Save…er…Everything?

We already have ‘animal rights’ campaigners who are more than willing to kill scientists who use animals in experiments. But, I could not believe my eyes when I read of the newest of them – wait for it – the ‘Lobster Liberation Front’!!! (Western Mail, 31st July).

This group, complete with black head masks and the usual SAS-style tactics, have already trashed the businesses of fishermen in Dorset, UK. This absurd new ‘army’, which began in the USA (of course!) believes lobsters should stay in the sea, and they will fight, literally, to ‘free’ these crustaceans from being eaten.

The fact that fishermen make their living by catching lobster, and the creatures are actually eaten and not just killed, makes no difference. The UK group made its absurd but vicious presence felt when it attacked a fisherman’s boat, destroyed his engine, ripped open the front of the boathouse, smashed lobster pots and threw his catch back into the sea, costing the man about £10,000.  As you can imagine, this has not gone down too well in Dorset!

The group said: “No animal should be sacrificed for human greed, let alone boiled alive.” When people talk about ‘sacrificing’ animals’ for food, they have a serious personal problem! Scripture tells us that Man has complete domination over animals, which can be killed and eaten, and used for other products such as clothing. Therefore, Christians ought not be involved in animal rights groups.

We may legitimately lobby for proper killing techniques. We can lobby that animals are not put through painful research processes for inane purposes such as non-medical gain. We can also try to put a stop to boiling lobsters alive (something I personally find repugnant). But we have no Biblical justification in attacking those who earn their living by catching sea animals for food.

The numbers of Christians who are becoming vegetarians (even though there can be serious health risks when taken to extremes) and joining ‘save our planet’ style movements are increasing, without any Biblical justification whatever.

This Lobster liberation farce, though absurd, tells us that people are becoming even more irrational. When they are ready to destroy and even kill, for the sake of animals, there is a serious problem with society as a whole. I suggest that the real army is sent out to catch this insane lot. Perhaps a pincer movement might help them to get their claws on the red-faced culprits!

In another part of the UK a farmer who breeds guinea pigs for medical research projects is being seriously persecuted by extremists, who refer to him as a ‘murderer’. They have attacked his farm and family and have also attacked every single person in the village who knows him. Lately, they have resorted to branding the farmer a paedophile, in an effort to get rid of him! Even if they have a case, this is not the way to go about expressing it.

Meanwhile, make very sure that you don’t step on ants, otherwise the International Squished Ant Freedom Army might just send an expeditionary force against you!

Just a Sigh…

Repeatedly, I receive letters from folk who simply blast away at me for something they think I have said or believe, when, all along, they have taken hold of the wrong end of the stick. Or, they insist on reading between the lines and make me ‘say’ things I never said at all.

Recently, I received several such communications from a woman who managed to mix up just about everything I stand for and everything I have said! Indeed, she was so mixed up in what she said I could not respond.

In a muted-triumph sort of way she warned me that churchgoers in Swansea advised her to steer clear of “the Napier family because they are poison” (also see next article)…as if that was news! It is more accurate to say that many steer clear because they know I will not tolerate their heresies and bad practices and love of useless tradition!

I have no need to beat myself up over any mistakes I make – there are many out there who are only too glad to do the beating-up for me, as they frequently do, even when I make no mistakes at all! If I go wrong I repent and take a good long look at myself…something my critics do not appear to do to themselves.

We Can Get it Wrong

Those who follow the Reformed line totally should remember that not all from those times was agreeable or commendable.

Take for example, how Luther responded to the Jews of his day. He went from one extreme to another. In his Das Jesus Christus eyn geborner Jude sey (1523) he was, even in the eyes of Jewish scholars, quite benevolent. But then he wrote Von den Jueden und jren Luegen (1543), which was a vehement attack on Jews. Calvin was less virulent, but he, too, expressed a vacillating attitude toward Jews. Modern Jews are convinced that it was Luther’s later attacks on them that were at the root of later Nazi propaganda.

On the other hand, Jews believe that the Reformation did much good by removing veneration of the Host, at a time when Jews were charged with desecrating it. Also, in many ways, the differences between Jews and Christians disappeared, making for a more relaxed society. Kabbalistic Jewish teachers even thought Luther was a ‘crypto-Jew’ because he was trying to take people away from the bad elements within the churches.

It is interesting to see how the history of another religion sees the Reformation! It also makes me wonder what people will say of me in many years hence… “Barry Napier, leader of a small and vile cult, whose rantings caused Christians everywhere to isolate him as an heretic. In his lifetime people in his home town were warned not to associate with his family, because they were ‘poison’.”

I have no doubt that this will indeed be one of my epithets, seeing as how some already say these things! I honestly do try to portray genuine Christian faith…I just pray that I do not, like some of our Reformed heroes, let myself down with writings that are not truly of scripture. If I am vilified for being scriptural I will not care too much about the desecration of my name!

Stop & Search

We believe that every country has a right to defend itself against terrorists. If this means, as it has done, a four-fold rise in stop-and-search of Asians in some places, then so be it.

If Al Qaeda consists of a high concentration of Asians, then it is supremely cautious and right that Asians should be targeted for searches, in the same way that hooded skinheads on council estates are targeted for car-crimes and thuggery.

The stop-and-search of mainly Asians is nothing to do with racism, but has everything to do with observation – the recruitment of UK Asians to the ranks of terrorism is well-known. Yet, five times as many white people were stopped in the same period for similar reasons…so why are Asians kicking up such a fuss?

Mainly, Asians were stopped for drugs and whites for theft. Either way, in such a growing violent and criminal society, police need every edge they can gain, even if it offends the politically-correct. The Islamic Human Rights Commission cries out that this is proof of “Islamophobia and Islam profiling when dealing with terrorism.” What rubbish! Al Qaeda is made up of Asians and black people whose religion is extremist Islam. I wonder why police, then, think that Muslims might be behind it all? I must try to think that one out!! For goodness sake, let’s all ‘get real’!

The Association of Chief Police Officers says that in the fight against terrorism, this upsurge in stop and search of Asians is justified, and we agree with them. They say that it has no racial motivation, and we agree with that, also.

On top of that Al Qaeda have made threats of carnage against the West. We are a Christian ministry but we are not stupid – the stop and search numbers are actually very small, but the practice is justified in the face of death and mayhem. You will not find trepidation about applying justice and control in scripture…or in Islamic countries!

The Elijah List

Sadly, we are going back to gold dust again! Charismatic ‘prophets’ love to spin a good yarn, foisting their daft musings on their gullible fellows, who, of course, lap up every drip as if it really was from God!

In late 2003 Catherine Brown, of ‘Gatekeepers’ had her ‘prophecy’ published by the ‘Elijah List’. And it was immediately swallowed hook, line and sinker, by many charismatics. The prophecy was aimed at the country of Wales which, said ‘God’, had suffered for a long time in the mining industry.

‘God’ is telling us that He will cause Wales to shine as a beacon before the world in a coming revival (even though scripture says the exact opposite – there will be no last days’ revival, only a falling away, and the removal of evangelism from Gentiles, which will be given back to the Jews. But there, who cares about what ol’ scripture says, when we’ve got charismatic prophets?)

Lo and behold – Pensacola will be forgotten, along with Toronto, because Wales will be the new centre to which everyone in the world will go to get ‘infected’ (the word used by the prophet, not me!).

There will be miracle healings and from the sound of it, almost all of Wales will be ‘touched’. Truth will abound…but how can it when charismatics have repressed and twisted it themselves and believed a total lie? On top of that ‘God’ says He is raising up “an army of radical worshipping warriors” who will dethrone the false gods. Does this mean that he will cast down charismatic churches, too, and their false systems and beliefs? Maybe not!!

At this time, independent thinking (called in the prophecy ‘maverick’) will be removed. Good one that - stop Christians thinking about what is happening by calling it a sin! Exactly what happened when the vile Toronto Blessing emerged and destroyed thousands of churches!

Part of Wales is already ‘like a tinder’ to receive the ‘next move’ of the Spirit. No doubt it is, as charismatics fall for yet another bit of nonsense.

And guess what – there will even be a “new generation of monastic saints”! And people are believing this rubbish. As this new movement sweeps northward drug trafficking will cease as will many other evils…despite what scripture says about the last days. In other words, this so-called ‘prophecy’ flies in the face of the Bible.

Jamaica will be a “pioneer nation of the faith” and the people will be persecuted. Even now Yardie drug lords are being prepared to receive salvation.

Cornwall will become “kingdom Celts” and will join with massive numbers in “kingdom gatherings”. The Celts will again arise but in unity. The country of Ireland will ‘stun the world’ with its worship as “anointed minstrels will teach in New Millennium worship schools.”

Toward the end of this complex ‘prophecy’ we are told specifically that actual gold dust and other gold will be manifest. There will even be the appearance of small gems…rubies, diamonds and emeralds. When these appear it will be a sign that God’s kingdom is accelerating before revival. The time is supposed to be around 2004, so we should not have too long to wait!

Friends, charismatics are bold enough to utter these ‘prophecies’ even though none of them come about. Here is one that covers much of the globe, so watch out for it. And if it does not come to pass, will anyone bother to rebuke this woman? Of course not! They will carry on as before.

It is quite possible that there will be supernatural signs and wonders, including gold and gems. Satan is great at party tricks! We can expect to see a quickening of effort in charismatic circles because otherwise they will lose their audiences. They must now produce new signs and wonders to maintain interest! All this was predicted by us when the Toronto Blessing made its appearance.

There is a lot more to this ‘prophecy’, and those with discernment will not recognise the words as coming from God. They are the words of Satan, spoken through a deluded woman who will deceive many others. They will wait with anticipation for the supernatural events to occur and will then praise God for what Satan has done.

After that, they will be convinced that their brand of cultism is right and will await the next ‘wave’ of signs and wonders! And so the merry-go-round spins, keeping deluded souls imprisoned until they die and discover the terrible truth.

This ‘mighty vision’ was given to Catherine Brown, a self-appointed evangelist who started the Gate Keepers. This, in spite of the fact that women should remain silent in the churches.

Maybe her desire to see souls saved is genuine – but her work is not. She also says that she ‘dances’ in spirit. Oh dear! You might be interested to know that R T Kendall and Noel Richards are becoming involved in this. I’m not surprised. So is Nicky Gumbel and others well-known for their heresy. The Alpha Course is also provided as a link. See how deceptions gravitate toward each other?

This lady, well-intentioned but deluded, will convince thousands, as do the other charismatic deceivers (Hinn, et al). God help the West as these people manage to kid so many. No doubt this initiative will help to erode the walls of many more Reformed churches and people, as well as bring back many ex-charismatics who will be persuaded that maybe they left the movement too early!

I predict that this will occur with rapidity and genuine churches will be infiltrated by such evil deceptions - the time is coming, as we said in the mid 1990’s. I repeat, God help us all as these Satanic delusions unfold.

By the way…

What if these things actually come to pass? How can it happen? About 30 years ago I read the works of Kurt Koch and realised that demons are able to fake prophecies through vulnerable folk. The demons then organise things so that the matters spoken of come about, simply by making people do and say things. They can even produce gold and gems. The Gate Keepers already have willing hands in many parts of the UK and abroad.

All demons have to do is make these deluded people do and say things to make the prophecy self-fulfilling, at the time they wish them to act. Simple really, and a really spiffing yarn! It’s about time that Christians woke up to reality.

Young & Foolish

There are moves to set up courts that have youngsters on the bench, aged 14 – 16. I think our judicial system must be going potty! (Daily Telegraph, 23rd August). I will not comment any further on this obvious wackiness.

The Decline of Litrusy

The CBI (UK) have lamented the lack of youth litrusy (I mean literacy), especially those who have undertaken ‘A’ levels.

The CBI places the blame for this decline on the myriad of governmental follies that burst forth from our education gurus, and I agree with them.

When I was in school we had to learn words by rote. I had to take home lists of words and learn them by the next day. As a result I can spell! So could most of my friends. Today, pupils are not given spelling tests and teachers do not bother when they come across mistakes.

In my work I receive many application forms, some from graduates and many from school-leavers who have just taken their ‘A’ levels. I have yet to come across one application form that does not contain basic spelling errors! Many younger nursing colleagues, too, cannot spell.

I suggest that the government gows bakk two skool to lern spelin, befour the kuntry gows two ther dogz! Wot do yew thinc?

Boscastle Disaster

A Christian friend pointed me to an article on the flooding of Boscastle in Cornwall, UK. No-one was killed or seriously injured, but there has been extensive structural damage. Prince Charles visited the village and made a substantial grant to help, something we do not think he has done before.

The point being made by my friend was that this village houses a witchcraft museum. I also have reported previously on the active interest the Prince has shown in the occult. Was this severe damage a judgement from God on the village?

Many Christians I know do not take God’s wrath seriously, and do not think that He punishes people in this way today. I can assure them that He does. It might be a mistake, therefore, to just pass this off as a ‘natural’ disaster. How can the locals allow such an evil museum to exist in their village?

Schism? Good!

Next month, Lord Carey, former archbishop, will be blessing ‘traditionalist’ Anglicans in the USA who stand against homosexuality and against their own pro-gay bishop. (Daily Telegraph, 23rd August).

Of course, supporters of the current pro-gay archbishop, Rowan Williams, will criticise this as an attempt to thwart Williams. They think it will further divide Anglicans and cause a schism. To that I say ‘Amen’! Let it be so!

In Virginia, USA, where Lord Carey will visit, they have rejected the ministry of their bishop because of his support for bishop Gene Robinson, the first to declare that he is an active homosexual. They should remove both from office. Whilst I acknowledge that men and women come to homosexuality for a variety of diverse reasons, it remains a gross sin according to scripture. Nothing Williams or pro-gays can do will alter that Biblical fact and the condemnation of it by God.

More than 100 parishes have stopped giving money to their own Anglican funds in protest against the pro-gay moves, and are linking instead with African dioceses (where African bishops openly oppose homosexuality).

So-called ‘reverend’ Richard Kirker of the ‘Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement’ said that the visit was an “insensitive and provocative trip…” He is right, and I sincerely pray that Anglicanism will split over the issue. Kirker is just one sinful canker in the churches, whose blatantly unrepentant lifestyle is an evil blot, to be removed on Judgement Day by our Holy God.

Why?

International scientists have given their approval to build a 25 mile long Linear Accelerator. It will be built to try to mimic the ‘Big Bang’ and so help scientists to research even deeper into the phenomenon. It will cost at least £3 BILLION.

Eh? In other words, this vast sum will be given to study something that has not been proved to have occurred in the first place!! There is no proof that there ever was a ‘Big Bang’, and even if one occurred, it did not create the universe or start the earth on a course of ‘evolution’. So, why?

This kind of wastefulness is rampant throughout science and medicine, where worthless studies cost taxpayers millions or, in this fantastic case, billions. They are worthless, because they oppose scripture and theorise outside of God. Their theories have no scientific backing at all, because no man can prove the Big Bang ever occurred.

Amusingly (???) some scientists claim that the resultant bang created in the accelerator, though made by a particle, could destroy the entire universe, such would be its force. But, others claim it would not happen. Now that’s what I call ‘brinkmanship’!

What a Farce

There is a grim humour in the visit by Jack Straw to Sudan to ‘persuade’ the government to get the terrorists who are murdering their own people to stop. Our Labour taskmasters took us into Iraq with total war, but they are chatting amiably with Sudanese despots who are killing thousands!

No doubt lots of cash will be offered as an incentive. As a Christian I have big trouble reconciling my Christian love with charitable works, whether it is concerned with giving a few coins to a local beggar or giving millions to whole countries.

My problem with giving to these Third World countries is that they are mainly run by governments that fail miserably to provide for their own people. They buy vast quantities of arms and raise armies; they feed their soldiers, who then go out and kill the population. The leaders plan and build huge palaces and live in sheer luxury whilst their people starve to death and suffer rampant illnesses. And then they accept big sums of cash from western charities, which are spent on further luxuries or arms. I can’t accept any of that!

I do not see it a Christian duty to support evil dictatorships or despot governments, even if their people are starving. By giving charity, even directly to the people, we are actively supporting the despots and giving them good reason to carry on with their evils. Why spend on one’s own country when other countries are wasting their incomes on aid? The more we give the greater the problem becomes!

I can’t find a parallel in scripture for giving aid to countries ruled by evil men, or to peoples who reject God. Too many Christians give to causes out of emotionalism, not from true Biblical reasoning. That is why they are misled on so many other issues, too. Emotion is a part of our make-up, but when we allow it to rule our decisions, we make mistakes, some of which will affect many others.

The National Council of Churches in the USA is calling for a ‘Day of Conscience’, but to what purpose? To provide even more cash? Far better to wage actual war against tyrants – but only if the people rise up in response. The world today accommodates despots and tyrants easily, and whole countries lay down to be stamped on. Why is it that we in the west are expected to pick up the tab? Again, I suggest, there is no scriptural precedent for lending support to such countries.

Islamic Thuggery

The true nature of Islam can be seen in the recent abduction of two French reporters in Iraq. The terrorists say they will kill them if France does not recant on stopping Muslim girls from wearing head coverings.

In other words, any issue concerning Islam can result in murder! And all Muslims need do is kill non-Muslims to get their own way and to get countries to change their laws.

Friends, this is exactly how Islam spread in its early days – by putting people to death if they did not submit. This is really what is behind the ‘problem’ between Israel and Palestine – the Palestinians do not want peace, they want the complete genocide of Israeli people. Their whole system is designed for that one single purpose. Their children are taught in state schools to hate Jews with a venom that poisons their own souls, and even the smallest child is taught how to shoot and kill.

Western Islam is a sleeping giant. Beware! (And for all out there who watch for so-called racist remarks – this is not racist. It is about a culture of death and murder lived by many races).

Latest…

And what of the killing of children in their schools in Russia. Supposedly led by a ‘freedom’ group from a Russian province, it contained a high number of Arabs thought to be Islamic terrorists brought in for the sole purpose of slaughter.

As we said above, hard-line Muslims will stop at nothing to get their own way. If moderate Muslims claim they want nothing to do with these men and women, why don’t they make it more plain? It is the duty of all Muslims to hand these people over to the authorities. So, why don’t they?

Muslims who contact me are quick to point to the atrocities wrought on Muslims during the Crusades…and I respond by telling them that this was nothing to do with Christianity, but was the brainchild of ardent Roman Catholics, who are not Christian at all, but are cultists. Really, it doesn’t matter – any cult can justify murder and mayhem to further its own cause. Islam included.
