  How Wilt Thou Do?

Jeremiah asks his readers a very simple question, after observing their actions, and I now ask Christians today the same question:

“If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?”

Jeremiah 12:5

See what he is getting at? As a seasoned battler I look around me and wonder how others are managing. I think to myself that I could not trust most folk around me if it came to the ‘crunch’, because, simply, they have no backbone. They would cave-in at the least sniff of trouble.

Jeremiah observed that the people were backing down and caving-in even when there was no trouble at all! They could not even keep up in peacetime, let alone at a time of war and tribulation!

In ordinary words, those who have no spiritual backbone are next to useless, to themselves and to the Church. But, can we place all the blame on to these queezy folk who have no stomach for the battle? No. Jeremiah pinpoints one of the causes (verses 10 & 11) – and I agree with him:

“Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness…the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart.”

The pastors spoken of here are shepherds, ra`ah, teachers of the flock, special friends. But in this case, Jeremiah was accusing them of failing in their duties. They were enemies, not friends, they taught evil not good. And all of this at a time when there was no battle.

They stood no chance when battle came! If they lose heart when there is supposed peace, they will run away when the heat is turned up!

This ministry is for the teaching of sound doctrine and for fighting against error. Few have the stomach for this task, as I have come to see over the years. Some are content to heed what is said, but not publicly, for they fear their peers. But this is not good enough. Like any other man I can fail or be afraid. But, one thing I have learned is that to run away or to refuse to face the enemy head-on, is to court disaster. So, I stand firmly and resolutely, no matter what happens, or how scared I might be.

This is not a boast. It is an acknowledgement that, left to my own devices, I would fail just like the others. My backbone is made like everyone else’s! Any courage I have at times of battle is of God, not me. That is how I know that those who are weak can assume the same courage…it is of God, not us.

There are times when, frankly, I fail inwardly because of the constant battle. But, God is good and soon hauls me up again to face yet another fight.

What will you do, friends, if you fail to stand even when there is no battle? I can tell you what will happen – you will be crushed and spread in the dust. You may not arise again, but will lay there, ashamed and defeated. And I place much blame for this on pastors who do not shepherd the flock properly and soundly.

We are all accountable, but pastors are shepherds of God’s flock and must walk wisely and teach soundly. If they do not, they will be held accountable by God.

When the Toronto Blessing struck the world (it continues today under many guises) almost no pastor in the UK stood against it. The number who did stand could be counted on one hand. And even some who stood firm, did so only within the walls of their own churches, fearing a backlash from charismatics and others, or not discerning the real truth behind the movement.

As a result, thousands of Christians fell in one swoop, and were lost to the churches of Christ. They and their pastors could not keep up with the footmen, so when the horses galloped through their midst, they could not hack it.

Before this happened they were content to live in spiritual deadness and doctrinal impurity or ambiguity. So, when trouble struck with the fury of a flood, they were unable to resist, and they fell where they stood. Take heed! Pastors – do your task well. Stand together or fail miserably!

Web Recognition

Our website, christiandoctrine, was entered into a national award scheme for internet companies. There were several categories - ours was ‘community and voluntary’. The venture was sponsored by the Welsh National Assembly, the Welsh Development Agency, and the Welsh Information Society.

God graciously caused the examiners to rate our site amongst the top five in Wales, UK, and so we became finalists. The results were announced on Friday 21st June, at a luncheon for invited guests, including the finalists, at the Botanical Gardens of Wales, and three of us at BTM enjoyed the fine lunch! Did we win our category? No.

The winner was a small group that looks after old horses (or so they say – someone who knows the farm says she has never seen any horses there!!). Inevitable in an animal-loving society. Though we reached the finals and received congratulations for the excellence of our site, I knew inwardly that once the judges looked into the site they would be left with a huge dilemma.

If they chose our site as winner, they would be accused of supporting a particular religion – especially one that is not ‘politically correct’, and also when another finalist’s site was Islamic.

Whether or not we were going to win, the venture brought us a small amount of publicity, and many folk delved into its pages merely because our name was one of the finalists! It also indicates that the website, mainly developed by James Waddell, and assisted by Natasha and Paul Sharples, is worthy and honourable, being the best of its kind. This is as it ought to be, for we should not offer what is second-rate. Sadly, too many Christian sites on the internet are just platforms for prejudice and personal views. BTM strives instead to present only what God says in His own word.

The site was deliberately designed without illustrative material, because illustrations tend to slow-down access to a website. Also, we feel that readers want the theological content, not pictures! Obviously, this impressed our sponsors, but perhaps we will look at this again, so that the body of text is not so formidable. This, though, will need funding.

We report this to show that though our income is very small indeed, through the valiant and long hours put in by my co-workers, and their own cash, a website can be developed that is impressive and useful to readers. What we find ironic is that the government body for Wales gave us its thumbs-up, even if a bunch of old horses took centre stage!

At BTM we thank God for this recognition and hope that it will spread the good news of BTM’s website and work. The accolades are God’s alone.

Other Web News

For those who access our site…we hope to start a new section soon. This will contain emails to us on a wide variety of topics, asking for our Biblical advice, and our answers to them. To protect identities we will obviously present them in an anonymous way. We will also have to truncate many of them, because the original emails and responses are so lengthy. We think this might help others, who wonder just how we arrive at our decisions and conclusions, or who may have similar problems, which range from explanations of Biblical texts, to sexual problems experienced in Christian marriages.

Rest assured that all emails sent to BTM are confidential.  Permission will be sought from the author of the email if we intend to use a quotation.  If we do not receive permission from the author the email will not be used and that is a promise.

Rome & Christians

One of Rome’s objections to Luther’s and Calvin’s (et al) pronouncements is that they speak of ‘total corruption’ or ‘total depravity’. Rome’s view is that we are simply in a state of fallen grace, which implies that we can regain grace just by turning over a new leaf.

In this, and in so many other ways, Rome’s understanding is deficient, for even one ‘minor’ sin is enough to cause God to reject us. Just one sin colours the whole of our being darkest black. Rome also does not understand that it is not daily sins that send us to hell, but that principle of Sin that is within each of us until God regenerates us by His grace.

This principle and the discernment to realise that we are helpless before Almighty God, bound for hell, is beyond Rome’s perception, and it is at the heart of Rome’s cult status. It is also a major reason why Rome rejects those parts of the 39 Articles that give all the praise to God, in the matter of salvation. (We have listed all of their Objections to the 39 Articles: See Article A-00179 ‘Rome’s objections to the 39 articles’ and our response).

Elim’s Non-Answer

Swansea, Elim, UK, has a great answer to critics – just ignore them! Once again it has put up a wonderfully puerile and futile poster on its bill-board, which says: ‘Don’t waste time responding to your critics’. Another poster says ‘Don’t make friends with negative people’! Deep stuff, eh?

I have noted this amongst reformed pastors, too, who are taught in their Bible colleges to play mind games. The idea is that if you remain staunchly silent no matter what is said, the critic will one day go away (even if what he says is right).

The poster is hypocritical, for Elim launched a public scathing attack on me and on the ministry when they brought the Toronto Blessing to our city, in response to our opposition to the movement.

So, the poster ought to read ‘Jump down your critic’s throat if you can get away with it, and if you can threaten to remove your advertisements from the local newspaper if they continue to publish his opposition’. Long-winded but accurate!

Both posters are meant to speak to unbelievers. What a great advertisement for Christians, eh?

Wrong Use of Funds

One would expect that a prestigious nursing body would make responsible and useful decisions. The Royal College of Nursing, however, is taking the usual path of deception and folly.

Its London office is funding a gay and lesbian nursing group with general membership funds. Though I have attempted to complain, the RCN has acted more like Tony Blair than as an elected body using membership funding for its activities!

I have been simply fobbed-off by its officials who tersely tell me that it is a matter of ‘equality’. What nonsense! Their support for homosexuality is nothing to do with equality (as one director of the RCN has actually admitted)…unfortunately, homosexuals already have far more legal backing than they deserve or need. This RCN support is for gay propaganda, not for any true reason.

Gays are forever pushing the boundaries to gain more and more ‘official’ backing. And so the gay agenda is forwarded into the mainstream of life, even though a very small number of people actually take part in this sexual perversion.

And why is an official nursing organisation pushing a personal sexual choice, using official funding, when the members have not given them a mandate to do so? Even if such a mandate existed, there ought to be an opt-out clause with reduced membership fees, for those who object.

As I have pointed out to the RCN, there is no qualitative difference between the choice for homosexuality and any other sexual choice, such as paedophilia, necrophilia or bestiality! But their reply is that ‘homosexuality is legal’!! My intelligence is insulted by such a stupid response! Murder is ‘legal’ within Islam – does that mean the RCN may properly send funding to strict Islamic states? No, of course not! Its logic is petty and extremely silly on this point.

The RCN is to give training/support and will help with ‘profile raising’ for homosexuals. Does this mean the RCN will officially publicise homosexuality and pay for it with general monies, when this has not been approved by ballot?? Why? The RCN is supposed to be about nursing, not about personal choices of perversions! Its claim to be acting in the interests of ‘equality’ is a farce that does not bear scrutiny…as its refusal to speak to me proves. This is nothing more than homosexual propaganda winning-over yet another gullible and unthinking ‘official’ group, who is willing to alienate some of its genuine members by its support for perversion.

No, Don’t Laugh!

Whilst reading a Catholic newspaper I came across an advertisement taken out by a USA priest. He was supposed to hold a series of meetings for his ‘healing campaign’. But, the ad says, he has to cancel his tour due to ill-health (No, don’t laugh!).

EA on the Bandwagon Again

To maintain its top spot in the media the EA continues to issue a variety of news releases. On June 20th it issued a news item that is very typical for today – church support for ‘asylum seekers’.

Speaking of ‘UK wide church initiatives’, it says that churches around the UK are busy with all kinds of help, to ‘relieve their plight’ – ‘some of the most vulnerable members of our society’ – ‘a real humanitarian need’. The EA has been commended for supporting Refugee Week. This support includes the usual social gospel ones of crèches, literacy classes, cultural evenings, skills training, and so on.

EA spokesmen say: “asylum…has become a political football…refugees should be treated as people, with compassion, understanding and respect.” Legal advice and interpretation is seen to be essential. And the EA is calling on government to provide lots of smaller asylum centres to make people feel safer. They call on government to show compassion to people in serious need.

Joel Edwards, whose pronouncements are more and more off-beam, says that churches are unique in their understanding of the bigger picture and are in a better position to help asylum seekers. He adds a misuse of scripture by saying that “We must remind society that the Bible teaches us that we must look after the widow, orphan and stranger in our midst…an important part of Christian faith…”

Once again I am at odds with Joel! This throws up many issues that Joel and his humanistic EA organisation fails to understand or talk about. For example, that the facts show that about 90% of all so-called asylum seekers are not genuine! They are criminals or folk who wish to sponge off our very liberal society.

He fails to address the fact that thousands of ‘asylum seekers’ are ruthless. Only recently a lorry driver had a knife put to his throat. He forgets, conveniently, that all the help must be paid for by the taxpayer…who, when in need in his own country, often cannot get it, whereas asylum seekers get money and housing immediately!

He does not talk about the fact that churches are merely using the asylum problem as a front for covert evangelism, which, frankly, I despise for its Arminianism and falsity. Also, the help given by so many churches is just a band-wagon exercise, for those who have a wonderful sense of society but a dim sense of what is scriptural and right and true…they just enjoy ‘doing things’, but fail on real faith founded on scripture alone.

Joel’s use of scripture is woeful…the verses that talk of widows etc., refers to what Christians must do amongst themselves. It is not a command applicable to everyone in the world. Their supposed ‘need’ is not a proper criterion, for people can ‘need’ things for a variety of reasons, some of them immoral, some illegal and some because they are just downright lazy and just want a hand-out.

Even if we applied help to everyone (which is not scriptural – note, for example, the warning from God that we ought not help those who hate Him), scripture says that there is an hierarchy of help…first to our own parents, then our own families, then other Christians and then ‘others’…but only if directly commanded to do so by God.

Asylum is NOT a ‘political football’…It is a hard-nosed fight against 90% illegal immigrants who wish to drain our resources without any kind of reason apart from their wish to receive free funds! Many of them are from Islamic terrorist regimes, and most try to get in to the UK illegally anyway. Those who do so ought to be kicked out immediately, their very illegality being the reason, whether their claim is ‘right’ or not. Treat them as people, yes – but illegals!

If I, a UK citizen, obtained something illegally, I would be taken to court and punished. So why reward illegal asylum seekers when they create havoc and get in to the UK without permission or without true reason? And those who appear to be genuine but cannot prove their case should be held in a detention centre until their case has been reviewed – this should be swift; and they must be kicked out immediately, once rejected.

The EA is, again, fudging issues and creating something ‘Christian’ out of what is unbiblical.

Sense At Last

The first draft of the new Mental Health Bill has been published and promises some sense at last. Those with ‘severe personality disorders’ (psychopaths) will be taken into psychiatric hospitals whether or not they consent to it. They can be held indefinitely, even if they have not committed a crime. They will be assessed at regular intervals.

Some of you might remember the horrific catalogue of abuses and terror experienced by the Waddell family in East Sussex, at the hands of a psychopath who police did nothing with. As a hospital psychiatric nurse I knew first-hand what these psychopaths got up to and the gratuitous violence they can unleash.

I now hope that the vicious thugs who masquerade as ‘personality disorders’ will not see the light of day unless and until they toe the line and stop their anti-social sprees.

But Not For Christians…

A Muslim hospital cleaner did not like praying in the multi-faith chapel on site, so he took to praying in a broom cupboard. (Bear in kind that this happens several times a day, and Muslims are given time off from their duties to do this). The hospital swiftly responded and gave him a whole room to himself.

There is no way they would have been either so swift or so generous if a Christian said he wanted to pray several times a day in private! The West is bending over backward to accommodate the whims of Islam, whilst it denigrates Christian faith and practice. Companies force Christians to work on Sundays, yet they stop all reference to Christmas and Easter for fear of offending Muslims. That’s the way it is going and it will not slow down.

When Sympathy Has to Stop

You have all heard of the atrocious murder of Mandy Power by David Morris in the small town of Clydach, near Swansea. Where I work staff have made a variety of comments about the case, and I have been surprised by the amount of sympathy given to both the murdered girl and the man convicted of her murder (and the murder of her children and mother).

As I listen to their sympathy I wonder where on earth is reality? I am amazed at how anyone can give sympathy to either the murdered woman, or to the man convicted of her murder. Why is this?

Many thought the man was innocent and even wanted to start a campaign for his release. But, they did not know the full extent of what he had done to the four people before setting light to the home.

I will not sicken you with the gory details, but let us say that the killer was vicious and extremely revolting. What he did was so repulsive, one fireman vomited in his respirator helmet. The entire police team who had to deal with the death scene must have sick leave after the court case, for counselling.

David Morris was a vicious thug, known to have spread terror in Clydach. He was feared by everyone, for his violence and appalling anti-social behaviour. So, please, don’t waste time on sympathy for this evil man.

And what about Mandy Power, who the judge referred to as a ‘sexual adventurer’? It is true that her family were also killed, but the stark fact is, she brought it upon them herself. She had sexual relations with many people, both men and women. Her friend, who I know (but who was not part of the investigation), once worked with her and visited her home many times. She told me of the numerous occasions when Mandy would, in work, go into a room with men to have sex. Mandy Power was, then, more than a ‘sexual adventurer’…she was promiscuous and enjoyed making her ‘lovers’ jealous. Her murder, in that case, appears to be the natural consequence of her wicked life style.

There is nothing good about murder. Nor is there any virtue in being sexually perverted and promiscuous, or a local thug whose enjoyment was intimidation and violence. Keep your sympathy for the children alone.

This case reminds me of the way many good and well-meaning people recently campaigned to get a young woman freed from a Middle Eastern jail on ‘trumped-up’ drug smuggling offences. She is just a lovely innocent girl, claimed her supporters, most of whom were do-gooders who did not know her personally! She eventually was freed and returned to her home near my own city. But I was told by a care worker who lives near her that the woman is well-known in her locality as a drug pusher and user! Too many times we give sympathy to people who do not deserve it!

Unusual Truthfulness?

At a time when Tony Blair is pushing full-force, to get us deeper into the EU, Robin Cook, former Foreign Secretary, admits that most of the UK want Blair to put the brakes on, because they are ‘disillusioned with the EU’. Now, isn’t that a big surprise?

This lack of support and increase in disquiet is EU-wide, say officials. So, why, then, is every country in Europe clamouring to get embroiled in this super-state with Hitler-like powers? It is true that most of us do not even want to be in the EU, but this will not stop our leaders from taking us in anyway! Though the government knows that the British people do not want to be in the EU, it will continue in its quest to be fully-fledged lackeys of Brussels.

We are on a course that was prophesied thousands of years ago, and which is documented in the Book of Revelation. The multi-faith grouping of religions and the enforcement of one-state rule are gaining momentum. Just watch and wait! Our fate is sealed and God knows the truth.

False Prophecy

I received a mutli-addressed email over a month ago from someone who was convinced that one third of all humanity would be wiped out by a nuclear clash between India and Pakistan. He put it as a prophecy linked to Revelation, supposedly given to a Jew. The prophecy was quite specific and would come into effect by the end of June.

I did not think it had any merit, partly because I have studied Revelation in some depth and am left in no doubt that when such a cataclysm will come about, with mass deaths (as the Book says), we will be unable to escape the reality of it, and we will know it is about to happen. Before 2000, when Christians around the world were in a panic about the supposed end of everything, my spirit simply did not respond. I had no inner belief that anything would happen, so I said almost nothing about it.

Similarly. My spirit did not respond to this ‘prophecy’ of such massive destruction. Anyway, I waited until the start of July and then sent an email to the fellow, demanding that he now email everyone he wrote to, in repentance, denouncing the previous email and its false prophetical content. Will he do it? Or will he be just like the JW’s and other false prophets, and make an excuse, providing some kind of esoteric ‘other’ meaning for the failed prophecy?

A true prophecy comes as a burden on the spirit, of such magnitude it gives no room for any kind of doubt or other meaning. It compels the soul with the unmistakable stamp of God’s command upon it. Beware of false prophets. A few years ago thousands of Americans literally sold their homes (putting the money into their banks) and ran to the hills, complete with the obligatory caché of guns, waiting for the ‘end’ to come!! What they thought guns and cash in the bank would do for them if it did, is beyond my comprehension!!

Also…

At BTM’s website we regularly receive long ‘prophecies’, consisting of lengthy Bible quotes – usually Old Testament – but no actual reason for the ‘prophecy’!! It is obvious that they are sent to a large number of recipients.

I received two such long ‘prophecies’ recently from the same person, with a huge variety of quotes but no real summation, or conclusion. A bit fed up I replied “What on earth are you talking about?”  Maybe you think this was rather rude, but why should I put up with such rambling, sent in the guise of some kind of ethereal ‘prophecy’?

Just before that, I received another long ‘prophecy’ that contained unscriptural conclusions, which I refuted with “I do not accept your conclusions because they are unscriptural”. A reply came back with just three words…”Repent and obey”!! For goodness sake! Why do Christians put up with such blatant rubbish? If someone is spouting utter gibberish, have the courage to say so and put a stop to it. False prophecy is a serious matter. Don’t let it just slip by, but denounce it.

Same goes for false Bible teaching. I’ve lost count of the fellows who insist on sending us reams of stuff on why the Trinity does not exist! Scripture says that it does exist, even if the word ‘Trinity’ is not in scripture. (See our new article on this – ‘One God, Three Persons’.  It shows clearly that scripture equates the Father, Son and Spirit as one God.).

Update on Personal Details

At work at the moment I am mainly involved in developing and writing new policies, training programmes, and patient care-planning strategies. At the same time, I have to put up with continuous calls to fill the beds with unsuitable patients. Perhaps it does not occur to readers, but a nursing home is extremely dangerous for those who work in it. That’s because we are under constant pressure from many agencies and legal constraints, far more than exist in a hospital.

On top of that we get really awful patients who make our lives a misery, plus even more-awful relatives, who complain bitterly about everything, when those who provide care do their very best to look after their loved ones. This problem is getting far worse, as is the continual threat of litigation.

Health-wise, I have been undergoing a variety of tests over the past few months, because of tiredness, breathlessness and pain. There is also sometimes intense pain in both ankles and lower legs. The doctor was looking for heart problems, so I stopped going to the gym for a while. Latest tests prove negative, but the thyroid is still underactive and so the medication has been doubled in dose. There is no discernible difference yet. Meanwhile I continue to run up the stairs at work and rush around until I’m breathless…I’ll never learn!

For a number of reasons, I believe that Satan is ‘having a go’ at our small fellowship, with the express intent of splitting us up, thereby removing us as a group, because we prefer scripture to men’s ideals. I pray that any apparent problems will be resolved quickly and that peace is again amongst us.

The house? Well, what can I say!! The fence is virtually destroyed by winds, the garden remains undone, the roof is still paper-thin, and falling to bits, the rooms inside still need repair, and the bit of cardboard we use to jam the front door shut keeps falling to the floor!! On the ‘good news’ front, the paper above the bath, though coming away from the wall, has not yet fallen off; the big window frames are rotted right through, but are held up by the double glazed units inside them; the damp in the bedrooms has dried out thanks to the sun, and my computers have not crashed for at least a few weeks! J

Naughty Tesco?

I have heard a ‘rumour’ that the super-store, Tesco, is using a very naughty strategy for dealing with forged bank notes. It seems that staff on the check-outs are told to pass them back out again to unwary customers. The reason for this is obvious (if this anecdotal evidence is correct) – they get so many across the country, they are losing cash. So, when they find forged notes in their cash registers, they simply keep quiet and make the customer suffer instead! But why, when the person on the cash register ought to check them in the first place? Is this true, Tesco? If it is not, then it is a very odd rumour to have flying around. I’ll ask them!

‘Feel-Better’ Theology

We give regular examples of churches using Arminian techniques to bring people in to churches. What about this one…a poster outside a major Swansea, UK, church, that has only three words on it “There is Hope”. See anything wrong with that?

I ask because so many Christians know nothing about their beliefs and use techniques rather than scripture as a basis for their evangelism. Sorry to bore some of you, but real evangelism occurs when God prompts an individual, whom He gifts suitably, to speak to the unsaved. The prompting is unique and cannot be mistaken, and it will always use scripture as its foundation.

Now, look at Acts 2. There you find the genuine, authentic article. You see evangelism at its finest – God piercing the hearts of the listeners, preparing their minds for the message, and then causing the preacher to utter only the words given by God. The most prominent factor is remorse for sin and the failure of mankind to obey God, therefore leading them to hell.

So, a poster blandly saying “There is hope”, is meaningless. It is Arminian and its first (and only) statement is that people who enter that church building will have their woes sorted out. That is consumerism, not evangelism!

It is now considered old-fashioned and politically incorrect to preach ‘hellfire’. No-one wishes to push a God Who judges and condemns! Friends, real evangelism is about telling people they are sinners who are going to hell unless they are saved. It is NOT about offering a panacea for their worldly ills, or an answer to their anxieties. These may be given to the saved person after conversion, but they are not supposed to be made part of a shopping list of benefits. The main concern is about God being offended by us – not us getting benefits from God because we feel lousy. See the difference?

Sadly, that poster was put up by a church with a pastor whose father was a fiery preacher, a Calvinist. It is also the sad church that has all those ‘angels’, mentioned in a previous Beacon. So, maybe we can’t expect too much Biblical talk after all.

Bad Blood

In the deep forests of South America are small lizards called Green-Blooded Skinks. Hardly ever seen, these creatures are unique – their blood is green! Green in colour and green inside. Even if they are cut, the flesh is green instead of pink.

The green colour is produced by the same toxins that produce jaundice in human beings. In fact the tiny skink’s blood is 40 times more toxic than any jaundice found in a man. By rights the skinks should be dead!

A tiny amount of toxin can produce a minor tinge of yellow in a man. But the skink is green inside and out, even in its ‘life blood’. It lives but should be dead. Sin is like that. Men walk and talk, but if they are unsaved, the toxin of sin makes them already dead. They are filled with sin, black inside and out.

That is how God sees unsaved men. It does not matter if their sins are few, God still sees them as black inside and out. The tiniest sin is enough to render the man completely black and is sufficient to cause death. We must never diminish the seriousness of sin, but must view it as God does. Perhaps, then, we will not be so easy on ourselves for sinning.

Getting Away With Murder

In an earlier report (’Sense at Last’) we referred to changes in Mental Health laws. As I was finishing this edition of the Beacon, I heard the news that General Pinoche has been declared too mentally unfit to endure a trial. Therefore, he has been allowed to resign, to live out the rest of his life in protected luxury. Thus, he is literally getting away with murder.

The same day, we were told that a ‘schizophrenic’ who repeatedly stabbed the late George Harrison (the rock star) is being set free after serving only two years at a secure psychiatric unit. The psychiatrists felt that he had responded to ‘treatment’ and was now ‘safe’!

Psychiatrists only see such men for a relatively short period in any one day. They begin with a pre-assumed psychiatric theory and work to that. As some know, my own psychiatric stance is that of ‘anti-psychiatry’ (this is not just opposition to psychiatry – it is a an established theory). Thus, I do not believe that schizophrenia exists as a ‘mental illness’. The symptoms are real enough, but I disagree with the mainstream ‘cause’.

To me schizophrenics and most other ‘mentally ill’ folk are merely people who have been allowed to get away with living in fantasy-land…or murder. This, friends, is not a ‘mental illness’ – just someone who has not submitted himself to proper discipline. My own view is that whether a man is schizophrenic or not, he should stand trial for his crimes. This is because the end result is the same – murder is murder.

Pinoche’s ‘mental disability’ came after he had killed thousands. In the young schizophrenic’s case, he was ‘diagnosed’ as ‘mentally unstable’ before he stabbed the rock star. To me it does not matter – both are accountable to God and His laws. Scripture gives no leeway for the so-called ‘mentally ill’…probably because no such condition has been proved to exist. Their existence is only assumed. Let’s get back to reality, eh?
