Well, like the USA, the UK now has its own horror-date to remember, amongst many others perpetrated by religious zealots (including 5/11, Guy Fawkes Day). (Latest – 2 dates!).

The infamy of the 7^th July, 2005, will live on as a ‘watershed’ for the UK. Why? Because, this time, the Islamic killers were ‘home-grown’. UK Muslim leaders find this very uncomfortable and are presently in a state of denial. But, Muslim these murderers were, and, in the name of Allah, they killed. That is the cold fact.

Some time ago we demanded to know what Muslim leaders would do about terrorism. You can read some of their responses on our website, in the Muslim Forum section. None of them would commit themselves to condemnation!!

Then, I warned that a time would come when western Muslims would submit to the authority of the Islamic slayers, those we tend to call ‘extremists’. I was shouted-down by Muslim leaders for saying that. Now, my words have come true! I was simply observing events and taking them to a natural conclusion. Nothing clever about it!

The young men who carried the bombs and who willingly died for their cause were ordinary folk, from ordinary backgrounds, in established Muslim families. Their parents are shocked to the core, and must not be personally blamed. But, we MUST blame Islam itself, for Islam is a religion founded on violence. (See later news-piece).

Mohammed subjugated whole nations by the sword. Violence was inflicted on ‘infidels’ (that is, anyone who did not believe in Allah). And this continues to the present day in strict Muslim countries.

The failure of Islam is evidenced by the perceived need to hold people down by force and by law, creating fear and anxiety – the preferred method of all dictators throughout history.

Another evidence is the way Muslims in the UK tend to huddle together in whole areas taken-over by Muslims. These are nothing but ghettoes, even if some areas are smart and wealthy.

Few Muslims accept the fact of their own religion, that the ‘one god’ they worship, Allah, is simply one of many minor gods. His niche can be found in the huge stone around which Muslims walk chanting every year, in Mecca! Thus, Islam is a cult, a false religion, idolatry. Yet, how many Muslims understand this?

The Koran (3:96) erroneously teaches: “Verily the first house (of worship) appointed for mankind was the one in Bakkah (Makkah or Mecca).” The first ‘house’ was built many centuries before this occurred!

The Koran is a mixture of several religious sources, including the Old and New Testaments. But, its sayings contradict and deny the truth of those same teachings, by inflicting violence and death upon those who do not bow the knee to Mohammed (who was just a man).

Read the Koran and you will find references to Muslims killing non-Muslims. This is quite consistent with God’s own prophecy, that the sons of Ishmael would always be at enmity with the people of God (both Jews and Christians).

There is no point in UK Muslim leaders trying to appease citizens. We asked them long ago to denounce Muslim terrorists. They refused to do so, and always spoke in roundabout terms, avoiding the obvious. Not once did they say that the Islamic terrorists were no longer to be considered Muslims.

Now, they are trying to distance themselves from these lawless murderers. Yet, they, too, are targets for death! Islamic terrorism is not really about spreading Islam – it is about a few evil men and women trying to grab power for themselves; Islam is merely a convenient hook on which to hang their vicious aims and objectives. Even so, Islamic it all is!

In reality, it is the terrorists who are the true Muslims! They are only enacting what their ‘holy’ book, the Koran, tells them to do!

The relative peace we now have in the UK in Muslim circles is due not to their actual belief in the Koran, but in their misinterpretation of it. They are the Muslim equivalent of ‘Christian’ ecumenicists. That is, their faith is watered-down and made acceptable. As a Christian I am thankful for their form of Islam, because it is more-or-less peaceful!!

Even so, do not be fooled by recent public denials and claims. Every Muslim is subject to Allah, and if a strong personality comes to them with commands to kill, how many would do so? We have already had at least 9 UK Muslims obeying such a call! How many more wait on the sidelines for the next call? Too many!

The UK government must be blamed for much of this. They have blatantly allowed terrorists into the UK; they openly allow unqualified ‘asylum seekers’ into the UK; they let failed seekers stay; they allow thousands of them to hide in this country; they allow rabble-rousers to stay, undeported; they know that many are linked to terrorism; they are allowing the UK to be Islamicised to the destruction of our own culture. And, thanks to the policy of terror-support, they encourage the rise of parties such as the BNP.

The whole thing will one day erupt as widespread civil unrest, if the government does not backtrack quickly and do something. Forget being PC! Forget bowing low to the EU and its infamous ‘human rights’ laws, that give rights to everyone vicious, vile, or immoral, but not to decent citizens. (Cherie Blair recently claimed that terrorists have ‘rights’ and must be protected!!!).

The terror of 7/7 will not go away. It is the start of a movement within the UK. Now, the government must accept responsibility for its stupidity, and deport those they know exist in the UK, who are, or will become, active terrorists. They must deport all who preach hatred against the country that hosts them, even if they claim they will be ‘persecuted’ by their home country. And take away their state benefits! The alternative is life-long imprisonment.

The Koran teaches what the 7/7 terrorists did. They were being true to their religion! Forget all this at your peril! We have been warning about exactly these situations for some years, but have been ignored. How many more bombs will it take for people to listen?

We do not advocate action being taken against ordinary Muslims. But, we are warning that Islam is not a religion of peace. That many in the West currently misinterpret their own Koran and so live at peace is to our advantage…but such a position is in flux.

Islam stays silent until it gains the majority. Then it demands its own rights and laws. Beware of Islam, friends. Witness to Muslims and show them the truth, in love but with firm resolve. Do not respond with hatred, but, on the other hand, do not be ignorant of the truth concerning Islam.

Koranic Violence

The Barnabas Fund recently reported that some Islamic scholars are attempting to get the Koran exempted from the new Religious Hatred Bill. (Source: The Times, 16th July 2005). Thus, for the very first time, they are admitting that the Koran contains specific incitement to violence and hatred against Jews and Christians! All along Muslims have tried to obtain special protection for their religion under the law, though it is so obviously anti-Semitic* and anti-Christian. (*This is strange for Arabs are also semitic! Today, ‘semitic’ is applied almost exclusively to Jews).

We have often said that though the UK is called a multi-racial community, it is anything but. It is observable that Muslims gather themselves into their own communities and do not bother to integrate. Compare this with the successful integration of Jamaicans in the 1950’s and 1960’s, who were successful because they bothered to live amongst white people. But, most modern Muslims are not like this. They want UK benefits but not the responsibility of being true citizens. They take over whole areas and turn them into mini-Asia’s, complete with mosques and ‘no-go’ areas. To walk through some parts of Britain is like walking in Palestine! This has been admitted by Rime Allaf, a specialist in Islam and Middle Eastern Affairs, Chatham House, London. So, welcome the call by the UK’s mainstream Muslims to root-out terrorists and to hand them over to the authorities, but also have your eyes wide open to what Islam really is. In reality, it is based on a Middle Ages book written by an individual, that promotes violence.

The Lie of Universalism

An amusing bit of information, given below (‘Odd, eh?’), prompted me to write this short article…

What can we say about a pastor who goes from preaching predestination to teaching universalism? We can say plenty!

A man who swings from one to the other does not show a fixed foundation. Indeed, he shows that his previous personal beliefs (though Biblical) were a sham. That is, though he formerly preached predestination and election, his heart and mind did not understand. He preached them because it was expected of him, or because he had been taught them in a Bible college, or by a mentor, or a book.

Such a Christian is not being led by God in his ministry. In fact, I do not hesitate to say that such a man is a spiritual fraud, not called to the pastorate or preaching by God at all! 

Even if such a man is famed in reformed circles, his whole life is a fraud, for his beliefs have never been internal or internalised. The infamous case of Roy Clements proves that.

The man whose beliefs are genuine will never be moved – whether his beliefs are right or wrong. A true Muslim will never be shaken, not because he is right, but because he has internalised his beliefs – he lives, eats, and breathes, what he has been taught.

A pastor who once taught the truth and then slides into universalism/Arminianism has never internalised his beliefs – they just sit prettily on the fireplace of his mind, to be looked at and to be a focal point of discussion, but his heart and mind have never taken them in. Most Christians live like this and many reformed preachers and pastors are of the same ilk, which is why I persist in my claim that the majority of pulpits should be empty!

Predestination is the truth, as is election. This is not just a personal view. It is what scripture plainly teaches. I have noted that even the best reformed preachers tend to think that predestination is only found in obvious texts. In this way they cannot see the glorious truth, and diminish what God says and does. Indeed, their belief in universalism and Arminianism is Romanist, not Christian.

Time and again, in the Old Testament (for example), I come across not just a few, but a myriad of texts that teach predestination as a reality.

Take the remarkable texts in Genesis 20, verses 3 to 7, where God actually intervenes spectacularly in a king’s life, by causing his thoughts to be altered, thus affecting his actions. What is this, if not predestination? And later in the chapter we find God causing the females of the king’s household to be barren...and even later, causes Abraham to pray that the barren conditions are removed. All of this speaks of predestination!

It is not my intention to give a detailed exegesis of texts in this article…I only wish to point out that predestination is a solid and immoveable truth of God’s word. It underpins everything we think and do. Or, at least it ought to, for if it does not, we will shift on the sands of a false foundation.

If predestination is a truth of God’s word, what can we say if a pastor (no matter who he is) teaches the opposite? That’s right – he is sinning! His teaching is false. It is therefore heresy. Frankly, I could not give two hoots if such a pastor is offended by this – it is he who offends God and all who teach the truth! Such a preacher has no credibility.

Universalism is the opposite of what God says in His word, and any pastor who teaches it is false, a liar, a deceiver, one who must not be a pastor of the flocks of Jesus Christ! And flocks who allow such a man to stay, are already judged by God.

The pastor or preacher who teaches that the Gospel is universal is saying that it applies to all men everywhere. If this is taught, then the implication is that anyone, anywhere, can become Christians at any time they choose to ‘accept the offer’ of the Gospel, which is given out like any other marketed commodity. This is not just a gross error of interpretation, it is also a false gospel, which Paul refers to as anathema.

Universalism avoids or rejects texts clearly teaching that God deliberately chooses who will be saved. God says that He chose who will be saved before the world was even made. Thus, if God chose us before the world was made, we cannot choose salvation ourselves. It means that God has chosen us – we cannot choose Him! We are conceived as sinners, so how on earth can we choose righteousness when our hearts are sinful?

To teach universalism is to accuse God of being uneconomic with what He does. How can a perfect God send out a message that gives false hope to all men? Why send it out when only a few will be saved? It is not rational, and is not theologically logical. The Bible does not teach universalism!

The Gospel is sent out by ordinary men – but God knows that its application is only to those who have already been chosen by Himself in eternity. As preachers we must preach to all men, simply because only God knows who will be saved.

But, even though I say this, we should not just preach willy-nilly to everyone. Christ told his disciples, after they had been scorned by a whole village, that they had to shake the dust from their feet when met with such hostility. This meant they were never again to return or to preach in that village or town. So, even when preaching, we may not just preach to everyone we meet, on every occasion - if God tells our spirits otherwise, we must not preach!

We are also not to preach to ‘dogs’ or to give pearls to swine. What is this but selection?

Not so long ago I was in a lovely English village. It was a sunny Saturday and the place was bustling with activity. As my wife and I strolled along the street, I became aware of a fairly loud voice speaking continuously in monotonous tone. I looked hard and finally saw a man on the other side of the street. It took a while to realise that he was a ‘street preacher’…or thought he was.

The sight saddened me immensely, for though I understood his zeal, I knew that he did not himself understand the calling of God, or the way God speaks to men. (As one who has spoken ‘successfully’ in the open air, I have some knowledge of this matter).

I stood awhile watching. The man had his head down, swayed back and forth, and literally droned, non-stop, in a loud voice, whilst reading from a Bible. He was standing facing the road, so his voice was drowned-out by the large volume of cars passing by. What was the point? In truth, his whole demeanour (especially his rocking back and forth) was like that of a mental hospital inmate…and was probably how onlookers saw him, too.

Near him stood a man with a rather large belly (under a shirt that had its buttons undone over the belly), his companion. He stood leaning against a rubbish bin with a grim face with mouth downturned, as though in condemnation and superiority. His arms were folded over his belly as he stared out to the road not looking at anyone.

Then, another man joined them, and started to also speak loudly from the same texts (but not quite in tandem, so sounding like an echo), again talking into the traffic, whilst walking back and forth, head down! Both men ‘preached’ from the same text together, but slightly out of sync with each other. The entire scene was far from welcoming, or friendly, or authoritative, or even understandable!

Was this preaching? Of course not! Were they called by God to stand there and speak? Of course not! I can say this with utter conviction…can you see why?

What drove them to that place was not God, but their own idea of what they ought to do – an Arminian belief in what the Gospel is. They stood shouting into thin air where no-one could hear them. To others they seemed mad and incoherent. They just saw men shouting at cars, but could not hear the actual words. I certainly could not hear what was being said! And so the word of God was brought into disrepute.

When Paul was called to speak outdoors, he had an effect! That’s because he was speaking by God’s command. The same went for Peter on the day of Pentecost, etc.

Those village men spoke into thin air because they truly felt everyone should hear the Gospel at any time. They had a ‘universalist’ idea of what the Gospel is. But, who did they reach? Who did they preach to? Their words bounced off passing cars and were lost in the atmosphere! The whole atmosphere they generated was one of indifference, superiority and imbalance.

Far better if they had the prompting of God to speak to a single person, or a defined group. But, only if God prompted them to do so. I have seen some outdoor ‘preachers’ go from person to person quoting strings of scripture at them without bothering to explain what on earth they were talking about. Is that preaching? No it is not.

Friends, if God chose who would be saved before He made the world, why should He send out preachers to speak to all and sundry? Instead, does He not send out preachers to speak to exactly the people who are already chosen? We may not know who these people are, but God will direct those folk to be amongst a group or congregation, or He will make sure that the preacher speaks to that person individually.

(Why should God do this, when He has chosen only a few? The answer is in scripture – so that all the others will see the Gospel as a stumblingblock and they will thus be damned).

When I speak to a group or church, I know, as I speak, when someone is being prompted by God. Often, this is immediately attested to by the ones hearing, and they tell me “That was meant for me!” At any rate, I know, because God’s Spirit speaks to my spirit, and I only speak when I am prompted to do so by God. I never teach or preach by rote, or because it is expected of me, or because it is Sunday, as do the majority of paid pastors and preachers.

God does not shout verses into the air. He speaks directly to people, and the Gospel is only given effectually to those who are already chosen. All others, the majority of people, are lost, and the Gospel is then their stumblingblock.

If, then, your pastor teaches universalism, you know that he is teaching heresy. Give him the opportunity to rethink his words, for some teach this absurdity out of sheer ignorance. But, if he does not listen, he must be rebuked. And if he does not change, you must leave the local church…unless you can be rid of the pastor…whoever he is, and no matter how famed he might be.

Suffice to say that a man who constantly teaches error is not called by God to be a pastor or a preacher. Remember, universalism is a false gospel, sent to deceive. It is Arminian and it is heresy. It is not a legitimate ‘alternative view’! If you are comfortable with that, then so be it – but you will be sinning, just like the pastor who preaches universalism.

And if, like those who thought (erroneously) that I was referring to them, you think the finger is pointing at you…well, I can only repeat the old saying: “If the cap fits…”

Gypsy Serenade…

The ‘gypsy’ situation is now out of hand. In the UK tinkers (not gypsies – the media seems unable to differentiate the two) do whatever they like, trashing the countryside and ruining people’s lives. And we all pay for it through our taxes.

But it has become a whole lot worse! Slovakia is not economically sound, but it is now paying whole groups of Slovakian ‘gypsies’ to move to the UK!! None of them works, and they expect that the UK will give them state handouts…which we will.

The first will be an entire village – 250 have already made the move, with another 200 to follow. This has been made possible by the appallingly gross EU policies and laws. As many as one third of a whole region of Slovakia intends to move here by 2010! Slovakians call these people “thieves and scroungers”…why not?…they can join our own tinkers (who mainly come from Ireland, not the UK) and help to ruin the country!

A spokesman for the region says that “Britain is the No. 1 target”. Good to know, eh? And we can blame it all on Blair’s government, as we are the only EU country to act this way.

Altogether there are 100,000 gypsies in Slovakia, and all of them are unemployed. It is nice to help folk, especially if they are in dire need…but the UK is being swamped, its health service ruined, and state benefits at a point of collapse, all because the UK is bending over backwards to be totally amenable to everybody, regardless of ability (or intention) to work and put something back into the system.

Meanwhile, back in the countryside, ‘travellers’ (tinkers) are being kept at bay by a private security firm, hired by a luckless village. Since tinkers moved in there has been a crime wave of burglaries and violence. That is in Brightling, Sussex. The security men are all ex-forces personnel – and there has since been no crime! Before this the residents were intimidated daily but the police did nothing.

It is a fact that tinkers give nothing back to society, but only take, creating fear through violence and crime. Then, when they leave, the bill for cleaning up lands on the taxpayers’ doorstep. And it is John Prescott, deputy prime minister, who allows it to continue, giving tinkers all the help they need to do their damage. (The latest is that he is giving councils millions of pounds to build caravan sites. This is for tinkers who live in mayhem and wreak violence and bring crime! Those sites will bring total dismay to ordinary citizens, and will be ruined within months).

As we have said many times before, if people of any nation wish to come here, they are most welcome – but not if they are criminal, lazy, have communicable diseases, or want only to milk the system. We are fast becoming the world’s dustbin. But that is the result of sin and shunning godly laws.

Another Government Folly

The government fails miserably to capture and detain Muslim terrorists and supporters. They run around the UK with impunity! Like cleric Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed. He has blatantly called upon Muslims in the UK to kill non-Muslims. Yet, he remains free (and, of course, he gets state benefits!).

He also called for the American embassy in London to be stormed. And guess what – yes, he lives on…UK state benefits!! On another website he calls upon young Muslims to become Al Qaeda suicide bombers. How much more of this must we take before locking him up for life?

The events of recent days, when the police rapidly captured Muslim terrorists, is good but not good enough. Police must now be given a free hand to remove all who follow their wicked ways, regardless of Muslim outrage or insane EU laws.

Children at Risk

Police raided a USA paedophile’s home and found shocking evidence that he may have abused children 36,000 times over 30 years! They found a list containing 1360 names of boys, and details of sex acts committed against them, some of them in foreign countries.

Readers ought to understand that paedophiles are amongst the worst offenders to have, for they have never been known to stop their activities or to repent or change. (Note that wife-beaters are of the same kind).

Therefore, programmes of ‘rehabilitation’ are fruitless and a farce. What they need is prison for life, or even the death penalty.

Foreign Doctors

A warning has been issued that foreign doctors may not be as experienced as those in the UK, and have far less experience with children. This stark warning from the shadow health secretary must be heeded – as he said, if you are a GP on night duty and a child may have meningitis, he has to get the diagnosis correct first time and act swiftly.

I remember years ago learning that the reason we do not have enough student doctors is that the doctors’ leaders themselves were deliberately making it tougher to enter medical school, in an effort to retain the image of an elite force. Because of this, foreign doctors fill our hospitals, and a huge number are unable to properly speak English. I know of one accident unit that had a foreign doctor on duty with foreign nurses, none of whom could speak adequate English!

It is all very well filling vacancies with foreigners – but it does not help us properly. Nor does it help UK students to become nurses or doctors.

Recently nurses’ and doctors’ leaders warned the government that by bringing large numbers of doctors and nurses to the UK from developing countries, they are depriving those countries of medical help.

As we have said about the anti-poverty activities of pop singers like Bob Geldof, the much publicised ideas designed to ‘help’ poor countries have thus far only served to destroy them. It sounds great – to obliterate poverty…but in reality, help does not reach those who need it, and even if it does, it only helps vicious dictators to stay in power longer.

It was Jesus Who said that the poor are with us always – our priority is not to be social workers or world bankers, but to preach the Gospel. It is a fallacy that we must firstly feed and help people…indeed, that is yet another example of Arminianism!

(A week ago I had to travel to a hospital in Cardiff, Wales – about 50 miles away – to assess a patient. I was met by an Asian nurse who did not understand what I was saying, and who I did not understand, either. I asked to see the patient and gave her name. The nurse looked perplexed and said “I do not know this person”.

Then, she started to search the ward as I trailed behind. She looked into a six-bedded unit and came out, then went back in again, saying “Ah. She in there.” I went in and the nurse left, leaving me alone. I need to ask questions!

Ah well, I thought, and started to interview the patient. At first she appeared to be sensible, but I realised that maybe all was not as it seemed. I looked around and found some medical notes. Indeed, the scrappy entries told me that this lady had dementia. All the answers she gave me were contradicted by the doctor’s notes!

Anyway, in frustration I completed what I could of my assessment, and tried to find a nurse. This took a while, and finally a UK-born nurse spoke to me. I started to ask questions, but she refused to answer, saying I had to speak to the nurse who was named as the patient’s special nurse. Who was that? Yes, it was the very Asian nurse who did not know who the patient was!

I started to ask my questions, which were important, but she just looked puzzled. She gave a reply but I did not understand what she said. Nor did she understand what I was asking her! In the end I told the English-speaking nurse that I would telephone the social worker the next day!

In a way that was quite a funny episode – but it illustrates the difficulty of employing people who cannot speak the language.)

Odd, eh?

In the last Beacon I made reference to a couple who were forced to leave their church by a pastor who had ‘turned sour’ by teaching wrong doctrine. It has come to my ears that a certain church believed I was talking about them, and the pastor became angry at the comments. It is with amusement that I am able to say that the article was not about them at all! Odd, eh? (But, note my words above…if the cap fits…)

Asylum

According to William Hague, former Tory leader, the government is finally admitting that the number of illegal asylum seekers they previously denied is correct – about half a million!

That is, 500,000 illegal immigrants, who, because they are illegal, will continue to live illegally, costing this country billions and ruining our culture and way of life. To say that this is intolerable is an understatement!

Add to that figure another three quarters of illegals who are being ‘processed’ (how that is possible when most of them have already escaped and been soaked into the UK’s criminal sub-culture I don’t know!), and we already have one and a quarter million illegals in the UK. That’s the equivalent of five large UK towns!!

As the UK is led deeper into the EU by our friend and national funeral director (because he is burying the UK), Tony Blair, we can expect this figure to increase dramatically. And, remember, this figure is only the number we know about – others have come here without our knowledge. It seems that the UK has the world’s criminals and cheats dumped on us…but be assured, we’ll pay them to stay!

Once again I would warn those churches that happily help illegal immigrants. What you do is not just helping to increase illegality, but it also showing a distinct lack of knowledge of scripture. Your help is a hindrance, and encourages illegals to stay and to make their sinful mark known – and as many of them have criminal intent, or the intent of sucking our benefits systems dry, you are sinning by taking their side. God help you to understand.

(Don’t bother to send angry letters, or criticisms…there is no way you can justify what you do, whether socially or Biblically).

Blair and Islam

On Saturday 16th July, Tony Blair made an excellent speech at the Policy Forum conference. The first part properly described Islamic terrorism and what it really stands for. He correctly said that Islamic terrorism needs no reason to murder and that any reasons given are always a pretext…Palestine, Afghanistan, Israel…everything is just an excuse to murder. And, when Islamic countries become democratic, in go Islamic terrorists to cause mayhem!

It is right that we should work with Muslim neighbours in the UK and abroad, to maintain peace and social ease. After all, for centuries in the Middle East, Christian, Jew, and Muslim lived side-by-side. It took the fiendishness of Yasser Arafat to bring about Islamic extremism and terror, and though now dead, his creed of sickening unprovoked murder lives on. And whenever Israel strived hard toward peace with Palestine, he made very sure that peace did not occur.

I do not really care that a fundamental apostasy underlies current Muslim cooperation (because Islam is a false religion). I only care that social peace continues. Within that peace we may then witness.

One thing was noticed in Blair’s speech, however – that is, the globalisation of peace. I have already predicted that Muslims will cooperate with non-Muslims for the sake of peace. This will not eliminate all terrorists, but it will marginalise them. The aim is not human but Satanic – to bring all creeds and races together under the banner of ‘peace’, so that Christian truth can be watered down and almost got rid of, by calling it divisive.

Also…

I ask Muslim leaders, once again, to explain something to me. You all now publicly condemn suicide bombings and say it is ‘not Islamic’. But, continually, you use the word ‘innocent’. I have yet to hear a politician ask for a definition! Surely I am not the only one to notice this?

So, please explain to me, and the rest of the UK – what do you mean when you say that it is not Islamic to kill ‘innocent’ people? I believe that you are being very careful with your words. If you are saying that some are ‘innocent’, then, logically, you are saying that others are ‘guilty’ and deserve to be killed. Who ‘deserves’ to be killed?

It is very important that you clear this up, for if my supposition is correct, you are actually saying that the killing of some is Islamic! (Which is what the Koran truly teaches). I have yet to hear Muslim leaders come clean on this one. It is about time that you did.

Meanwhile…

I find it disturbing that the London police who shot the wrong man in an underground train have been taken to task! The facts might be sickening, but they are taught to shoot a suspected bomber in the head, so that he is killed immediately. If he is not shot in the head, he could still trigger a bomb.

That is why the Brazilian electrician died. He was seen to live in the same house as the bombers, and he was carrying a similar rucksack. When warned by police to stop, he ran and tried to get away. They assumed the rucksack contained a bomb and were forced to shoot him dead. If he had simply stopped, he would be alive today.

It turns out that he was in the UK illegally, and that is why he ran. Whilst it is sad that he lost his life, it is also understandable, and the police should not be castigated over the event. We can expect much more of this in the future, and the police must have our fullest support, even when they make errors. This was not, however, an error – it was a combination of circumstances at a time when London was on high alert, and a man running from police.

Why?

You might remember the pastor who ignored me at a function not so long ago, and then later said to others that he would have loved to have chatted with me?

The same pastor and wife saw me on three occasions to my knowledge, over the past few months, whilst shopping at a supermarket. I know that the man saw me each time, because my wife (who was getting food a short distance away) saw him looking straight at me, and then walking away. Though he was but a foot or so away from me, he never attempted to talk to me!

The last time, I was right behind him at the checkout. He looked straight at me again, and at my wife, as I stood literally a few inches from him. This time, I just carried on loading our food onto the checkout desk and did not look at him. I did it to give him an opportunity to approach me. (My wife could see his reactions as she stood behind me). But, if he did not wish to, he could just put his food into the bags and walk away, pretending not to have seen me. He chose the latter!

We are talking about a pastor who wanted dearly to talk with me! So, why did he ignore me all those times? Why could this man not have spoken to me, a fellow Believer? It is because his desire to talk with me was not genuine. In reality, he probably wishes, along with many others, that I did not exist, given past history. He sees me as a rebel, or even a ‘backslider’. (I hereby challenge his understanding of what I am and what I teach!).

That is what pretend fellowship is all about (any readers know what I am talking about). I would prefer that those who pretend to be my friend actually were honest. Instead, they go on pretending, not wishing to face their own falsity. On such is the faith resting!

The Cost of Fame

A woman who owns the home that was once lived in by the current pope is moving out “because there are too many pilgrims knocking on her door.”

She says that before he became pope, the house would have sold for about £200,000. Now, since he has become pope, she has received offers of over £6 million! I wonder why she really wants to move? A slap on the back for anyone who might have the right answer!

Do Not Forget…

Do not forget that charismaticism is an hybrid religion, a false movement, spawned by Satan to effect a quick transfer into heresy. And do not forget that whilst mainstream Pentecostalism might seem to be quite tame by comparison, it, too, was born out of spiritism at Azusa Street.

You will probably know that Pentecostalism has sub-divided thousands of times into a myriad of other denominations and groups, including Elim, AoG, and many others. Each is tainted by the Azusa Street heritage.

These groups are now the mainstream, thanks to the evil and ongoing ‘Toronto Blessing’ (and all its derivatives), which shattered churches as we once knew them. It would be very easy to just let their history slip away. Most folk are the same – they cannot stomach fighting, and desperately want to return to a quiet life, even if this means allowing evil and heresy to continue unchallenged. In such an attitude is their demise. Do not forget!

Homeless Deception

Leeds have a special team of police who target so-called ‘homeless’ young people. The person who leads the team said that almost none of the 700 he has arrested over the past two months are ‘homeless’. Rather, they sleep rough because of their habits. They go into the town and commit up to three crimes a day, to support their drug habits. (This is what happens across the UK). This is why they are targeted.

The team harasses them constantly, and many who were arrested and forced to move on are now working at real jobs and have gone back to proper accommodation.

It is a fact that Christians are easy meat for these ‘homeless’ people, who sponge off them constantly. Sadly, many Christians have good hearts but sleepy brains! To these good folk, ‘homeless’ means giving money and food to men and women simply because they do not have fixed abodes. These people spin a good yarn and Christians believe them!

But, ‘help’ is drastically misplaced, because it is used to fund sinful habits, many of which are connected with assaults against others and the attracting of others (maybe a member of your family) into the same disgusting and dangerous habits. (I know parents whose kids have been drawn into drugs and demise by this same thing)

Wake up, my friends! Don’t give money to the so-called ‘homeless’ in the UK. By doing so you thwart the work of the police, and make things much worse, ensuring that the ones you ‘help’ continue in their lives of crime and sinfulness. No person need be homeless in the UK…there are always places to go. But, if you want to ignore society, the law and morality, you will sleep rough and take handouts! And there are still plenty of gullible Christians to fleece.

Be Careful

It is understandable when a person with severe pain takes painkillers – but certain drugs do not just kill pain, they also kill you!

Many folk take Ibuprofen for their pain. But latest research shows that taking this drug regularly can increase the possibility of a heart attack by a quarter. And some of the alternatives used to treat inflammation are even worse.

For this reason I am seeking a review of drugs for some of my residents and suggest that if you take these drugs, you seek advice from your doctor, and ask for a different approach to your pain.

UK Judges are Nuts!

The government allowed for local councils to issue blanket curfews to all youngsters under age 16. They had to go home before nine o’clock at night.

This is because most crimes and violence come from youngsters out at night. Simple. But not, it seems, to judges, who bend over backward in the UK in the interests of ‘human rights’ and fostering of the yob culture. I still say that if judges had these young thugs living in their street, they would not be so quick to let them loose on the rest of us!

Now, judges have overruled curfews and declared them illegal, thus putting young thugs back on the streets. It is true that not all youngsters are thugs or criminals. Not all who are out at night are going to do something illegal. But, the majority of these crimes come from people of that age.

Also, what on earth is an under-16 doing out at nine at night? Under 18’s should be in their own homes by 8 pm. They should not be out at night for any reason on their own, if only for their own safety! A curfew is a logical and humane act. It not only protects innocent kids, but it helps to stop crime and intimidation of others.

Let me be frank about it, as a psychiatric nurse I was able to take care of myself. I had to, being surrounded by hard men with violence on their minds! Though a Christian I could not afford to be namby-pamby or delicate. Indeed, I could not see anything in scripture that says I must be a fool, a punch-bag for evil men.

Nowadays, I cannot defend myself, because the law prevents it. In my days as a youngster, a grown-up could clip me around the ear if I was cheeky, let alone out of line. I certainly would expect much worse if, as a youngster, I attempted to mug or intimidate a grown man! (I didn’t, by the way). But now? A youngster can spit in my face, call me foul names and threaten my person, and (in theory) I cannot do anything in return. For a man, this is intolerable!

If the law does not again start to take control of societies and youngsters on the streets, I can see the emergence of vigilantes, made up of men who have had enough of being blatantly taunted by young kids who have never had to face the anger of grown-ups. By that time, it will be too late.

In the article above about the police in Leeds dealing with youngsters taking drugs, we see just a small proportion of the growing rebellion of kids. I like to see independence in a child, but not rudeness or disregard for adult wisdom. I see in many Christian kids this same self-centered regard for their own choices and decisions. It cannot go on.

Curfews have proved to be effective against crime and violence. Don’t let our judges, who all live in luxurious homes behind walls and gates, rule the roost. They have now let loose thousands of youngsters on our streets, who will mug, steal, damage and intimidate whole towns and villages.

Rights…again!

Yes, we must protect the vulnerable. But when these ‘vulnerable’ people are violent toward others, or threaten to kill, we have no option but to restrain them, behind bars if necessary.

Mental health nurses and campaigners are angry because the government will not go back on its intention to keep dangerous people (or those who show a desire to be dangerous) behind locked doors. I cannot fathom this kind of warped thinking.

If a man or woman is determined to do harm to others, or has a history of doing harm, or, because of his or her stated intentions, might do harm, then we must lock them up. I don’t care if the person is ‘mentally ill’ or not. It does not matter to a victim if he is killed by a rational man or a mentally deranged man – either way he is killed!

These nurses (who would not have survived even in my own psychiatric days in the 70’s, with such a ridiculously ‘free’ attitude) are progressive to the point of stupidity. There is no way that I would ever work in a psychiatric hospital again.

They say that it is wrong to force violent patients to take their medication. They would have been shocked to see me and my colleagues holding violent patients down and having injections straight through their clothing! Let go, and they would punch, kick and lunge without mercy. They would cause injury and maiming, or even death. There was no way that any of us would let that happen.

But, today, it seems that a violent patient can refuse the drugs that will calm him down. I am well aware of the effect drugs can have, and their side-effects – but I would not hesitate to force a man bent on violence or murder to take drugs that would subdue him. And if such drugs had an adverse effect, then so be it…it saved lives.

For the same reason we had to give repeated ECT’s to one particular man. An electric charge into the brain might seem barbaric – but it worked, when drugs failed! As one of those faced by this big violent man every day, I had no qualms about calming him down. (I still remember the day when a colleague and I had to literally fight him every inch of the way as we forced him to return to a locked ward. If we did not, he would have done serious damage to others or to ourselves).

Perhaps some readers are shocked by these tales, but they were very real and we had no options. Many Christians live in a rose-tinted world, but even Christian psychiatric nurses, police and soldiers have to face reality every day. And do things that are distasteful and even violent. They need prayer, support, and understanding, not condemnation.

So, support the government in their decision to lock-up violent men, or those who will commit violence if given the opportunity. Support the use of enforced medication, too. The alternative might be to find yourself at the end of a kitchen knife in the park.

A Reminder

The usual reason why folk reject our fellowship is that we have somehow stepped on their theological toes. They are quite enthusiastic over many teachings, but if we inadvertently cross their favoured beliefs, they slip away into the ether never to be seen again. Whether this is actual or from a distance is irrelevant for the attitude is the same.

I would like to remind readers that there is remarkable unity throughout scripture. Very few texts can be called ‘ambiguous’, and few texts can be given ‘alternative’ meanings. Yet, how many Christians go off in a huff because others deny them the ‘right’ to interpret as they wish?

Very often, I am rebuked by Christians (or am just left alone) who say that ‘my’ interpretation is wrong. I have to point out that I do not have ‘my’ interpretation, but only what scripture says. But it makes no difference to them. They insist on going off on their own, maybe to join others of like mind…that is, Christians who cannot tolerate anyone telling them something they cannot accept, even though it is scriptural.

I will repeat, and I will remind readers, that very few scriptures can be given ‘alternative’ meanings. In my own ministry I interpret as the text allows, and do not give my own reasoning (unless I plainly say it is my own). But many folk think they can ‘interpret’ as they wish, disregarding proper rules of interpretation and claiming ‘freedom’ to do so. Their ‘freedom’ is not given by God, but is a delusion.
