one statement!!

Then comes “Now the forbidding of condoms has certainly been ‘bound in heaven’….(and) is clearly condemned by the Second Vatican Council”

The only truth I find in Rome’s pronouncement is that HIV cannot be stopped by using condoms. This is a fact not made known by health authorities, but one which I pointed out in the 1980’s after three years intensive study of the them emerging problem. To put it very simply, the virus is smaller than the latex molecules that make up condoms, so it can pass straight through the material!

Other than that correct statement, Rome is talking through its red hats in matters of doctrine!

Virgin Territory

30 people walked 60 miles in three days to celebrate the feast of the Lady of Guadalupe, thereby making melons of themselves. Sadly, they said that pain is nothing when you have faith.

But why suffer pain for no reason? Scripture does not call on us to mutilate or harm ourselves for Mary. Yet, millions travelled to Mexico City to attend the celebrations.

Some crawled on their knees along rough ground, bleeding. Others carried three feet high figures of Mary on their backs. What any of this has to do with ‘faith’ is beyond me.

I saw a travel programme recently in which three oriental men crawled on their bellies along rough tracks, up mountains and over stones and brambles, for many weeks, in honour of their false god. They were emaciated and torn, but they had done it all for their ‘faith’. Compare with what our true God demands and you’ll notice the difference!

Joining for What?

As a church we have been discussing the limits we may go to, when joining with the unsaved, even for good causes.

Many good causes are pro-Catholic or have a strong Catholic presence. May we suggest that if Catholicism is given as a title, you ought not be part of it, for Rome’s influence can be very subtle.
