Beyond
Reformation

For years I have pondered on the nature of this ministry. I have shied away from calling our work ‘reformed’. As most of you know, I prefer to say we are ‘reforming’. The difference is profound and affects everything we do.

The Reformation, important in its own way, was only the start, not the end. Sadly, many Christians who are ‘Reformed’ tend to put all their eggs into Calvin’s basket and stick rigidly to being ‘Reformed’. But, what does this really mean?

In essence the Reformation was a revolt by Catholics within their own false-church. It was mainly a protest against excesses and bad teaching. This led to the actual salvation of many, but, even so, the Reformation was only half a job.

This is because it started something it could not finish. Almost within a century, what started as a revolt settled into a partisan grouping of Christians, some of whom returned to the Roman fold. Those who remained faithful to scripture nevertheless still tended to retain their Romanist roots or practices in some form or other. The new ‘Church of England’ also settled back into a gel of semi-Romanists, saved people - but with chunks of Rome still embedded in their souls.

This is why we say, loud and clear, that we are reforming and not simply reformed. To be Reformed today is to be defensive. The task of this ministry is far wider – it is to go beyond Reformation and to continue reforming against all the foes who form a battle line against true faith.

And then, we go beyond even that! This is why we are mainly shunned by mainline churches and leaders. What are we standing for, if we go beyond ‘continually reforming’? We stop defending and go on the offensive!

We are no longer content with having our backs to the wall and opposing heresy in Rome. We wish to go out there and proclaim the Gospel as the truth, regardless of what the Whore thinks or does. We will teach the truth whether this offends Romanist or Protestant! That is our true mission in this world and we will carry its banner high.

What has happened in the past is that post-Reformers gathered in huddles, fearing Rome or fighting against it. Even this activity gave Rome credibility. Today we need to simply ignore Rome as a touchstone. We must preach as believers, not just as Protestants! We must teach scripture as it is written, not as other men (including Calvin) think.

In doing this we call ourselves…what? Nothing! We are just Christians! It is time that we left the title ‘Reformed’ behind us. It belongs to a past age, a time when Rome was given great prominence. Now, Rome is trying to gain its prominence once again – but it is also a time when we must build upon the grand work of the Reformers. If we do not, then their work was in vain. We have lain idle for far too long. Christians must now stand and be counted, AS CHRISTIANS. No other title is needed. No denomination. No hankering back to yesteryear.

We must use what we have been handed – the Reformation was simply a baton, to be passed on to the next runner, and passed on again until the race is won. Part of that race was to oppose what was rotten and false, but most saw it as an end in itself. The baton was not passed on, so please – pass on the baton and proclaim Christ as taught in scripture alone. Win the race at last against all odds.

Scripture says that we are fast approaching a time of immense apostasy, led by Rome and its motley hordes of heathen. This must not deter us. Though very small in number, we must stand and wave the banner of Jesus Christ, not in defiance of those heathen, but as a front line offensive, pushing onward through their massed ranks to reach our goal.

This is radical, but only as radical as Christ has taught us to be. He did not teach us to have ‘dialogue’ with anyone. He taught us to run fast and to battle hard, and to shout His cause without reference to anyone else. Can you do this? Will you do it? Do you have the stomach for the battle? Can you see this vision for yourself? Or will you just sit back in relative comfort, at conferences, seminars and well-established Reformed gatherings?

To Reformed teachers and preachers we send out a clarion call – stop imitating what is imperfect and flawed – instead, fight on for what is perfect and without price. Do not be content with half a job! Go for the whole thing!

If you think you are reading is “a load of waffle”, then you have not understood anything I have ever said. But if you have caught the vision, you will know that what I am saying is right. Join us in pushing onward and don’t get caught slumbering!

True Christian Tolerance

As you know, it is a fact that as editor of this newsletter and as founder of the BTM ministry, I am regularly charged with being ‘intolerant’, ‘harsh’ and ‘unloving’. These charges no longer bother me but, at the start, I was extremely anxious about them, as they drove me to examine my motives, etc.

At the time I was pulled this way and that by every charge made, but today, after having probably the most examined heart in the West, I am anchored in what I know to be true and the charges roll off me.

You might say that I am self-deluded. I would reply that you would have to speak to those in our church and those who have had intimate contact with me. They will tell you if I am ‘intolerant’, ‘harsh’ and ‘unloving’, or even ‘deluded’.

They will do so because I have taught them to speak openly and frankly. They will stop me part-way through a Bible study and ask questions or make comments – something I encourage, because this is how Jesus would have done it.

I often think that ‘intolerance’ is a charge brought by those who are themselves intolerant of truth. Some are intolerant not of truth itself, but of change, or perhaps of others doing something they dislike. This is where anyone who knows me will tell you that I am far from intolerant.

The truth remains, no matter what. There are Christians who wish so much for every other Christian to learn and practice the truth, that they become intolerant of their failings. Yes, we can all fail and sin, sometimes deliberately so. But that does not mean we must batter people over the head if they don’t comply with the truth!

There are times when Christians are acting so badly or publicly that there is no option but to disfellowship them. But even then we ought not be intolerant. Our intolerance must be strictly reserved for those things God Himself is intolerant of. Once we become intolerant for our own sakes, we are losing the battle against our own sinful hearts!

I cannot count the number of Christians who have shot me down in flames, or even shunned me, because they believe this or that, but I have a different view because either the Holy Spirit has not shown me it yet, or I genuinely have come to conclusions of my own after much study. Love flies out of the window when that happens, and the money in the slot-machine of ‘Christian concern’ others should have for us, runs out suddenly!

It is true that I am firm and resolute in my words. These words can sometimes be ‘hard’, but I reject totally that they are ‘harsh’. Scripture contains many hard sayings, but these are necessary. They don’t mean God does not love His people. It just means that they have to be ‘told off’ and corrected at times. Sadly, Christians can be less than charitable, causing much heartache to those who they believe are far more sinful than they are.

It is my stance to follow the line of Paul in matters of discipline and teaching. He was much firmer and harder than I will ever be. Yet, his letters are packed with love for fellow believers. His first letter to the Corinthians is an excellent example of this dual-approach. He roundly castigates them for their many sins, some of which are quite bad, yet he refers to them as his brethren. He encourages them to change though he completely shuns their sins.

We all sin and we all need forgiveness and tolerance from our brethren. Not for our sins, but for our basic calling. I also completely shun sin, in myself as well as in others. I know that I will continue to sin, as will everyone else. I know that God knows this, and has made provision for repentance and turning back.  He does not turn his back on Christians who sin and repent, so neither should we. Nor does He throw us on the rubbish pile when we sin – He warns us to stop and to turn back.

It is only when such sin is unheeded and unrepented-of in a public way that He comes down hard and the local church must apply the stringent discipline of disfellowship. Yes, we must strive toward the goal and warn others - and ourselves – not to sin. But we have no excuse to reject brethren who fail.

Some might point to a number of things I have said and retort that I am being double-minded. For example, I have in the past condemned the acts of a certain preacher who committed adultery several times. Not only in this newsletter, but also in private.

Even last week I received a letter from him, complaining bitterly that I am probably the only one left who maintains disfellowship. He says that ‘everyone else’ has accepted him and his new ‘wife’ and that I have acted like a ‘Mafia boss’ by stopping others from talking with him. He says that at last he has found true love and has repented truly.

So, am I intransigent and intolerant and harsh? I don’t think so. In many letters, I have warned him of his ways, and yet have constantly told him of my Christian love for him. I have said that I will welcome him if ever he truly repents. You might retort that it is not my business to say whether or not he has repented. But you would be wrong.

He has ‘repented’ many times before, but always after he has gained his sinful goal! In the past he has openly said that it did not matter what he did, because God would forgive him. This is cynicism, not true repentance.

That man committed sin after sin, openly and for many years, disregarding proper Christian warnings and rebuke. After he gets what he wants, he then ‘repents’. Paul had to wander alone for many years after claiming to repent of his former ways. Churches were very wary of him. So, why do today’s Christians think that ‘repentance’ automatically rubs-out the after-effects of past sins?

I have told the man that the signs of repentance are simply not evident – has he made restitution? Has he sought forgiveness from all those whom he has hurt badly? He says that he has repented to God, so everyone else can take a running jump…does that sound like true repentance to you?

He said that he is now in a local church that has accepted him and his new ‘wife’. My response is that the church he now attends is wrong to accept them without reference to those who disfellowshipped him. They are causing him to think he is okay before God, when he is not. He divorced his first wife because of his own adultery, therefore his second marriage was void, as is his present one. But he only sees his own hurt and rejection, not his constant rejection of God’s word and the harm he has done to all and sundry.

My approach to him is indeed ‘hard’, but not ‘harsh’. It is loving, for otherwise I would not bother to communicate and warn him. I am totally intolerant of what he has done and continues to do, but I offer the right hand of fellowship the moment he truly repents. I honestly can’t see how he could put right what he has done in the past, but that is up to him and God, not me. All I know is, if he truly repents and shows this to others, then I have no right to maintain disfellowship.

But there are many simpler and less arduous things that Christians shun others for. Things they have no right to be intolerant of. Read the First letter to the Corinthians and see how Paul loves those he rebukes, and gives them plenty of opportunities to return to the path of God.

You believe something with all your heart and would never cross your own conscience? That is great news and proper. As we are told in scripture, when it comes to seasons and practices, the keeping of special days, and so on, it is up to the conscience of each of us.

That is why I have always said that those who wish to keep a special day aside for the birth of Christ are quite free to do so, because they have this freedom given in God’s word.

But, if they try to force others to keep to the same beliefs, when those others have no confirmation by conscience or otherwise, then they err, for we cannot force others to comply with matters of conscience.

In these things God might have touched a single person to comply with a particular belief, but He has not touched others. Why? Possibly because it is a test of resolve in that person’s life. I cannot tell, for I am not privy to it. In the same way, some will drink wine, whilst others shun it as though it is the plague. Both may be right, if they act according to conscience.

As a teacher I may only show others what God says. I cannot force them to comply. What some folk believe is patently absurd, but all the shouting and blustering in the world will not shift them! No, after receiving teaching, they must be left to the Holy Spirit. And if they continue not to comply? Well, that is also up to the Spirit, not me.

It is only if there is continuous and deliberate sin, known publicly, that I can act and disfellowship someone. I have no right (or inclination) to bring down my fellow believers for my own reasons.

I have a total intolerance of the sin of homosexuality, yet I work with homosexuals. I must say that they are very kind in their work and ‘nice’ people. Yet, I loathe what they do in their private lives. They, however, are not my concern, for they are not believers and I cannot judge them. If they were believers I would have to cast them out of fellowship. Can you see how genuine intolerance should be put into action?

As so-called Christmas come closer, so I repeat what I have said many times before – I enjoy the season for its rest and temporary peace. I like the congeniality of unbelievers and believers alike, even though I know it is short-lived.

Yes, this year as we have done in the past, both my wife and I will be working 13 hour shifts over ‘Christmas’ Day, etc. It does not bother me at all, because I do not hold the day to be special.

If others wish to go to their churches on that day, that’s fine. But I do not accept their charge that I am somehow ‘heretical’ by not honouring this Romanist feast day!

To my fellows I apply the words of scripture concerning the eating of meats that had been offered to idols…if the Christian does not partake in the ceremony or does not himself offer the meal to false gods, then the meat is simply meat and can be eaten in good conscience!!

So, have your beliefs enforced by individual conscience, but don’t force them on others or think any the less of them. Each of us has beliefs or practices that the other cannot accept. Mostly, they are not reasons for contention or disfellowship, and are not tests of orthodoxy. Therefore, maintain true tolerance and love, and leave the rest to God.

At this time, then, enjoy your ‘Christmas’ (perhaps using a different title for the season?). But if your conscience says otherwise, do not take part. If your brethren do not take your own line of reasoning, then simply leave it rest. Don’t let any difference of opinion come between you on such matters.

Alpha

This is where I must show intolerance! Not toward those who are deceived by the course, but toward the course itself. Rather than fill this space, I have produced an update on Alpha, on a separate sheet. Read it and remember my objection, which has been told from the start…much of Alpha is ‘good’ but it is this very goodness that is deceptive. See what I mean in the separate article.

Asylum Seekers

No doubt some who read our articles about asylum seekers think we are being ‘unchristian’ or even racist. Others think we are being alarmist or rather wild in our deductions. We prefer to think that we are being realistic and scriptural. Just look at the latest information (Source: Daily Mail, 26th Nov.), and see if it does not support what we have already said over the past year or so…

Five in every hundred now living in London are asylum seekers – at current levels we are talking about numbers that equal the size of the city of Bristol! (Source: Migration Watch UK). And that only covers those who live in London.

Remember that over 90% of all asylum seekers are bogus. That’s official!

Migration Watch UK, a non-party think-tank, has called for an emergency investigation and an instant stop to all immigration, from whatever country or creed.

David Blunkett, Home Secretary, told an international conference on crime that Eastern European racketeers are using the asylum system to smuggle in people, arms and drugs.

The criminals who smuggle asylum seekers into the UK have links with terrorist organisations such as those who executed the September 11th massacre.

Mr Blunkett says that the criminals are winning. Watchdogs say it is because the government has done nothing to stem the tide.

The ‘official’ figures for asylum seekers does not include wives and children! And with 92,000 applications last year alone, figures easily outstrip applications to the much larger USA!! As usual, they target the UK because they think we are easy to delude and pay out benefits quickly, sums much larger than they would get anywhere else.

Migration Watch says its deliberations are not racist, but common sense based on the real situation. With two million applications each decade, this will mean that UK taxpayers will have to pay Over Ł125 BILLION to house them – and that is at today’s prices! This is for people who are bogus, remember, and who have not contributed a single cent to the UK economy, yet who take billions in benefits, reducing benefits and health provisions to our own citizens. Migration Watch call this a recipe for disaster and racial violence. And we agree.

Illegal immigrants are costing our NHS a staggering Ł600 MILLION a year, leading to a call for genuine folk to carry some kind of ‘entitlement card’!

Two thirds of all seekers end up in London and the South East, which have always been areas of growth…such vast numbers of non-contributors will serve to drag the whole region downward with crippling financial burdens. Once there, the seekers usually just disappear and assume false names.

The British Medical Association warned last month that medical services were now at breaking point because of the deluge from bogus seekers and there is growing tension in some cities because bogus seekers are reducing services legally due to genuine UK citizens. One GP has already closed his doors to asylum seekers because of this crisis, though many of them try to intimidate him and threaten violence.

Over the past ten years a third of a million bogus seekers have been refused entry – but they are already here and most of them just disappear anyway A laughable 3,120 bogus seekers were expelled this year.

Another think-tank, Civitas, warns that the situation is leading to overcrowding and congestion, overstretched public services, a worsening housing crisis, increased poverty, crime and public health problems. Criminal gangs made up of bogus asylum seekers are conducting open war in London and other major cities.

The government MUST act now and stop all immigration immediately. The ridiculous laws that guarantee payments, housing and health provision to all asylum seekers must be stopped straight away. And the UK’s puppet-like obedience to the evils of the EC rules on ‘Human Freedoms’ must be stopped. Christians should not support measures to invite and keep asylum seekers – I know that many churches now have some kind of involvement. This is the work of ‘do-gooders’ not of rational-thinking Believers. Is it right to lend support to those who enter our country as criminals? I don’t think so.

(An MP named Enoch Powell once made a famous speech that was decried by such do-gooders, who labelled him a racist. Personally I am neither a supporter or a critic of the man. He said that if immigration was not curbed it would lead to ‘rivers of blood’. Sadly, his words seem to have been prophetic, for racial tension is growing fast. It has nothing to do with race itself, but with the knowledge that criminals are taking food, medical services and housing from those who have worked hard to enjoy them, but whose entitlement is being eroded in favour of bogus asylum seekers).

Subscription Time Again

(Applies to Postal Subscribers)

It is time to re-commit your reading and support time! As usually happens when something is free, a small number subscribe without any real commitment to support this ministry. Another very small number only subscribe to keep track of what they believe to be heresy in us. But the majority seem do so because they genuinely believe the ministry is vital. At least that’s what you tell us.

If you re-subscribe or have a friend to join us, please remember that the newsletter is not merely a trumpet for our own voices, or a collection of musings. The newsletters are part of a ministry given by God. Those who read the material are thereby part of that ministry.

We have warned time and again that Christian freedoms are being eroded and scriptural beliefs are being challenged and attacked, often from within the churches. We exist to warn against these movements of Satan, and also to teach sound doctrine. The website proves this beyond doubt, as so many from around the world look at the site, download thousands of articles, and change their lives. Not a few have told us how the articles have literally changed their lives as God has shown them a far better way. Not us, but God.

If you re-subscribe, please remember that whilst the newsletters and articles are offered freely, everything costs money. Remember that any costs shown against the articles are only partial costs of producing them. They are guides only, for they are not actual ‘prices’. If someone orders articles and they do not offer a gift, they will still receive the items. It simply means that our already small income gets even smaller.

So, friends, pray about commitment. If God leads you to do so (but not otherwise) please consider our financial needs. Obviously, the greater the gifts the more we can do! We are in a time when hidden forces (some of which are governmental) will cut short any such public ministry. There are also other forces, such as strident Islam, that will use technology to obliterate internet ministries. Keep us in mind and lend financial support if you can. But, above all, pray for us and for me, the founder.  To make a donation.

Islamic Violence…again

It amazes me how both Roman Catholicism and Islam claim to be non-violent, when all around the world, especially in ‘backward’ countries, Islam is willing to kill and maim at the drop of a hat! Look at the fiasco surrounding the ridiculous Miss World competition in Nigeria – a completely superficial remark in a newspaper sparked off violence that left 200 dead!! (Oh, yes, there is also the small matter of a car full of explosives driven into the lobby of an African hotel containing Israelis). Islam not violent? Yeah, okay!

The Nigerian violence began amongst ‘ordinary’ people (or so it is claimed). If this kind of murder can erupt amongst ordinary Muslims, then what stops it erupting elsewhere?…Exactly my question since September 11th!

And if it erupts so easily, does this not indicate that Islam teaches violence? When the vile ‘Temptations of Christ’ film came to the UK we did not have Christians running amok on a killing spree.

When Muslims teach that Christ is not God, Christians don’t murder them in return. That’s because Christian faith and teaching does not give such a command. It is rather obvious that Islam must teach violence, otherwise why should so many Muslims around the world act so predictably. It is, indeed, the reason why I have not taken a holiday in Muslim countries.

Every time Muslims act murderously, Western Muslims claim that they are not true Muslims or that Islam does not teach violence! Well, someone does!! And it can only be Muslim clerics. If it is not Muslim clerics, then they must be weak and ineffectual people who have no control over their own religious adherents!

But, this stretches credulity too far – we can only conclude that the murders committed by so many Muslims worldwide is the result of official Islamic teaching. The only proof that it is not so is very simple - that clerics put a stop to it, once and for all. No other action will disprove my argument.  So, the ball is in the court of Islam.

I know very well that Muslims, like anyone else, are all different. Many Muslims may not wish to cause harm to others. But their religion does. And that’s the point.

Great Joke!

A married couple – both ‘ministers’ in the United Reformed church – thought it would be great fun to buy a personalised number plate because they have a “wicked sense of humour”.  Gary Gotham said that he “desperately wanted a unique plate”. Hm. ‘Desperate’ over a number plate?? Sounds quite Christian that, eh? He says they bought their new number plate so as not to be boring and to ‘remind people to have fun’.

When he bought the number from the DVLA, the staff there tried to put him off because it was the ‘Number of the Beast’, but he insisted…yes, you’ve guessed – the number was 666. I can think of more scriptural ways of ‘having fun’ without assuming the number of the end times. Good for you, DVLA staff!

Remember my Words?

Those readers who received the very first BTM ‘Pack’ might remember that it contained one of the most explosive reports (based on my own research) on AIDS and homosexuality to have been published in any form. In that edition I warned that the usual way to change people’s minds is firstly to change the meanings of words, and then to change the words themselves. Before the government changes my words, do you remember them?

Our socialist government, in-line with their communistic background, are now altering words. In particular, they are trying to change perceptions of sexual impropriety.

For example, all references to ‘homosexual’ are to be erased from official documents. Instead, the word ‘Otpotss’ will be used!! It stands for ‘Orientation Towards People Of The Same Sex’. No, I’m not kidding you!

The change has come about because Labour is pro-homosexual, and so as to obliterate any kind of slur upon the wonderful habit of homosexuality. Homosexuals hate the term nowadays, so it seems. They now wish to integrate into society.

Reader…may I again underline a simple fact – there is no such condition as ‘homosexual’. A ‘homosexual’ is someone who lusts after or practises illicit sex with someone of the same sex. It is a faulty and evil sexual choice, not a condition needing special privileges or status. Do not allow our godless rulers to change this fact by changing words. Better still, why not simply call male ‘homosexuals’ by their proper name – sodomites!

Christians are softened toward sodomy nowadays and few even raise their eyebrows at its mention. Yet, Christians ought to be at the forefront of condemnation and opposition toward this vile practice. Those who practise it are deluded – that much is clear from their excuses. They have built up this fantastic image of themselves that does not stand up to scrutiny. It is all propaganda, to allow them to continue in their evil ways.

Many reasons are given for preferring homosexuality (both male and female), but none are accepted by the eternal word of God. According to scripture it is abominable and worthy only of hell.

Don’t Wish to Complain, but…

Nursing homes get a lot of garbage thrown at them, mainly by disaffected relatives and people who have no idea what they are talking about. Perhaps they visit occasionally, or have worked for a few weeks in one, thus feeling they have great knowledge. But most of it is warped.

This makes our job extremely arduous. As a deputy ‘matron’, because of constant complaints, most of which are unfounded, I am now in the process of pre-empting future complaints, by preparing relevant forms and procedures, just in case! Believe me, this is very frustrating and so ridiculous, but we are forced to do so by the way people are today, bent on litigation and complaints.

But, nursing home nurses are attacked from their own colleagues, too, who work in the hospitals or community. For their own reasons, they think that nurses who work in the private sector are somehow ‘inferior’ and continually tell relatives and patients how bad we all are!

Having had enough of this kind of backstabbing, I have written to the chief executive of the NHS trust in our area, demanding a meeting. I have given a list of complaints and asked for regular liaison meetings between nursing homes staff and hospital staff, so that hospital nurses can see we are as qualified as they are! This is sad, but necessary.

For example, on occasions our residents have to go into hospital for treatment. We are always anxious about this, because though we send them in with clear skins, they come back to us with bed sores and MRSA (a rampant infection, hard to treat).

In a recent horrific case, we repeatedly warned hospital staff that a diabetic lady was in danger of having an amputation if they did not take urgent care of her feet, A few weeks later she was transferred to a hospital for amputation because they did not act fast enough. But – the ward staff blamed us and the relatives were baying for our blood!

We then discovered that the daughter-in-law told a staff nurse in the hospital (just before the lady came back to us previously) that her heels were looking suspect. But the staff nurse said “Oh, that’s nothing to do with us – we are only looking after her fracture”! Basic nursing care is not, it seems, a priority in a hospital.

If we call a hospital ward, when one of our residents is there, we are not afforded the courtesy of one professional to another, but receive inane replies often given to others “She’s as well as can be expected”, etc. When the resident is returned to us, we rarely get a discharge letter, so we have to keep checking on details. The list is endless…let’s hope the chief executive can sort it out.

Good care is the norm in most nursing homes – the bad homes hit the headlines but they are rare. And nurses in a Home have far greater responsibility than their hospital counterparts, who just pass everything higher up the ladder!

Nursing home nurses, in the main, have to attend at least five major training courses a year, but hospital nurses do not. Homes are audited and checked several times a year in fine detail by external bodies. Our own Home is audited and checked by myself and my senior colleagues, on a daily basis, with more stringent monthly checks every month. Hospital nurses do not do this.

Our wound care expertise is second to none and dare I say that I have healed extreme wounds by my own methods, when hospital wound nurse specialists have failed. Where consultants have dismissed severe stroke victims as ‘cabbages’ we have worked on them until they now speak, eat independently and have been taken off feeding equipment and special beds. But such successes are never heralded.

Our documentation is the best you can get in nursing. A comparison with hospital notes would verify that very easily. And as specialists in palliative care, including cancers and tumours, we are second to none. Which is why we train student nurses for university nurse training departments.

A Christian ought to always give of his or her best in work, especially where it is to do with human lives. But, frankly, I work with professional nurses whose motives and practices are of a superior quality, though none of them is a Christian. Every day, when I lead a full staff ‘handover’, I urge my staff to be professional in everything they do, from basic care to putting pictures straight and picking up litter. For any nursing home worth its salt this is normal routine. So, when some complain when everyone gives of their very best, it is crippling and baffling.

So, when you read of a nursing home that has been found out in crimes or bad practices, remember that it is a rare case. Most are top quality with dedicated staff, who are paid much less than staff in social services Homes. Did you know that? Government-run Homes charge at least Ł100 a week more than any nursing home in the private sector!

Christian or not, most nursing homes are excellent. This is because the sector is the most investigated and audited in the country. Our practices are forged on dedication by staff who elect to look after residents in a Home, and by sheer professionalism and continuous training. It is worth remembering, next time you read a horror story.

(If you have any queries about nursing home care, or worries, do not hesitate to contact me).

A Little Note

BTM was started about two years before a contingent of folk, including myself, left the corrupt ‘system’ of groups that called themselves churches in our area. We left this ‘system’ in 1987 and have not looked back. Sadly, a few have returned to ‘ordinary’ churches, but this is a matter of conscience.

Though we left in 1987, we are still shunned by those who pretend to be our brethren! They simply cannot come to terms with the fact that we left them for the sake of Christian conscience and we now teach scripture alone. This ought to be the aim of every Reformed church, but it is not worked out in practice. Nor can they accept that our gathering as a church is as legitimate as their own gatherings, if not more so, as we prefer being genuine.

None of this is a boast, just a statement of fact. Dotted throughout the world are genuine like-minded folk. But, in our own home city, most continue to avoid us or smile weakly whilst tutting under their breath. They don’t have the courage to chat to us about it.

They are content to think that when we are absent from their midst we remain persona non-grata, with no rights and worthy of rejection. And some folk call us ‘harsh’!!

When we walk through town, my fellow Believers hurriedly run across the road so as not to greet us. Or, they pretend they haven’t seen us. That’s up to them, but is this a Christian witness?

Commendable Churches?

A very small number of churches are on my list to be commended to visitors, but we need more. It does not matter if your pastor is a ‘Rev’ or a factory worker called by God to minister unpaid, or if you meet in a formal building, school, or your own home.

If you read our material and agree with its doctrinal stance, you are welcome to add your name. Soon, we will contact those on our list for confirmation of details. Initially, names will be put on our website. Meanwhile, remember that God always has His remnant in every place! God bless…hope to receive new subscription forms from you all.
