Hinn’s Star Guest!

 You may remember the shocking news that charismatics claim that Jesus Christ and angels will appear in physical form in their meetings.

Benny Hinn made an even more specific claim, saying that Jesus will appear at his side at his next campaign! Hinn consorts with demons and so this claim should not be taken lightly.

Will Jesus appear with Hinn? No, of course He won’t! But, I have no doubt that something will appear with him. That something will be demonic and may be the ‘lord Maitreya’ so vaunted in recent years. This apparition has already appeared in various parts of the world, so I have no doubt that unsaved Hinn, one of the world’s most influential spiritists, will enjoy his company very soon.

Where did this claim originate from? It came from the woman who brought us gold teeth and gold dust manifestations, Ruth Heflin, who says God spoke directly to her about it. This deluded occultist told Hinn that Jesus would come alongside him soon. (Source: CrossDaily.com).

Early last year Hinn ‘prophesied’ that Iran would fall soon (source:FreeRepublic.com)…but how soon is ‘soon’??? It certainly hasn’t happened yet! But, folk will just ignore this failure, as they do all the others.

So, expect to actually see this false ‘Christ’ on stage with Hinn. Expect many to follow him. Christ will not come again until the end of time, when He will depose and destroy false prophets, including Hinn. We can expect spectacular events to occur soon, and most will come from the charismatic circus arena. Don’t be fooled!

It’s Depressing

I am saddened by the countless Christians who claim that depression is a normal part of life and that it is equal to a physical illness. They may also claim near-beatification for psychiatrists and psychiatry. This article has been written following a number of emails from a Christian who believes depression is as ‘acceptable’ as a physical illness.

Many who suffer this condition join ‘self-help’ groups who, really, merely perpetuate the idea that depression in Christians must be accepted. They say that they need support not condemnation, especially when they go downhill and are struck down for sometimes months on end. I find this really depressing!

One of the biggest problems  - with respect for those who think they know the truth - is that Christians are brainwashed by over a century of conditioning, which says mental illness exists and is equal to physical illness, and therefore requiring medical intervention, or, at the very least, some kind of psychological therapy.

There are depressions that have physical causes. The dementias are an example. So is acute rheumatoid arthritis, ME, most cancers, and so on. But, relatively speaking, these are very rare and they are NOT ‘psychological’ illnesses; they are the result of chemical imbalances.

The majority (almost all) other depressions have a cause that is not physical and they are not ‘illnesses’. Nothing in medicine or scripture can support such a definition. Those with perpetual depression are, really, ‘career emotionalists’.

There are conditions of soul referred to as ‘spiritual depression’, a term I would prefer not to use because it is misleading. ‘Spiritual’ depression and clinical depression are not the same. Job and Bunyan had ‘spiritual depressions’, not clinical depressions. I would suggest that the allusions to such folk as having clinical depression is an attempt to justify a condition that has no illness attached to it.

A ‘spiritual depression’ is a spiritual test, not an illness. God sends the test to make us stronger and more acutely aware of our position in Christ. Clinical depression (so-called) does the opposite. It makes people rest in their condition rather than seek the way out. It is a condition that is erroneously acquired and given misplaced sympathy of a medical kind, making the sufferer a ‘patient’. Such a person will often spend many months or longer out of work and in the depths of despair. The whole condition is based on anxiety and fear, both of which are sins in the language of scripture.

Everybody, without exception, suffers a temporary depression at times, usually brought on by a sudden death, illness or some other trauma. But, God will bring us back fairly quickly from this and the depression is clearly a reaction to an outside stimuli. This is normal because we are human beings who can fail. (Again, though, ‘depression’ is a wrong word).

There are, then, times when ‘depression’ is allowable – but I would expect Christian friends and pastors to assist in stabilising the depressed person with the express intent of bringing him or her back to full emotional health.

But permanent depression? No, this is not acceptable (apart from depressions caused by physical factors). It is not acceptable because it is sin. I mean sin in its widest sense…a condition that is separate from God’s will, because the person has learned how to respond badly to this or that situation in the past.

Each time he or she succumbs, the temptation to fail becomes stronger – it is basically a spiritual problem, with an emotional backlash. This may take many years to develop, and that is why so many of us miss the vital signs of a deteriorating condition of soul. Eventually, bolstered by claims of the medical world and misinformed friends, the person accepts depression as normal and as his or her lot in life. Thus, to them, God is ‘ineffective’!

Another factor, often not acknowledged, is that depression is used, very subtly, as a convenient let-out. By hiding away in dark rooms, stopping talking and becoming silent, one can let go of responsibility and avoid life’s challenges at any time – the more you do it the easier it gets! I have heard most depressives claim that they want a ‘cure’ – but few actually want to be rid of their malady. Without it, they would have to face reality, and that is hard to do.

David had much to get depressed about and he knew dark times. We see this in his Psalms. But, he never remained in the dark for long, for praising God gave him wings!

Saul on the other hand had a depression sent to him by God as a punishment. His was caused by a demon…and I have seen some of these…as a direct result of what seems to us to be a minor failure to comply with God’s wishes.

When depression begins in one who is used to it, the person will often start to cut off from reality and from others. Darkened rooms are the preference and so on. Thus, the sufferer chooses to be in the environment that encourages the depression. As soon as the depressive episode starts, the person must take steps to stop it, by choosing not to enter into an environment that encourages it. 

People are part of the cure, not hiding away. Walks are better than staying in bed. Light, rain, sun, are better than a darkened room. Looking for what is happy and joyful is better than allowing one’s self to go downward in a spiral of misery. And scripture, no matter how distant seem the apparent benefits, must take precedence…not just sections dealing with failure, but the whole of God’s word. And so on.

A man chooses to enter a darkened room. He chooses to lay in bed all day. He chooses to become dormant. He chooses to become more depressed. He chooses to be angry. I am usually hated for saying all this, but it is true.

In the past I have known very brief episodes of misery, but I never allowed them to take hold, with God’s grace. I have known periods of misery as the result of hatred from others, and other trauma, but they have all been brief. I have never looked upon depression as a career or as normal for me as a Christian, because I know anxiety is sin.

Jesus Christ was a ‘man of sorrows’, but this must not be equated with clinical depression or even reactive (neurotic) depression, because otherwise we make Him sinful. His sorrow was well-placed and in its place, and He continued to function.

We do not read that Christ suffered depression or that He stayed in bed with it, or displayed the usual signs of a ‘clinical’ condition. His agony was very real. He knew that He would soon know silence from the Father and the absolute horror of having every sin in the world on His shoulders, leading to His death. We dare not make ourselves equal to this suffering!

Clinical depression is, really, a self- indulgence. It grows year on year until it consumes the person. I cannot see this as part of God’s promise for our lives. It is, rather, a faulty response to life and to our own inward failings and desires. It is a spiritual & personality defect, not an illness.

If clinical depression actually existed as a medical condition, then we would have every reason to despair. Some despair so much they are driven to suicide – another sin, proving that it is not God’s will! But we have a Saviour Who took away the penalty for our sins. He shows us a way that is far better than despair. If we choose to ignore that, then we only have ourselves to blame.

Those who have these depressions should be treated kindly as ‘weaker’ brethren, as Paul says in First Corinthians. However, this does NOT mean we must condone depression or give it sympathy. The condition must be vigorously dealt with, in love but with firmness. The habit must be broken and it must never be accepted or encouraged. Do not condemn the person or criticise him – just be honest and give assurance.

Unfortunately even Christians get all this wrong, as they follow the ideas of the world, medication, and medical theories. In all this, God comes a poor second, despite claims to the contrary.

(I do not wish to receive counter-arguments to this article, friends…I am sure of my ground. As I finished this article I looked at my emails and found a long response from the man I mentioned at the beginning. He apologised for his attitude and then went on to describe the very set of conditions I have just given to you as the cause of clinical depression, plus an acknowledgement that his scriptural reasoning was warped by his depression, Later, though, he went back to hiding behind his ‘condition’).

Asylum Seekers

Strange, eh? The government is now thinking along lines we suggested two years ago!! That is, if asylum seekers are demonstrably false (as most of them are), then they must be returned to their countries straight away.

If they do not claim asylum on arrival, then they are illegal and therefore criminals, and must be sent away immediately, with no appeal.

If their claims have to be checked, this should be done within a month at the most, whilst they are kept locked up in detention centres (or on prison ships as the Tories suggest) and only given basic food and shelter.

The result otherwise will be a massive collection of criminals and terrorists in the UK and a continuing drain on our resources when we can ill-afford it. It also means harbouring known killers and those who hate God. Read your newspapers and see if I am telling the truth.

The Ricin terrorists were not alone. Since being caught, and the London mosque invasion by police, much evidence has emerged linking false asylum seekers with state funds and terrorism. There are thought to be at least 3000 Algerian terrorists in the UK, ‘sleepers’ (remember we warned of this, too?) who will arise one day to do their slaughter, helped by a ridiculous asylum system that our European partners have abandoned!

The UK is fast disappearing as its own country, being taken over by foreign gods who arrive with the people. Laws will swiftly follow to abandon Christian heritage in any form, in favour of freedom for false gods. We have warned for many years, and we will continue to warn. But, sadly, Christians will do very little. Instead, many will form cosy little Friday night groups, to welcome false asylum seekers whose task it is to impose Allah on everyone at pain of death, and to terrorise and kill the very ones who give them their cup of tea and buttered bun!

Asylum Seekers in Danger?

The government pays Loss Prevention International to escort deportees back to their own countries. The head of the company reports that not one of the false asylum seekers were in any danger, and they all simply got back on to their own streets within minutes of landing at the airports! Indeed, the authorities of the so-called ‘dangerous’ countries did not care less and took no notice of their arrival.

This directly contradicts the arguments made by do-gooders who cite the EC Convention of Human Rights in their foolish attempts to stop deportations. Remember – over 90% of asylum seekers are liars, cheats and frauds. They are therefore criminals, unworthy of receiving any kind of help, not even food and shelter. This is particularly the case for those who are terrorists and organised crime bosses.

It seems that to be genuine, a Christian must be stupid, believing everyone who claims they are in need or in danger. Sorry, but I’m far from stupid! I’ll help anyone who is genuine – but I don’t suspend my faculty of reasoning to do so.

There was an outcry and a charge of racism against the government recently, because it is refusing visa applications from Jamaica. But the reasons for the refusals are not so well-known…

18 illegal immigrants (3000 a year) are deported back to Jamaica every single day on BA airplanes, accompanied by 3 plain-clothed officials. Every airline is supposed to hold seats for deported illegals, but most do not, for fear of upsetting ordinary passengers. And I don’t blame them!

So, that is why the government is coming down hard on Jamaica. This has been made even more important since the rise of the Yardies, vicious criminals toting guns and murdering as they go.

We also have hardened gangs, acknowledged to be more murderous than UK gangs, from the old Communist bloc countries, as well as from Japan, Africa and other countries. Some Christians I know are thinking of moving to New Zealand because of all this, and I don’t blame them.

Meanwhile, Tony Blair is threatening to get rid of the EC rules that force us to take immigrants even if they are illegal. Naturally, liberal socialists (excuse the pun) oppose this, for reasons I cannot really fathom in the light of terrorist activities.

Hundreds, if not thousands, of illegals in the UK are terrorists. They are plotting mayhem and murder next door to you. They sit on ‘planes next to you. They are ready to blow you up at any time. This is hard fact, not scare-mongering. Remember – the UK is actually funding an ex-Taliban killer to stay in the UK! 1200 of his killer-friends are known to have gone into hiding in the UK. Meanwhile, Saddam Hussein holds up his blood-stained hands in mock horror, pretending not to have the capability to blow us all to smithereens…it’s just a matter of time.

As we speak, thousands of illegal immigrants are massing on the shoreline of France, hoping to get on lorries or boats to the UK. Significantly, most of them are from Afghanistan and Iraq. How many are terrorists? They are certainly false asylum seekers and, as we have pointed out, they are therefore criminals who will have no problem living illegally in Britain at our expense. These people are far from the usual ports, so they could come from almost anywhere along the coast.

To quote a journalist writing in the Daily Mail (27^th January): “When a civilisation has lost the stomach to fight for its existence, and views self-defence as aggression, it has signed its own death warrant”. This is so true. As a nurse in a violent ward I learned one thing the hard way – to show fear or to back down in the face of threats or violence, was the quick road to being maimed or killed. I loathe violence, but I don’t believe in just laying down and bearing my throat to those who wish to kill me.

Amidst this chaos, David Blunkett has ordered UK doctors to give all asylum seekers (most of whom are illegal remember) unlimited medical help whenever they want it…something that UK citizens cannot get.

And guess where the sudden rise in TB cases has come from, when the disease had been almost eradicated from the country for many decades?? Yes, you’ve guessed it.

A source in the health sector told me that airports used to have a TB screening centre which every Asian had to be tested at on arrival. They could not be released until the results were known. If they needed treatment it was arranged immediately.

But, with such a sharp increase in false immigrants, and the breakdown of the screening machines, this vital barrier against disease was lost and TB has now spread across Britain. My source tells me she had the task of visiting every immigrant in her area to see if they had presented themselves at health centres. Whenever she arrived at the house, she was met not by one person, but by a whole family or more, with no papers and no intention of visiting hospitals or doctors to treat their TB. And, often, the original person she went to see had mysteriously disappeared!

More Strikes

Well, it looks like there will be more firemen’s strikes. I must be one of the few to oppose their actions. Yes, they save lives…but so do nurses, policemen, and others; yes, they have to face danger…but so do nurses and others; yes, they could die…but, as many nurses die at the hands of dangerous people, as do firemen in fires.

The truth is, apart from the promotion structure, most firemen join the fire service because of the hint of danger! They think it is a ‘macho’ kind of job. And they wouldn’t join if they didn’t want the danger. I have this from firemen I know.

And, of course, they spend a lot of time away from fires, with plenty of free time spent in the games’ room, gym and TV room. So their pleas based on danger and saving lives fall flat on my ears.

As a nurse on his own in a ward full of ‘mentally deranged’ killers I had no choice but to live dangerously, often being injured at their hands, and close to being murdered on at least one occasion. I did not claim to be brave, nor did I try to get more money on the back of the danger. Nor do I now try to get a pay hike because I save lives, literally.

If I did not do my job, at high personal risk - not just on a daily, but on a moment-by-moment, basis, those killers could have escaped into the community. But, by physically restraining them and receiving injuries myself in the process, the public were protected. All I ever got out of my time in that job was a severe illness caused by my injuries and loss of my job and income!

It is time that the firemen stopped this emotional blackmail and got back to their jobs, for which they receive well over the national average. Unlike firemen who save lives occasionally, my daily portion is to make decisions that will save a life, and this is mixed with emergencies where heart attacks and other conditions can easily take lives if we did not give medical intervention.

For my work, with thirty years experience, I receive well under what the newly trained fireman earns – and my working day is 13 hours long, each hour packed with hard graft. No games, no TV and no gym!  Nor do I expect any.

Firemen are not being honest. They are quoting their basic rate, not their true pay! On top of their basic, they get allowances, pay increments, etc (at night they mainly sleep though getting paid for being on duty), and other incentives.

As a Christian I must give of my very best no matter what I get paid. I will not argue about my pay because I went into the job knowing what it would be, even though it is comparatively low. So, buck up firemen, and stop whingeing!!

At least picketing firemen had their uses recently – a lorry driver who had just come off the ferry from Europe stopped to ask striking firemen directions in Hove, Sussex. One fireman noticed a face peering at them through a small slit in the tarpaulin covering the goods.

His colleagues surrounded the lorry, took away the tarpaulin, and found a group of illegal immigrants! They stood guard until police came. If all firemen did this when on strike, they’d be doing us all a favour!

Paedophiles

Observers report a big increase in paedophiles, and blame it on internet availability of pornography. I tend to agree with that.

My superior said she was looking for nursing material on the internet and tapped just one button inadvertently. Immediately a page containing child porn came on screen, which she quickly got rid of.

Others, knowing it is easy to sit at home and tap a few buttons, will enter these obnoxious sites without anyone knowing. Many men and women were put off buying porn magazines openly in shops, but this prevented so many from only thinking evil to actually doing it.

There are laws that spring into action if people are known to have child porn on their computers. This begs a very simple question – why, then, is it not illegal to have child porn sites? And if it is illegal, why do they exist? Why do companies that host these sites accept them as customers?

If every such site was refused hosting, and if others created their own servers to host them were closed down by police, the internet problem would disappear.

Government Perversion!

Linked with this…our government thinks it is a good idea to revamp the laws on sex by allowing homosexuals to indulge their perverted pleasures in a public toilet, so long as the door of the cubicle is shut!! The list of appalling laws is growing! It does not take a big brain to realise that homosexuals will commandeer public toilets, fully protected by the law. This is truly disgusting thinking!

Evolution Myth by Bribery…

It seems that some Christian colleges are accepting large cash ‘bribes’ (called ‘awards’) to teach evolution as fact! Awards have been given to Oxford University, too. (Source: answeringenesis.org).  This tells me that the giver of the ‘awards’ is unable to sustain a proper argument and is willing to push evolution at any cost, literally.

It is a fact that many Christians do not understand the importance of teaching creation, or of opposing evolution. James Waddell of BTM openly challenged a professor of geology at his university, in the college newsletter…that takes great courage. How many will do that?

Romans 1:20

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, (even) his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

Remember this and mark it well. Those who push or believe evolution do so because they hate the idea of God. Don’t ever give them credence!
