Renewal of Society? Well, the people voted Labour back in. Despite all the warning signs to be found in their basic philosophy (the ‘politics’ are pretty meaningless – watch for what is behind them!) voters were somehow deceived in to thinking Labour would give them the world. Since that fateful day, the true colours of socialism have been showing at a fast rate. Immediately after being voted in, Blair gave himself a massive extra £50,000 a year. A few days later he added to that figure with a general rise for MP’s, so he gains from that, too. On top of that, Labour MP’s have just demanded an extra £20,000 rise in their allowances!! Before the election I warned that the Labour party would become like an old-style communist regime, and thus far it is keeping to that style! In old Russia, leaders kept themselves in luxury whilst the populace went hungry. There are plenty of hungry folk in the UK. I know, because I was one of them for over 30 years. I also know that in the past one year alone, my income for very hard, stressful work has dropped significantly, because of more taxation, etc. thus, I have had to work permanent overtime every week. But even that ‘net’ has now ended.- and it did not replace the income I have lost, anyway. Just before the election we placed a short series of articles on our web site warning Christians about the folly of voting Labour in for a second term of office. Basically, I warned that if they got in again, it would be the very last time anyone in the UK could vote independently at all. Sadly, now that socialism has retained its grip, it will demolish everything we once knew. An American billionaire businessman has warned that if Poland joins the EU, the EU would go bankrupt immediately! Yet, Poland is one of the countries waiting to be elected in! Ireland rejected the idea of extending the EU, in a referendum. But, typically, the EU has brushed aside this vote by the people...do you think the EU will accept our UK referendum on the Euro?? What this means is that as poorer countries join the EU, our own people will be taxed heavily and oppressively. This will happen in our own lifetimes, maybe in a few short years. Also, the ridiculous ‘Euro’ continues to steadily fall in value, yet EU financial and political masters insist we join its system. Why? Control!! The whole EU thing is about massive political power – it never was about economics or trade! This is the deadly burden the Labour government has put on our backs. No doubt some Christians were shocked that we dared to cross the old boundary that said Christians should not talk about politics. To me this is absurd, when we already talk about everything else under the sun! Nothing escapes God’s eyes, so why should we let these matters slide by? All of the above have come to light just a few weeks after the election. Now look at the Queen’s speech, which she clearly did not enjoy making. In it, she spoke of the death-knell for her own sovereignty... David Blunkett, the Home Secretary, declared, as a good socialist, that he would get rid of the Christian nature of the coronation. It does not really matter what his superficial reasons were, for socialism has always hated Christianity. He wants ‘ethnic minorities’ to have a stake in the future coronations of our kings and queens and in other state occasions, so as not to offend them! It is glaringly obvious to all that we can offend Christians, but not any other religion! This stems from a study by Derby University commissioned by the Home Office, which called for an overhaul of the ceremony to ‘end its racial discrimination’ against other faiths. Eh? This is a put-up job!! This arrogant wish is quite typical of socialism. It says that we can be free, unless we are Christians. We (and others) warned that this would come, and now it has. The Chief Rabbi says that it is ‘ridiculous’ to include other faiths in these ceremonies. After all, he said, Jews would not tolerate other faiths helping to choose another Chief Rabbi! Can you see what I am getting at? Do you think Hindus would tolerate Christians telling them how to run their faith? Or Muslims? Of course not...yet Labour thinks it is okay for Christians to be ruled by other faiths. Mr Blunkett says this shift is essential as “part of the renewal of civil society”. In everyday terms, he is saying that he wishes to get rid of Christianity, or at least to reduce it to a second-rate faith with no say in its own condition. Instead he wants to “mobilise the strength and commitment of faith communities”. Islam already has its alternative parliament in the UK and one thing is sure – if Islam gets its way, as Mr Blunkett plans, then it will put a stop to Christian evangelism. Do not think this is only a hope, or that it is a singular event. Labour is only putting in to action what its socialist EU rulers, and its own ideology, demand. Now that we have this government we will no longer be able to vote independently again. That is because, in two years time, the EU will meet to dissolve the UK’s sovereignty. We cannot, by EU law, reject or amend its legal requirements. That is why our grocers are fined heavily for selling fruit in pounds and not in kilos. It is why our bananas must now be straight!! And once we join the Euro money system, our assimilation will be complete, for the law states that once we are in, we cannot get out again. This, friends, was voted for, when people voted in the Labour Party. We are now on course for one world religion and one world government. The European superstate will come swiftly. What Hitler could not do by war, the EU is doing by consensus. Whilst voters were being swayed by this or that detail of Party political promises, they took their eye off the real facts. The reality will hit them hard, pretty soon. There is still time to act against the Euro...but make no mistake, even if we stop going in to the system now, our socialist friends will ensure we get in sooner or later anyway, by simply ignoring what we say. And I emphasise ‘sooner’. I do not, then, apologise for advising Christians, in the strongest terms, to reject the Labour Party. In asking them to vote for the Tories, I was not making a political statement at all, nor am I particularly trusting in the Tories – I was warning of impending doom for Christian freedoms. Now, we have voted-in the very Party that has vowed to get rid of our freedoms, to hand them to people of ‘other faiths’ who will ensure that our voice is never heard. Those with computers are urged to read our articles on the matter, on the web site, www.christiandoctrine.net The Affluentials “Money drains out of their bank accounts at such a rate that they easily spend £10,000 a year simply on enjoying themselves.” That is a description of a band of folk called ‘the Affluentials’. (Daily Mail, June 20th).Typically, they have an annual income of about £90,000 and think ‘hardship’ is not having whatever they want. The ‘affluentials’ have been identified not as the ‘super-rich’, but as those who have ‘serious’ incomes that they consider is there just for their own use and enjoyment. To them, money is for spending. Or, alternatively, for hoarding away safely for future enjoyment. The report, by Barclays bank, says that these folk are harder to spot than their 1980’s equivalents, the YUPPIES, whose lifestyles were notoriously blatant. Affluentials do not consider themselves to be rich and rarely splash out on outward signs of their wealth...though earning £90,000 a year, or even half that, is ‘wealth’ by anyone’s standards! To put it in perspective, it is 8 times more than I earn, with overtime! These rich folk who are shy to admit to their wealth like to enjoy their money in ‘life experiences’ such as racing cars, expensive ‘toys’, and so on. And when they go on holiday it won’t be cheap – they like to splash out. They also dine out more than others, and buy more quick-cook foods, which, of course, are more expensive. But who cares? They have the money to do it...even if many others do not. The point I am making is that there are Christian ‘Affluentials’, too. My call is simple – whatever we have is from and for the Lord. Don’t flunk it or boast in riches. Against Alpha It has been put to me that I ought to oppose Alpha in a more consistent way. I agree and I have written an open letter to Nicky Gumbel (O-00115), who initiated the course in its current form, and who was a main mover of the iniquitous Toronto Blessing. Also, BTM’s computer co-workers will be developing our own existing course for the Internet which will deliberately counter Alpha as a viable ‘alternative’. Those who do not understand why we oppose Alpha so strongly should read our articles on the topic. Prophecy is coming to pass as the brethren slumber on! We will launch this powerful doctrinal course in a few months time, so watch this space. We thank God that our work against Alpha is bearing fruit – one deacon recently wrote to thank us for our Alpha articles, which he used successfully to block the use of Alpha in his own church! We also know that many left their churches because of Alpha, but then began their own fellowships, with our help. Most of these are now thriving and growing in numbers. So, Alpha – you are not getting it all your own way! Baby Bulger Killers Freed The freeing of the killers of baby Jamie Bulger has provoked heated arguments throughout the UK, both for and against. Whilst I am a firm proponent of the death penalty for first degree murder, I must admit that this case adds a whole new dimension to the debate. The case has been further highlighted by the recent knowledge that a young African lad was killed by a gang of very young youths, about two years ago in London. It is a fact that very young people and children are growing up amoral and think nothing of beating up or killing folk, just for fun. What can we do about them? Scripture, as usual, is far tougher than we can ever be! The Bulger killers did their foul deed when they were only ten. So, were they aware that they would actually kill the baby they stole, or was it some kind of fantasy game? The confession notes and the testimony of others show that they indeed knew they would kill the child, and even said they got a great kick out of doing it. They had planned the whole thing and were heard talking about it before it happened. Also, there was even a sexual aspect to the murder, even though they were 10. A sinister note was made by the officers who talked to the boys – one of them spoke of killing his own baby. Is this prophetic of his future actions? Experts say that when a killing is mixed with a sexual motive, it is likely the killer will offend again. I have witnessed children as young as 3 and 5 kick other children in the head until they bled and cried out. They, too, enjoyed their thuggery, even at that age. They see it on TV, and even at home. They see it in their own parents and on the estates where they live – mindless violence is the norm for many today. Go out any Friday and Saturday night and see their older counterparts, or go to any large football match, to see the Bulger killers in their thousands! It is known that the killers’ home background was one of hate and laxity and ‘nasty’ videos. But, it must still be said, that the killers, though young, knew what they were doing and enjoyed it. Should they be put to death? Chilling though it might sound, scripture only speaks of the death penalty – age is not mentioned at all...though it does talk about stoning young people to death if they cause mayhem and do not listen to adult authority. Even if they ought not be given the final penalty, should they have been freed? I do not think so, even though, thus far, their incarceration alone has cost the taxpayer a staggering £5 million! Their parents have been rehoused and given new identities, with cars and bank accounts, even though they were basically the source of their sons’ killing spree!! Frankly, they did not deserve help from the public purse. As it stands these thoroughly bad parents have received a wacking great reward for giving the world two killers! Now the two young killers have been given housing, bank accounts and many other perks that are not available to hard working lads. And it all comes from our pockets. Why are we giving killers of any age such protection and finances? I find nothing in scripture to warrant it. The UK is going nutty and we will all suffer...and who is behind this stupidity? Yes – once again, the meddling EU law-lords!! (See later article on ‘forgiveness’). Shoddy Workmen In the UK, there are numerous stories of itinerants roaming the country, knocking on doors and asking householders if they want their driveways resurfaced with tarmac. Of course, they are shoddy, and pretend to do the job properly. They take their money and leave without a trace. A few months – or sometimes only a few weeks – later, the driveways crack and lumps come out, because they only put a skim of tarmac on the surface. Charismatics remind me of these crooked itinerants. They hijack folk, fill them with countless promises of what Jesus can do for them, and after a short while, leave them like wrecks. They accept no accountability measures and claim to be real workmen for the Lord. But they are shoddy, and their faith is a pretence. Sadly, they resurface the faith and supposed salvation of others, and so spread their Arminian heresy abroad. Really, the only way to combat this is not to employ itinerants in the first place. Watch your spiritual backs! Linked with this, and another example of charismatic Arminianism, was the poster outside Swansea, UK, Elim (again!) which told passers-by that Jesus was the answer to their problems. Friends, the Gospel is indeed good news, but it begins with our sin and tells us that if we do not repent, we will go to hell! It’s not about the many benefits we will be given if we ‘join’ the church!! By the way, word from Swansea Elim, whose spiritual discernment is zero, is that the ‘dead’ deacon we mentioned in the last Beacon is extremely embarrassed by the claims made by his ‘brethren’! I’m not surprised, but it is his own fault for being there in the first place. Why?? Over thirty government leaders met in the third week of June at the UN to talk about AIDS and how to tackle it. It seems that the UK, with so many of its own problems, is set to give a huge 200 million dollars to the world fund! I’ve got no Christian problem with giving our money to a genuine health requirement, but this is something rather different. Why? Because AIDS is not a normal health problem – it is caused by promiscuity. Yes, many are now caught in its trap innocently, such as babies born to mothers with the disease, and women who contract it from unfaithful husbands. But the main recipients of these vast sums of money will probably be in Africa, where promiscuity is a way of life. Why, then, is the world expected to help out? I don’t even like cash being given to our own citizens with AIDS, if they get it through promiscuity, whether homosexual or otherwise. Nursing homes are crammed with people who have suffered strokes and dementias, yet the money offered to them, and for research, is abysmal. The help they need is being siphoned-off to AIDS programmes. Why? I’ll tell you why – homosexuals are highly articulate and persistent. They have managed to persuade governments that they are a ‘minority’ with natural needs and lifestyle. Like dripping taps, they have kept on and on and have turned a pernicious, godless, perverted lifestyle into one of equality with God’s created purpose for men and women! They have turned what is immoral into something moral. That is why I would never support the Christian Mildmay Hospital, which is currently very short of cash to run its AIDS programme. It is short of cash because God is not in the idea. Very clearly God says that we must not help those who despise Him. Homosexuals despise everything Christian, because they know that the Bible speaks against their terrible sexual choices, calling it sin and giving it special denunciation in such passages as Romans 1. Now Somalians Deceive the UK! At a time when the UK rocks with racial tension and riots, and illegal immigrants flood in to the country, we receive word that yet another scam is hitting our shores. This time, the deception comes from Somali women with children. Posing as single mothers (which they are, mainly because they are unmarried), are heading for places like Birmingham, even though they have been living safely and prosperously in Holland. We have pointed out before that the rules governing immigration of ‘refugees’ state that they must settle in the first safe country they reach. But this is not happening! They deliberately travel through other safe countries until they reach the UK, one of the smallest of safe places! The Somali’s have passed on the word to other Somali women, to claim that they are trying to escape domestic violence, because this gives them an automatic right to remain here, with instant housing and state benefits! As one journalist pointed out, many come from their own lands, get state benefits, and then have the cheek to change our way of life to suit their own religious and national ways, preferring not to be part of the UK community. Why have these Somali women come here, when they already receive adequate state benefits in Holland? They openly and bluntly say that they come here because it is easier for their children to get in to university! The new Labour idea of again providing state grants, makes the Somali flood much stronger. I’m sorry to be so cynical, but the situation is just plain ridiculous! I think of the thousands in the UK who, through no fault of their own, live in poverty, or in poor health, with little or no help from the state. They have no hope of entering university. Yet, Somali women with a lame, invented, excuse can get benefits and houses straight away, because that is what our crackpot laws insist upon. Birmingham council alone is facing a bill of over £15 million and new housing stock earmarked for its own council tenants has been swallowed up by Somali’s! And then the government wanders why there is racial disharmony in the inner cities?? How many other loopholes will be used by so-called ‘refugees’ from around the world? I am not a racist, just a concerned and angry tax payer who is also a Christian. Help those who need it genuinely – but kick out all the others! This applies to any foreign national – their colour is not an issue. The stupidity must be stopped soon, or we will reap the whirlwind of racial disharmony on a large scale. Euthanasia A UK newspaper printed the story of a couple who wants euthanasia to be legalised, because the wife has got motor neurone disease. This call is becoming loud and long, so I don’t doubt that it will be legalised soon. I believe that the key phrase, used by the husband, explains the reality of the situation: “If an animal got a disease like this (it would be put down)”. We are not animals, even if countless David Attenborough programmes tell us otherwise! We are made in God’s image and we have no right to commit suicide/murder, which is what euthanasia is. In my work I care for people who have all kinds of terminal diseases and ailments. In the past 18 months alone I have watched over 80 folk die. My wife has cared for many more in her job. A very few have asked to die at our hands. It might tempt some to think along those lines, but Christians must resist the reasoning behind it, for it is lethal and wrong. God alone has the right to give and to take life. Once we believe we may ‘medically’ take life, even for compassionate reasons, we are on the slope into a deep and dark pit of legalised murder, where human beings are given the same status as animals. The Voluntary Euthanasia Society believes it is our basic human right to get others to kill us if we wish it! We have no such right and especially should not expect doctors and nurses to do what is fundamentally against all medical ethical and moral codes. Watching people die is not pleasant at the best of times and after a while any thinking nurse or doctor suffers from the stress of it all. Can you imagine the stresses that would be put on staff if they were personally responsible for killing another human being when there is not a war? Even worse, if it was commonplace to kill others, doctors and nurses would become cold killers without conscience. Forgiveness Is Not That Cheap! Those who favoured the release of the Bulger killers with cries of ‘forgiveess’ must now think of ‘forgiveness’ for the former Yugoslavian leader now brought to trial for genocide. They must also think of the four young killers of Demolila, recently captured. There are others who say that some things are beyond forgiveness. Yet others say that they cannot forgive such awful evils. I have even heard Christians talk of automatically ‘forgiving’ this or that person who has committed the most terrible of crimes/sins, because it is the ‘Christian’ thing to do. But what does scripture tell us? I intend writing a detailed article on this subject soon, but let me outline the salient points for the time being; Forgiveness is not bound by the vileness of the sin or crime. There is no juncture at which we stop forgiving. Jesus Himself said that we must go on forgiving, just as He forgives. But, the prevalent Christian idea, that God forgives unconditionally is totally wrong. God is never ‘unconditional’...such an idea is Arminian, not scriptural. The conditions for forgiveness are set out in the New Testament, where we are told that the one who has wronged another must repent, and then must go to that person and actively ask for forgiveness. That is the key. If they do not ask for it, they cannot get, and must not be given, forgiveness. So, Christians who claim to ‘forgive’ those who have wronged them, are acting without God’s permission or calling. They are not displaying godliness at all, but a clear indication of Biblical ignorance. And, frankly, I don’t really believe they have come to grips with their own responses and hearts. I have heard, for example, of Christians who say they ‘forgive’ Hitler. Friends, he did not repent before he killed himself. Therefore, he can never be forgiven. Remember all this when thinking about killers/sinners of any age. Also remember that there is nothing wrong with being angry about what killers do, so long as the anger is righteous and not simply a vehicle for hatred or revenge. Behind the Scenes of Whole Countries I do not, as you know, spend too much time on supposed, or even real, secret conspiracies of the powerful. But, I do recognise trouble when I see it! Bill Clinton may have been a disaster in the USA, but he and his wife are continuing in their work to ‘globalise’ the world, country by country. Like the UK Labour party, they, and other rich and powerful individuals, intend changing the masses by any means possible. Together with ‘experts’ their objective is to “change...the prevailing culture...attitudes, values, norms and accepted ways of doing things.” Yes, we must all change with the times, but values and norms must always be based on the unchanging nature of God and His word. Clinton and others are now working hard for a ‘paradigm shift’ which rules out Biblical values and truths, but brings in a new global spirituality. President Bush referred to this and said all schools, etc., must change. Biblical Christianity is too ‘judgmental’ and ‘exclusive’ and ‘does not fit’ the new plans. Even the Teletubbies are part of this scheme! (See next Beacon).
