Intelligent Design Scientists should be unbiased and logical. If they are not, they will produce work that is shoddy, prejudiced and without merit. Mostly, they do work with this in mind. Except when it comes to evolution! Duke University Medical School, in Durham, North Carolina, is furious with the Emmanuel Schools Foundation, and is urging UK schools to resist any attempt to teach Creation. The Foundation wants to open seven Christian academies that will teach Creation science. I don’t know why the Medical School is so upset – after all, schools have taught the myth of evolution for decades, despite protests from Christian parents. Unlike humanist-led schools, these Christian schools will not ram anything down their pupils’ throats – they intend teaching Creation alongside evolution, so that children can make up their own minds. So, what’s wrong with that? Intelligent design is far more obvious and consistent with the facts than evolution! The next proposed Christian school has been threatened with a parents’ protest march…for goodness sake, what’s the big problem? Parents must apply for their kids to join the school, so if they don’t like the idea of God in the classroom, they should simply shut up and not send them. No-one has listened to Christian parents who object to evolution being taught, or to Islam being given precedence in RE classes. Once again, it is the Christian faith that is targeted by the ungodly. A government spokesman says: “schools are expected to encourage pupils to explore different views, theories and beliefs in many curriculum subjects, including science and religious education”. But, Brigid Hogan of North Carolina thinks otherwise. She claims that “Creationism has no place to play in a serious science curriculum.” Is she trying to be funny? What is the teaching of evolution, then? Evolution has no actual proofs for its existence, and no verifiable evidence that it has ever happened, yet it is taught as fact in schools. I know, because I once was a school-teacher. She adds: “Science classes are supposed to teach students how to reason from facts and experiments that can be measured and observed.” Right! Again, I ask why schools and colleges teach evolution as fact, when there is no experiment on earth that can show evolution to be true! Really, Brigid ought to hold to her own dictum! As I have said before, when I attended a Darwin lecture the speaker admitted that there were not enough fossil evidences in support of evolution to cover the floor of a small room!! And even that evidence can be disputed strongly. There is nothing wrong with stating a view that has no proof so long as it is called a view, or an opinion. In that way it can be separated from actual proven facts. Creationist scientists cannot ever prove that God made everything, simply because they cannot put God in an experiment, and I know of no way that the entire universe can be put into a test lab. On the other hand, evolutionists cannot prove their case either, with or without experiments…and how do they watch evolution occurring in a test tube and see animals, for example, mutate into altogether different species? There is no chance of that! So what’s the hassle? I’ve got no problem with evolutionists stating their beliefs (which is what they really are, for they are not science) as opinions, or with Creationists doing the same. I think that evolutionists are showing the cracks in their beliefs when they insist on silencing another set of beliefs. If the only way a theory can be upheld is to eliminate all other views, then it shows that the theory has nothing much to offer. It is also a fascist approach by thought police. In the past I attempted to get any evolutionist to argue his or her case on one topic, against a Creationist scientist, ad nauseum, until the particular topic had been exhausted, and for the results to be published. But, they backed down. I wonder why? They are very good at shouting the odds for brief spells, but they dare not argue their case to completion, because they know they have no real case to offer! Personally, I see more evidence for intelligent design than for random evolution. As Creationists have shown, it is impossible for evolution to have taken place (that is, one species changing into a completely different one). The changes that would need to take place, all at once, both macro and molecular, are just too many and too complex for it to happen at all. To put it very simply, a fish could never have crawled onto the sea-shore to finally become a human being, because it would have died within minutes!! Evolutionists need to get real. Just One Makes a Difference! Evolutionist scientists continually bombard us with claims that animals and humans are all the same. They point to the similarity between brains and brain cells and say that humans and animals are all from the same stock. It is true that chimps have almost all the same cells as we do. But, crucially, they do not have them all. Only ‘almost’. Now, a scientist at the California Institute of Technology at Pasadena, John Allman, believes he has identified the single cell that makes humans special. (Source: New Scientist, 19th June). His work is described as very ‘low tech’, because he chooses to count cells ‘by hand’ instead of by highly developed machines. Yet, his countless hours of meticulous examination seem to have paid off, with the discovery of ‘spindle’ cells. The ‘down’ side is that despite observing cells at close quarters and their myriad wonders, spindle cells are thought to have ‘evolved recently’. How sad that scientists still persist in talking about cells evolving, when they cannot even describe the mechanism by which such an impossibility can occur! Apparently, these assist us to love, empathise, feel guilt and embarrassment, and to detect deception and understand cooperation. Spindle cells were found about 100 years ago, but until now no-one has taken much notice of them. Then, in the 1990’s, when researching cells in the context of Alzheimers, scientists at Mount Sinai Medical Centre in New York, found that people who had died of Alzheimers had only a quarter of the usual number of spindle cells, and this fact triggered much interest. (As we have noted before, in their arrogance, scientists say that certain cells and organs are just ‘vestigial’ with no real purpose. Inevitably, over time, they find that they are wrong). Whilst a limited number of primates share spindle cells with us, humans have tens of thousands, whilst primates have, relatively, a mere handful…but the difference is enough to make humans…humans. Evolutionists will continue to see the differences as steps in evolution – a limited number of primates have the cells but fewer, so this ‘proves’ that they are very much the same as us, but simply a bit farther back in their stage of evolution. All it proves to me is that God, in His wisdom and economy, made all things from the same substances, providing vital differences to separate them all, each being part of their own species, not to be crossed. Hopefully, new ways to combat Alzheimers will arise from this research – we can forget anything said about evolution, because it means nothing. The Arrogance of Heretics My advice to Christians remains the same as when I warned against attending TB meetings…to attend charismatic churches of whatever hue, is to invite danger into one’s own heart. We are warned that we cannot have any link with darkness – and that includes those who prefer charismatic error to truth. Watch who your friends are. We can often get caught up in the complex details of error, so let me give a bare outline of why we must not bother with (true) charismaticism… Galatians chapter one tell us that those who preach another gospel do not really preach a gospel at all, but a lie. Those who preach it are ‘accursed’ or anathema. This is a very strong term used by Paul and yet it applies to charismatic preachers who insist on their false Arminian ‘gospel’ (which is counted as ‘no gospel’ by Paul). What is the true Gospel? It is that God chose who would be saved from before the world began. That is, in eternity. We are told that what God determines cannot ever be changed. Thus, those who are saved have been chosen before time began, and their fate cannot be altered. Charismaticism teaches that men can devise strategies to draw men to the Gospel and then persuade them – by using strategies – to be saved. That is, men can hear what is said and decide for themselves whether or not to be saved. They choose Christ. But this is not true! If God chooses who will be saved before time began (that is what scripture says), then no amount of interesting persuasion will make a difference, for God has already chosen who will be saved! Those who are predestinated to salvation will respond to the preaching of the Gospel. There is no way that they can be stopped or put off that response, because they have already been chosen by God. They respond not because of their own choices, but because their eyes have been opened; they have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, so that they can respond. Until God does this, they are unable to respond, for they are ‘dead in sins’! Thus, all the clever ideas and campaigns, all the youth plans and groups, all the false gifts and loud music and recreational activities, only serve to produce emotional responses, not true responses! This explains the huge fall-away rate within charismatic circles (as researched by their own kind). I can guarantee that a charismatic devotee, separated from his fellow charismatics and subjected to genuine teaching, would not be able to sustain his position! This is because, once he has faced a Christian who is not emotion-led or force-fed with charismaticism, he cannot keep up his false position. Scripture does not allow for heresy to keep the high ground! Many I have known who turned to charismaticism were thoroughly nice folk. The pastor who recently attempted to get me to meet with him (reported in the Beacon), is of this kind – a nice guy whom I liked as a man. But, his charismatic error prevents me from ever meeting with him. He is a heretic, excommunicated from the true Church, because he teaches what Galatians refers to as a false gospel. He is, then, anathema. On top of that, charismaticism, has redefined the spiritual gifts and fruit, with scant regard for scripture. The obvious one is their definition of tongues, when 99.9% of all texts define them as foreign languages, they concentrate on just ONE verse that maybe suggests another meaning…but even that can be explained Biblically (ask for the article)!! The same goes for many other ‘gifts’. Also, charismatics play-down the horrendous sexual and other antics of their own kind when the Toronto Blessing hit town. I have heard and seen them and easily categorise them as Satanic, for that is what they are. As part of my research programme, I read many papers written by the early church, including the reports written by Romanists. There I see descriptions of charismatic activities, even in those far off days. And, back then, the Church fathers (and even the cultic Romanists) had no doubt that such activities were heretical! The same heresies and activities continue today, so nothing has changed. For some years I have described charismatics as being ‘happy-clappies’ with glazed eyes. By this I mean they shut out everything of sense and concentrate only on emotion and false teaching. They MUST have glazed eyes and must clap, because without these outward emotional outbursts they have nothing. They cannot survive without them. It is significant that charismatics from various parts of the world, including folk who are simple to those who have high academic honours, have read our website material, and have admitted that they were wrong and we are right. Since they have cast aside their charismaticism they have discovered genuine freedom in Christ and genuine Biblical faith. We are right only because what we say is what God says…none of it is our own dogma. I do not intend fighting charismatics or debating them. They are wrong. End of story! Scripture finds them out and they haven’t got a leg to stand on. Sadly, even those who fight me right now will one day end up devastated, when they suddenly realise that the false faith they have followed is worthless heresy. God help them all. I often ask a direct question; “How many errors can we tolerate?” My answer is always the same – none! God does not give us leeway to accept error of any kind, big or small. Why, then, do Christians insist on giving leeway to charismatics and Romanists, whose errors are legion? Misreporting Calvin It is a pity that more people do not read Calvin’s works and reports about him from Protestant sources. This is because popularised versions of what happened in his life have been badly interpreted, usually from a Romanist perspective. My own readings, from a variety of early church writers, show a Calvin whose heart was true and loving, despite some mistakes he made at times (mistakes anyone in authority can make). In my PhD dissertation I referred to the Catholic report of his refusing to visit the plague hospital in Geneva (1542-3). But if you read Protestant records the truth is very different. A chaplain (Pierre Blanchet) had been appointed, from ministers who actually volunteered to go to the hospital to see to the dying, in 1542. The plague diminished and stopped. Then, the following year, it started up again, and a minister named Castellion offered his services. A short while later, Blanchet replaced him. The church and city councils refused to allow Calvin to go, because of his vital position in Geneva and to the churches. As Doumergue wrote, a general is not placed in the front of the battle – but he knew that Calvin would have done his duty if he had been called. In October 1542, Calvin wrote to Viret, just when the plague was starting: “If anything happens (to Blanchet (who, remember, volunteered), I fear that after him it will be my turn to run the risk…” Now, that is where Romanist writers stop the statement, for it suits them to say that he refused to visit the hospital. They do not continue with the letter, which says, after that last phrase: “…We cannot fail those who need our ministry more than others…As long as we are in this charge, I do not see how we could excuse ourselves if, through fear of danger, we deprive of help those who need it most.” The Roman view is that Calvin took charge of Geneva for quite personal reasons. This is also untrue. Though in high local governmental position he was usually in poverty, but never sought riches or fine inducements. At one time the Council noted how threadbare his coat was, and so they voted to buy a length of cloth for a new coat to be made. There are many other things that Catholic historians got wrong, often deliberately. Though I do not call myself a Calvinist, I would have been honoured to have known him. His errors were those of a human being under immense pressure from all sides at a time of political and religious turmoil. If my own errors are as few as his, I will be happy!! Predictions Come True We, along with others, have predicted the end of our sovereignty via the Labour Party and the EU. Robert Kilroy-Silk, as a newly elected MEP, said “(British Prime Minister Tony Blair)’s waving a piece of paper saying ‘It’s okay, I’ve only given away a little bit of our sovereignty.’ When, in fact, this is the beginning of the end of Britain as a nation-state governing itself.” 25 countries have argued and come to a decision concerning an EU constitution, the culmination of decades of lies and deception by governments about the true nature of the so-called ‘common-market’. There is to be an EU president who will be, effectively, the ruler of the UK and all other EU countries. The EU will become a rival to the USA in trade and power. Supposedly we will get to vote whether or not to accept this deal – but can you see any government backing away from it, even if the people say no? The Daily Telegraph reports that the Constitution is based on an outdated economic system that is already on the verge of collapse, and so sees it as one of Blair’s greatest blunders. It doesn’t really make a difference, because no matter how many blunders a man makes in government he is always assured a comfortable living later as an MEP or some high-up EU official, bleeding our taxes with inflated expense accounts! The Asylum Saga The stunning arrogance of our government amazes me. Because we have a backlog of asylum cases, it has cost the British taxpayer £500 million so far!! Bearing in mind that most cases are found to be bogus, the sums are spent on supporting these criminals who abuse our system. (Source: National Audit Office report in the Daily Mail). There were 120,000 undecided cases in late 1999. Though the number has now decreased to 20,000, it is only because a substantial number of new workers have been employed to deal with them, so not only do we have to pay their wages (which are no doubt hefty) we also continue to pay for our bogus friends! Two years ago the government spent a further £200 million employing deportation officials, but that achieved nothing, because the officials only received bare training! (What a surprise). The Audit folk tell us it costs £7,690 a year to maintain an asylum seeker. A shock part of the report states that more than 400 colleges and language schools in the UK may be fakes, set up to help illegal immigrants enter Britain as ‘students’!! From my own lecturing days I know that colleges ‘manipulate’ figures to get government money, and bolster flimsy courses with needless extra classes on useless topics, just to get cash from employers. 100 colleges have already been investigated, and another 300 are still being looked at – tens of thousands of illegal immigrants have obtained fraudulent visas after buying places on non-existent courses. By enrolling and having ‘college’ papers, they are then able to have genuine visas. The scale of this kind of fraud is astounding. It’s about time that the number of immigrants was substantially reduced, if not stopped altogether, until a better system of investigation into applicants can be introduced, preferably before they even reach the UK. No wonder folk are angry at asylum seekers. Gay Pride The Gay Pride march used to be classed as a ‘demonstration’. Sadly, it has now been reclassified as a ‘parade’. This lifts close police observation and allows it to become a ‘normal’ activity. The reason? London’s tourist chiefs see it as a tourist asset, proving the statement that money is the root of all evil!! Much worse, police officers who are gay can now march in the parade with impunity. I have written to a variety of police chiefs complaining about this…will you? For me, it shows that gay police are not as free of prejudice as they claim to be. Instead, they are aligning with homosexuality and its pressure groups – even though some in the ‘parade’ display a leaning toward what is gross and very unnatural. Christians cannot expect a return to God’s laws on this issue in the current climate, but we can try to get all pro-homosexual laws repealed, as being without proper use and even as being anti-heterosexuality. ‘Gays’ use the term ‘homophobia’ constantly, and it is this usage that has helped to produce a pseudo-acceptance of homosexuality (‘pseudo’ because the level of acceptance is inflated by gays, and is illusory). It is about time that we began to spread use of the term ‘heterophobia’, to mean fear of normality by homosexuals! Above all, we must refer to it as God does – blatant sin. Never give in to popular agendas. Did You Know…..? Did you know that the ‘Five Points of Calvinism’ were never written by Calvin? The ‘Five Points’ are familiar to just about all Calvinists, but few know that they were written after his death by Calvinists who wanted to refute the five points of Arminius (which form the beliefs known as Arminianism)! For more details see our Article ‘The Five Points of Arminius’. And did you know that charismaticism has existed for a very long time and has been rebuked as such since at least New Testament days? Witness the plea by Simon the magician to obtain the gifts of the Apostles? No different to the way charismatics today seek false gifts and tongues. Charismatic behaviour is also rebuked throughout Church history. Its acceptance today is, then, a sign of the sin of churches in allowing the movement to affect Christians everywhere. And if churches cannot be bothered to rebuke heresy, why should God help them? Good Stuff! About time, too! The US Senate agreed in June to fine TV and radio broadcasters as much as $3 million a day for issuing programmes that were racy, showed nudity, etc., because the public are fed up with it all. Good for them! Britain has a long way to go before it reaches such a mature decision. Meanwhile, not all is well in the USA…The new Presbyterian Moderator (to be in office for two years) allows homosexuals into the ministry. This will devastate the denomination, because God will make sure of it. Nigerian Muslims Show the Way… …for Islamic violence, that is! Since Nigeria became a democracy in 1999, more than 10,000 people have been killed in ethnic or religious violence. This is typical of anywhere in the world that becomes strictly Muslim. Thousands have been forced to flee their homes and in parts of the country where strict Islam has been enforced there has been continuous Muslim violence toward Christians. Yet, Muslims insist that Islam is peaceful! Yea, my foot! Meanwhile, Back in Iraq… Arms inspectors have discovered that components that build weapons and long-range missiles have been found leaving Iraq as scrap metal! Parts have been found in scrap yards in Holland and Jordan. The head of the team states that this is just the tip of a huge iceberg…and what if these get into the hands of terrorists (which no doubt will happen)? Thousands of tons of scrap metal are sent out of Iraq daily, so who knows how much is weapon material? But, there are always fools around who can explain things away, like those who say chemicals found under army camouflage are for agricultural use! Some folk will never learn.
