Happy Holiday

Have you listened to the season’s advertisements on TV for Coca Cola? There’s no reference to Christmas – instead, we have ‘Happy Holiday’!!

In itself I have no problem with that, because Christmas was originally a Catholic festival consisting of three masses. I also have no problem, because Christmas is not a Christian festival anyway. For me, this season is simply a great time to relax and enjoy family.

Presents? I can honestly say presents don’t bother me, whether for Christmas, birthday, or any other reason. If I get them, that’s very nice – but it wouldn’t bother me if I had nothing.

Nor does it bother me if some churches hold Christmas meetings, so long as they do so with good conscience.

What does bother me, is the way churches, schools and governments are acquiescing to Islam. It is very strange, as if everybody is literally falling over themselves to be ‘PC’!! It is even stranger when we consider that most Muslims are wondering why we are doing it – because they have not demanded anything!

It is true, as Christian commentators say time and again, that though we are giving away our heritage and culture to appease Islam, when we go to Islamic countries, there is no accommodation whatever to our way of life! Even when the Gulf War was on, when USA soldiers were willing to fight and die for the freedom of Arab states, those same Arabs denied them the right to wear or show any sign of their Christian faith!

So, why are local meddlers trying to throw away our culture in our own country? Are they not tin-pot Napoleons?

Like the pope before him, our hapless and powerless archbishop Rowan, has apologised for the crusades. It has been scorned by a Daily Express writer, and rightly so. He asks why Rowan Williams and others are so keen to cow-tow to Islam when Islam couldn’t care two hoots about our own beliefs.

But there’s another thing – how can Rowan  ‘apologise’ for something someone else did? And how can he apologise for who did it – Roman Catholics? At the time there was no national Anglican church, so what on earth is Rowan talking about? How can he offer an apology for Anglicans, when Anglicanism did not even exist at the time? Rowan did it because it is fashionable with his mother church, Rome.

Though the crusades were ordered by a pope, and for the wrong reasons, we should not whitewash the Muslims of the time. Constantly we are told by revisionist historians that the Muslims were honourable and wonderful, whilst the Romanists were wicked and violent. The latter may indeed be true, but let us not forget something…

At the start, Islam was spread by fear and the sword. Nation after nation capitulated to the violence of the new Muslim zealots. They later settled down a bit – but only because they had conquered everybody and could relax.

But by the turn of the new millennium, past the year 1000, Muslims took over the Holy Land by force (so much for their claim to being the true inhabitants!!) and prevented many Christians going on pilgrimage. So, Rome saw red and sent out soldiers, and even kids, to fight the Muslims.

Today, radical Islam is just as forceful, and Islamic countries are not really that nice to live in. Their record of human rights is appalling.

So why, then, does Mr Councillor of our local town cancel out Christmas? Why remove tea-towels in the local market because they have jolly pictures of pigs on them? Why stop Christmas carols in the primary school? He does it because he is ignorant and because he is just as arrogant as radical Muslims!

Ordinary Muslims live in peace and accept that Christian festivals exist. They do so because the UK is Christian in history and ways, even if not in spirit. Muslims are free to follow their own festivals, and so are we. No local councillor should force us to become Islamicised!

‘Happy Holiday’ is certainly closer to the season than ‘Happy Christmas’, but this is not the point. The point is, to appease Islam, local leaders have to firstly destroy local custom and beliefs!

When this happens up to 2000 years of culture is destroyed. Why? Let’s get back to reality and common-sense.

Let Islam hold its own festivals (which it does anyway) and let Christians (or others) deal with it as they wish, too. The way toward communal peace is NOT found in forcing us to do whatever our esteemed leaders think we must do!

Rome’s Murmurings

No doubt you will remember when the pope apologised for the crusades. A Catholic writer who knows Rome well called it ‘theatrical’ and says that many cardinals didn’t like it. The pope called it a “purification of memories”.

“Who has the right, other than the victims themselves, to forgive?” (‘The Pope in Winter’, 2004, Cornwell J, Publ. Penguin, pp184-5). Strangely, this criticism by cardinals was Biblical!

Gays

Let us again sum up what the facts are about homosexuals:

1. Gays can do as good a job as anyone else.

2. If, in secular employment, they work well, I have no problem with that.

3. Though they might work well, even the quietest gay/lesbian might stab a Christian in the back if they even suspect he or she does not accept their lifestyle.

4. The law is currently being duped into giving all kinds of preferential treatment to gays. In so doing, they act against the word of God. The Bible says that we are not bound by laws that contradict God’s laws. Individuals must define for themselves what that will mean.

5. Christians must stand up against homosexuality in all its guises, because this is required of their witness as believers. I don’t mean nastily, but quietly and firmly. There is never an excuse to abuse anyone, even though gays abuse Christians.

6. Homosexuality is called ‘an abomination’ by God, a perversion, and immorality. That is, sin. No Christian can, therefore, support homosexuals in their lifestyle choices. There is no ‘gay gene’ and no biological reason for being gay.

7. Christians may, legitimately, offer friendship and help if a gay repents and wishes to change. Other than that, the gay lifestyle must be opposed. The alternative (apart from work situations) is to shun or avoid the person if there is no repentance.

Despite the above, I do not personally hate gays, nor do I wish them harm. The Bible says that gays will go to hell if they don’t repent. Therefore, they need evangelisation just like anyone else. Their sin may not be our sin – but all of us are guilty of sin, so we are neither superior or inferior to gays. (Generally, I have noted how miserable gays are, when their public face is not seen).

Typically, gays do not read my material without prejudice…yet, any gay who has communicated with me openly has always received a courteous and friendly response, and has said how surprised they were by my manner!

Gays – don’t just read my words (because you will never understand what I am truly saying)…ask me personally!! But, also, make no mistake, if you continue in your homosexuality you are bound for hell, and I am bound to oppose your choices and lifestyle.

Arminianism

I get some very odd emails. One fellow, who says he is currently a master’s student in Biblical studies, demanded to know where in scripture Arminianism is condemned!

Firstly, there are Bible courses and Bible courses! If he is taking one led by charismaticism, it explains his ignorance.

In my book coming soon, on Aquinas, I look at Arminianism, and show it to be a Romanist agenda. But, how many times has it to be said – scripture tells us that God gives salvation by His grace alone. We can do nothing to obtain it.

Arminianism says otherwise – that we can go some way to obtain it by our request for salvation!! I fail to see how anyone can claim they cannot see the point…unless, of course, they are just deluded.

Repeatedly, I am asked to ‘explain’ why Arminianism is unbiblical, by folk who claim to have read my articles!! I cannot keep repeating myself – please read the articles!

Gay Couples Not Equal

The decision to give equal rights to gay couples is  phenomenally unethical. The health service in the UK is running at debt level and cutting services. Yet, government is giving public money to gay couples!!

In this way your health is being affected by homosexuality. In other words, the immoral sexual choices of some are overriding the legitimate needs of the many. There is no way that any government can justify such a position.

All these decisions affecting society are based on entirely false beliefs and theories that have been debunked. I still want to know why any government is willing to legislate on the basis of lies and bad research.

Will anyone in government answer this question? Of course not – because they can’t. Their decisions are illicit.

Why?

Why do many Christian publications and organisations fear to tackle homosexuality? Are they secretly pro-gay? Or have they succumbed to the pseudo-science promoting homosexuality as genetically caused?

And why do they ignore those of us who speak out? I can tell you, the more you learn about the subject the hotter under the collar you can get! Only those who have little knowledge will try to calm the waters.

The situation is really simple. It is my view that anyone can live as they choose, and talk about it, unless what they say and do harms others and/or they attempt to brainwash children. It is up to the law and God to deal with the consequences.

Thus, homosexuals are free to live their lifestyle – but must be stopped from inducing young people into their ways, and stopped from making new laws in their own favour. Instead, they must learn to live with opposition, so long as it isn’t violent or abusive. If they can’t tolerate that, it shows just how insecure they feel about their own lifestyle.

As far as scripture is concerned, all homosexuals are sinful. Some are wicked beyond belief.

I have noted, many times, that most media refuse to publish or publicise anti-gay material, but are more than willing to make public the vilest slanders and libels made against Christians by gays! Why is this? Is this not blatant repression of Christians? Is it not suppression of the truth – or at least of opposing views?

As I have already noted, it is ‘disgusting’ for Christians to oppose homosexuality, but it is okay for gays to utter vile and blasphemous filth against Christians!

I can only urge all Christians everywhere to protest to the government, strongly, courteously, and continuously, to stop giving gays protection and special rights…they already have ordinary citizen’s rights, anyway. Make sure they have the real facts.

Christian Joy

It is sad but inevitable that those who are not Christians have no way of knowing true joy in their lives. Some, bound up in their pursuit of wealth and power, or just sexual immorality, etc., could not care less if they are truly at peace, and so they grow slowly into people who are not very nice to know. They are certainly not happy. They pretend they are, and even think that the mess they live in is happiness.

Assuming God to be real - which we do, as Believers - we know that only God can provide this true joy.

I have been sharing with friends and our Sunday study group, the phenomenal truth that God predestinates blessings, even to those who fail to be all that holy in their lifetimes. This ought to give great comfort to all believers, for we all sin and fail throughout our lives.

Yet, knowing we will fail is no excuse for throwing aside morality, and Biblical holiness. Though we will fail in our lives we must still continue to aim high.

Those who always seek to learn the truth of God will be happy (1 Kings 10:8). These listen to God to hear His wisdom. It is always sad to see Christians pretend they know it all, and therefore do not listen to God’s word properly.

We find in Job 5:17 that we should be happy to be chastened, because God thereby corrects us. To others we might seem to be at the pinnacle of our faith, but God sees us inwardly and knows where we need ‘tweeking’. So, happiness involves being humble and willing to change.

Anyone who worships God in truth is happy (Psalm 144:15). By definition, this must mean that those who do not worship God (or falsely do so) cannot be happy. It is essential to note that this worship must be ‘in truth’, for everything else is a lie and cannot sustain happiness.

Those who know God and do whatever He demands will be happy (John 13:17). Automatically, this means that the vast majority of people on this earth cannot possibly be happy. Yes, they claim to be, but they are not.

In the Old Testament we find ‘happy’ to generally mean a state of blessedness. Its root meaning is to ‘walk straight on’, to progress and advance. In itself this makes us happy. To attain to this happiness it is not good enough to just stay as we are, ‘simple Christians’ who cannot be bothered to study, worship, pray, or change our lives when the demand is made!

The New Testament version of ‘happy’ is just as stunning, where ‘happiness’ equals ‘blessed’. As we see in Jacob’s life, though we fall we must continually strive to obey God. Then, God blesses us. But, we must understand this in God’s way, for it does not mean we get blessings by doing things. No, we are blessed because God chose to bless us before the world began!

When we obey, we are simply doing what we ought to do…in the New Testament we are taught not to expect praise for things we should be doing anyway!

Is ‘joy’ the same as ‘happiness’? Not quite, and yet they are related. Joy is an exulted state. When David came back from slaughtering the Philistines, who had stolen the ark, he and the people were ecstatic! David danced with joy – simchah – gladness, gaiety, even mirth. His was a natural reaction to God’s victory over an enemy.

In John we find that the object of our joy is Christ and His sacrifice. It is a deep gladness that fills the soul and cannot be shaken by circumstances or wicked people.

At this time of year, then, don’t be put off by all the nasty and evil things going on around us. Don’t be put down by those who try to subject you to their own brand of superficiality and lack of genuine love. Don’t fall for the lie, that because you are being attacked, God must surely have forsaken you! Joy is deep. Happiness really depends on deep-seated joy.

Can you be joyful even when enemies are at the door? Friends, in all things smile and be joyful, for God is our Lord and is in control! Those who try to harm us think they get away with it and laugh at our stupidity for believing in God. Just continue to smile…and if they come and kick your teeth in (as so many wicked folk do), it does not alter anything. It just means your smile is a bit gummier!

Sorcha Faal

Ever received emails from a person called ‘Sorcha Faal’ supposedly based in Russia? She (or the organisation – we’ll assume it is a person for now) is most odd! Continually, she presents very detailed information about all kinds of evils and deceptions supposedly coming from the USA (mainly). The content and number of ‘disclosures’ are often extreme, varied, and far too detailed to be random thoughts.

The latest incredible statement is that she is offering a staggering $50 million to anyone in high office in the USA who will admit that the USA itself was behind the 9/11 plane atrocity in New York!

Not even the richest Christian group in the world can match such an offer! I have read many of this woman’s reports. Without doubt they require a source of information not available to normal citizens. It is my view that ‘she’ is acting on behalf of a government, possibly communist, pretending to be some kind of ‘spiritual’ leader in order to spread dissension about America.

I could be wrong – but if you ever read her predictions and information, they are so packed with detail (though wrong), she has to have official sources from somewhere.

Some of her information is plainly stupid, like the time she said the USA army was massing around certain American cities to take them over! The rest can be classed as ‘conspiracy theory’.

May I suggest you just ignore everything she says? Even if a small number of things she says happen to be true (?) – what on earth are we supposed to do about it?

It is to such false ‘prophets’ that money is sent in abundance! Some folk do not feel comfortable unless they have a secret (and completely unproved) source of evil to fight against! Don’t be duped. Ignore such latter-day false preachers, and rest in God.

Islam

I have noted the way Muslims are now starting to condemn terrorist acts as ‘anti-Islam’. I have petitioned Muslims to do this for several years. On TV last night, some Muslim leaders were saying that even terror groups are seeing that their waves of evil murder are working against their own aims, as the mood is changing within Muslim communities everywhere. It is good to see.

Without terrorism, Islam can then get in line with other religions. They can propagate their beliefs as they wish – so long as it is not by force or by law (which is the same thing). Only then may we live together as normal people!

As Christians we must have equal rights to speak against other religions…and the more freedom we get to do so, the quieter will be the manner of our objections.

We therefore urge all Muslim leaders to consider these simple requirements, because repression and force help no-one. Those who are already turning against terrorists are to be welcomed and commended.

Narnia

I have never seen C.S. Lewis’ book (and subsequent film) on Narnia as anything religious, let alone as an allegory of Christ’s life. Indeed, I cannot see the point in allegorising something that is already quite clear.

Even so, just as with Mel Gibson’s film, the Passion, evangelical groups are lining up to buy tickets. They will faithfully (??) take unsaved friends to see the film, and then badger them with pleas to ‘get saved’. It is both amusing and sad that Christians can be so duped by their own ideas.

The Passion was nothing but unmitigated violence. Narnia is just a fairy story. It’s about time Christians realised just how silly they are being. In effect they are handing over truth to unsaved film-makers, whose only intention is to make lots of money. Don’t pretend to yourself that it is a great evangelising tool !!

If anything, I’d suggest that your efforts will likely have no effect, or a temporary emotional one leading to a false ‘salvation’. I went down that road myself decades ago, thinking I was being a good witness. Unfortunately, I still feel the guilt for ‘leading’ people to ‘salvation’ in this way…all of whom now live lives reflecting their true state to begin with – unsaved.

If you want to see the film that’s fine – but scrap the idea it is a substitute for true evangelism.

Subscriptions

We get very few donations, even via the website. That’s a fact. Most Christians will support all kinds of ministries, especially if they appear to be bright, breezy and popular. Indeed, many ‘ministries’ deliberately focus on these popular aspects of Christian work specifically to draw a big cash input. They also tend to have followers in ecumenical and even Roman churches.

We don’t do that. Our ministry is about passing on what God is showing us. Yes, we need the financial input – but not to the point of being unfaithful to God.

The following article was written for obvious reasons. A copy was sent to the Telegraph journalist.

Are Our Police Being Straight with Us?

Last year a friend of this ministry was in distress, because the head of the Gay Police Association told her she was being ‘investigated’ for being ‘homophobic’. She is nothing of the sort.

I keep repeating – the only reason gays intimidate and force the public to do what they say, is that they have no proper argument to offer!

I wrote to the GPA and complained they were attacking a defenceless woman, who was only expressing a legitimate view. I also complained to Scotland Yard, after the same GPA threatened me, too, for defending the woman! A high-ranking police officer told me that they don’t investigate such matters. Yet – here is a police officer doing just that!

More and more scared local councils are heeding gay threats of action against them, supported by the Labour Party. Councils are in charge of local police, so police are roped in to do the bidding of gays.

After an author and broadcaster, Lynette Burrows, said on a radio programme that gays should not be allowed to adopt children, she was visited by a police officer and warned!!

Lynette said that placing a boy with two homosexual men was an obvious risk, just as it would be risky to place a little girl with two heterosexual men - which adoption authorities would not do, of course. So why put boys with gays? In what way is this ‘equality’? In what way is it moral or right?

A member of the public (gay of course!) complained that Lynette’s comments were ‘homophobic’, and so an officer was sent around to ‘investigate’. Lynette was “astounded”. She told the officer that “this is a free country, and we are allowed to express opinions on matters of public interest.” The officer told her that although it was not a crime, she nevertheless had to record the incident and warn her! Now, tell me – why is a police officer writing a report about a matter that was not a crime? Lynette was called ‘sinister’ for merely expressing a legitimate view – so what do we call sending a police officer to a citizen, to investigate and report on something that is not even a crime?

One gay writer says that gays are the best fascists, because they have no qualms about violence and hatred! Certainly this is evident in this case! Lynette adds, “They were leaning on me, letting me know that the police had an interest in my views. I think it is sinister and completely unacceptable.”

She is perfectly correct! It is not just sinister – it should also be illegal, because it is harassment of a citizen who has done nothing wrong.

Scotland Yard, commenting on the incident, weakly said that such an action is meant to “reassure the public”. Really? In which way does harassment of a law-abiding person give ‘assurance’?

We must nip this pro-gay intimidation in the bud right now! The action taken against Lynette was just plain nasty, a threat to us all. The report may indeed have been dropped, but it is indicative of the way an irate gay can put fear into ordinary men and women, simply because they do not uphold the gay lifestyle.

I also point out that gays everywhere say whatever they wish against Christians in the strongest of language. Why are they allowed freedom to do this? Will Scotland Yard investigate these, too? Why are they allowed to harass and police people just because they can’t accept homosexuality? Note that if gays harass Christians or anyone else, the same ‘hate crime’ can be levelled at them. That is what the Chief Police Officers’ ‘hate crime manual’ states!
