Falling to a Lie Recently, we advised that the next charismatic ‘wave’ will be the ‘actual’ appearance of Jesus Christ and angels at charismatic meetings throughout the whole world. This claim comes direct from the Toronto Airport Church and from the lips of one of charismaticism’s own ‘little gods’, Benny Hinn. These sources can easily be checked. Now, we can report yet another delusional, godless claim, this time made by charismatic-Pentecostals In Swansea, UK. The claim is that a man died and was then ‘resurrected’ by God, in a local charismatic meeting. The details are as follows... Prior to the Easter Sunday meetings at Elim City Temple, Swansea, the members had been praying for a ‘sign’ or miracle to occur. Then, dutifully, Satan provided that sign on cue. Sometime during the prayer or praise part of the meeting a deacon, Tony Griffiths, collapsed. At first everyone thought he had ‘gone out in the Spirit’. But when he did not move, there was sudden panic as people went to his aid. A doctor and two nurses were in attendance. (This report has been compiled from the eye witness account of one of those nurses). These health professionals realised that Mr Griffiths had no pulse for three minutes, so they concluded that the man had died. None of the people present attempted to apply emergency procedures to the man. Then, Mr Griffiths sat bolt upright! The people had their ‘miracle’! God had raised a man from the dead! Needless to say, full of expectation of a miracle, everyone was in sheer awe. The nurse who related the story said, “I know a dead person when I see one. He had no pulse for three minutes!” During the general panic an ambulance had been sent for and so Mr Griffiths went to hospital for a check up. Only after the event did someone from the church say he/she had received a vision or dream, which was not shared (conveniently!!), that ‘something’ was to happen on that day. The story was confirmed by an independent pastor and by the nurse, at a hospital prayer meeting. There is also an unconfirmed report that the pastor of Elim is trying to obtain medical ‘proof’ that Mr Griffiths had actually died. Now we have the bare facts, let us look at it in a little more detail, eh? Firstly, the people were already primed by high expectations. Though Swansea Elim was, and still is, a chief exponent of the Toronto Blessing in all its evil forms, it still finds it necessary to ask for signs and miracles of God! They made huge claims for the TB, yet, here they are, exhausted of their recent ‘miracles’ and seeking even more. This is how charismatics work. They base their beliefs on outward manifestations. Of course, they strenuously deny this. Why then are they continuing to ask God for signs and miracles? Secondly, they think if they present a ‘dead’ man to the world, raised by God, then everyone will flock to their church. This will indeed happen. But, bear in mind what Jesus Christ said in Luke 16... “If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” The Jews required a sign (1 Corinthians 1:22). The opposite to this was that “we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock...” (See Outline ‘Stumblingblocks’ for a full explanation of what a stumblingblock is). Constantly seeking for signs is evidence of spiritual weakness or unbelief and the potential to be deceived. Thirdly, because of the unbelief within Elim, Swansea, I automatically discount and disregard whatever comes forth from it. This is NOT the same as the scorn poured upon men of Galilee by the Jewish hierarchy at the time of Jesus. Their scorn was a class thing. We base our disbelief on the continuing record of the ‘church’, a record that is to be shunned and despised, because it is rooted in Satan’s deceptions and lies. Unless Elim repents and its leaders openly and publicly denounce their past, and turn the people back on to the path of righteousness, we will not accept any of their claims. In the past we opposed Swansea Elim in public. If they try to present this ‘miracle’ to the public, we will likewise oppose it in public. Fourthly, to claim that a man had ‘died’ simply because he had no pulse for three or more minutes, is to invite rather derogatory remarks from the medical profession. A number of conditions can lead to what appears to be sudden death in an otherwise healthy individual. As a child I suddenly fell in the lounge. I was picked up ‘lifeless’ by my mother, in the presence of my grandmother and others. I was placed on a sofa as they awaited the arrival of a doctor – which took far longer in those days than three minutes. As I lay there, my mother could find no evidence of life in me and she thought I had died. The doctor arrived and concluded that I had died. Then, in his presence, I sat bolt upright and said “I’m starving!” I got up and began to play again, to the amazement of my distraught mother. It turned out that I had contracted a very nasty stomach virus. It had caused me to drop in my tracks and to mimic death. Loss of pulse is very common at times of severe viral or other condition. in the past year alone I have been with over 70 people who have died of a variety of very serious conditions. On many of those occasions death appeared to have occurred many minutes before it actually took place. I remember two years ago being with a dying woman. At one point she appeared to have taken her final breath so I checked her pulse. It had stopped, or so I thought. As a nurse I had to make very sure she was dead, for her relatives were in the room. Before I used my stethoscope, I felt for a pulse at the neck. Nothing. I then felt for one at the wrist, taking about 2 to 3 minutes to wait for a beat. Nothing. The woman lay lifeless. I thus told the relatives that she had died. Just after that, the woman shuddered and breathed again and her pulse returned! As I sat there feeling utterly stupid, the woman again started a rapid decline and this time, after about ten minutes, she finally actually died. There are times when someone with a virus will appear to have no pulse at all, because it is so depressed. I suggest that this kind of phenomenon might have occurred in Mr Griffiths. I also suggest that clinical tests might not discover what caused it. These things happen. It happened to myself, and I have seen it in others. So, loss of pulse for a mere three minutes is not ‘proof’ of death. Fifthly, mystics are able to stop or slow down their pulses at will, giving the appearance of death. Sixthly, Satan is more than capable of bringing about a state of the body that will mimic death. Why? To give the people their earnest wish of a ‘miracle’. Note that the doctors and nurses did not bother to use emergency procedures. Note how the whole church wanted God to give them a sign. Note how someone claimed ‘something’ would happen. Everyone was hyped up, expecting some form of miracle. So, when Mr Griffiths appeared to have died, though the time lapse with his pulse was very brief, it was assumed that he had been raised from the dead. I, too, had lain lifeless, white and cold. In my case I was laying ‘dead’ for considerably longer than three minutes in the presence of family and then a doctor. But I was not dead! Swansea Elim are a gullible lot. They swallowed the TB hook, line and sinker. They proclaimed it to be a miracle of God, when it clearly was a Satanic device. So, for a doctor and two nurses to believe a man was dead and then raised is just one other gullible belief to add to all the others. Don’t think that health professionals cannot be duped! We are not talking about professional training. We are talking about people steeped in cultic practices and beliefs. We are talking about professionals allowing themselves to be deceived by Satan over a very long period of time. If those same professionals can believe the TB (Toronto Blessing) was of God, they will believe anything! So, Swansea Elim, tell the world a man was raised from the dead on Easter Sunday (note, too, the dramatic link with Jesus’ life?). But be very sure that you are willing to face the gauntlet, for we will again face you full-on in public! This is no idle threat, but a promise, for you have deceived the public over the years with your Toronto Blessing and with Alpha. But to claim miracles where none exist is heinous. We fully expect Swansea Elim, and others, to come out with far more than this, in the future. We must be prepared to oppose such claims and to stand firm. Once we expect God to act mightily and exclusively through heretics and deceivers, we have lost our footing and may as well join the darkness of the deluded! Was the man raised by God from the dead? No, he was not. I need not have been present to prove my case. I need not justify my argument to those who are deluded and who publicly turned their backs on God’s word, replacing it with stunts and Satanic ploys. Prayer Meetings A reader contacted us recently, saying that he was quite happy to accept our conclusions regarding prayer meetings, until he read ‘The Power of Prayer Meetings’ by Dr Peter Masters (Sword and Trowel booklet, available from Christian book shops). At BTM we are only too pleased to reconsider any of our articles in the light of proper Biblical argument. So, I read Dr Masters’ booklet to see if his argument opposed my own. If it did, I wanted to know if his thesis warranted a denunciation of my own position. Basically, his argument agrees with many of my own findings. However, his idea, that prayer meetings are not only useful and necessary, but are actually commanded by Jesus Christ, does not add up. For this reason I have written a critique of his booklet. It shows where Dr Masters has got it wrong, and why. The article quotes exactly from the booklet, so that readers can judge for themselves whether or not my summation of his case is accurate. This critique is essential and all Christians ought to consider what both of us say. Dr Masters is an esteemed Christian preacher and teacher, but he is a man. So am I. He claims that prayer meetings are commanded by Jesus Christ, whilst I claim they are not. Who is right? The answer is vital to understand and I ask all thinking Believers to be led by the Holy Spirit and by scripture alone. I honestly believe that Dr Masters’ aim is honourable and kindly, but that his conclusions are, simply, wrong. To say that something is a commandment of Jesus Christ, one must have concrete proof. In this booklet, I do not find such proof, and respectfully point this out. Please order the critique and see for yourself why I continue to claim that prayer meetings as we now have them should not be a part of Christian life. Do not get me wrong – I insist that prayer itself is vital and proper, and that meeting for prayer is needful and right...but only when God calls us to meet in such a way. Dr Masters asserts that prayer meetings should be scheduled. To understand why I am against this, please read our original article – which I am sure Dr Masters has already read, given the closeness of words used in his initial pages. Though I continue to uphold my position on prayer meetings, I am not closed to reason. If readers wish to talk about the matter, they may do so. And if anything can be incorporated in to my own article, it will be done. I can only say to the reader who was left in two minds, that he must read my critique. He will find that Dr Masters’ booklet can be challenged soundly, in the best spirit of brotherly concern and love and that prayer meetings (as we now have them), after all, are not part of God’s plan for the Church., even if a well-known preacher says so. We can certainly ‘meet for prayer’, as and when the Spirit demands it, but that does not give us freedom to hold regular ‘prayer meetings’. (See ‘Critique on Dr Masters Booklet on Prayer Meetings’. Cost to us). Why Not Here? Until 1994 there were 2,000 murders a year in New York. Law-abiding citizens carried small mirrors which they used to see if they were being followed. Then, in came a new broom – mayor Rudolph Giuliani, who previously made his name by taking-on the Mafia in the courts. For reasons beyond my understanding Christians tend to be very soft, both as targets and as initiators. Most wish not to think about murder and serious crimes, even though they occur all around them, every day! The mayor of New York, on the other hand, is far tougher! He started the ‘zero tolerance’ policy – and serious crimes have dropped by 55% already. Even Harlem, the toughest area, is now on the official tourist list. In Singapore, where even dropping a chewing gum wrapper brings swift punishment, there is almost no crime to speak of and people can go about their daily lives with near- total safety. And, though Christians call Muslim countries ‘barbaric’, their intolerance of crime means a very low crime rate! So, what are we going to do about it in the UK? In New York, ‘community policing’ is considered to be simply a ‘do-gooder’ policy with no visible result. Zero-tolerance, on the other hand, has rid New York of a key number of hardened criminals. The aim is to target known criminals and to keep on their tails until they have been found out. Then in come the big sentences. New York discovered that increasing the number of police is a waste of time. What matters is proper management and accountability, and the removing of thugs and tough criminals from society. We ought to remember this as we approach another General Election! Spending huge amounts on the police is not needed – what we need is zero-tolerance of the continuous crime-sprees of a relatively small number of criminals, who laugh openly at our justice system. The same can be said of our health system. When I was a college student taking my business course, we were taught that the situation MUST come to an end, because extra needs, requiring extra funding, will always be with us. We just cannot keep taxing people to fund the health system! Is this unchristian? I don’t think so. We must always help those who are unable to help themselves...but I draw the line at helping those who could not care less. As one who regularly had to ‘sign on’ at employment offices, I can testify to the large numbers of unemployed who simply do not care whether or not they find work. They are more than happy to remain unemployed. Some use their unemployment benefits as a base figure, to buy cigarettes and drink. Then they go out and commit ‘small time’ crime to boost their income. And the number of people claiming help from the health system, but whose ‘conditions’ do not warrant public support, is also growing. Just off the top of my head I can mention abortions, fertility treatment, cosmetic surgery and self-inflicted AIDS. Vast amounts are being siphoned from funds to ‘treat’ these self-centred folk, who do whatever they like, caring nothing for the consequences. Before, then, we vote for this or that party, we ought to bear in mind these sober facts. We cannot keep taxing and keep spending! In my home city, huge amounts of public money are spent on useless image-making schemes. Like many cities, Swansea has its Marina. But it is just a place where the richer folk go to live or to keep their boats. The scheme brings nothing to the city’s lower income people, most of whose taxes have been used to fund it. Such schemes boost the status of council officers who plan even grander schemes, costing ordinary folk their hard-earned incomes. There is something perverse in an area traditionally poor that funds lavish public works! Who gains? Certainly not the general public. Even the public leisure center is too costly for ordinary people to enjoy. In fact, Swansea is one of the most highly taxed areas in the UK. So, is increasingly higher local and national taxation the answer? No, it is not. The answer is for local councils to stop spending on things we cannot really afford. Swansea council knocked down old historical buildings and replaced them with ‘modern’ edifices that one would not look twice at. The Marina area is a bland collection of high-priced flats that look like warehouses. But, the original plans were very different - spectacular architecture with very interesting sections. As usual, the most bland plan won! Very soon the whole of Swansea city centre will be cordoned off and the buildings knocked down. What will be built? More bland ‘modern’ buildings that would certainly not interest me as a visitor. It seems that the views of tax payers are rarely sought. Those we pay, in both local and national government, think that being voted in means having the freedom to do and say what they like. Our views are hardly listened to. The saying is true – we get the government we deserve! Death by Bullying Bill Clifford was a retired taxi driver, acknowledged to be a very gentle person. But, he had been bullied for months by a group of young people. They urinated in his garden, pushed eggs through his door, smashed his windows, and did numerous anti-social acts that made his life a misery. Gone are the days when an errant youngster could be cuffed around the ears...and this is sad. Bill, who was not helped in any way by police or parents, was desperate...and only those who have been in a similar position can understand the sheer anxiety. So, he bought a toy gun and when the kids came around to terrorise him, he pointed it at them. Like so many youngters, they know the law, and they reported him to the police. It was Bill, and not the young thugs, who was taken to court! Unable to bear the shame of a court appearance, Bill committed suicide. He could not take any more. When the thugs learned of his death, they boasted about it and walked past the home, with two fingers thrust in the air, laughing! I know of Christians who think the thugs need a gentle hand. Perhaps they ought to read the Old Testament. What they need is to be flogged. Read the New Testament, where we are warned to beware of the sword of the magistrates! There are many victims like Bill, some of them much younger, but who are stopped by law from taking young hooligans to task. As we vote for law and order, let us vote with realism! I can assure readers that scripture is far more tough on evildoers than we are! See how sinful, rebellious, children were dealt with in the Old Testament! BTM Publications If ordering the series on 1 and 2 Samuel please bear in mind that there are about 60 articles in total! So they will take a long time to print out and we will have to send them in batches. Note that the critique of Dr Masters booklet on prayer meetings has already been listed above. (These articles will be published on www.christiandoctrine.net, if you need them urgently please send an email to info@christiandoctrine.net. A-00155 ‘Arminianism and the Doctrines of Grace’ by Frederick Serjeant. This article, 31 pages, explains in outline why Arminianism is false and why the ‘five points of Calvinism’ teach true scriptural doctrine. We have been allowed by the author to reprint his article. A-00148 ‘Human Rights’ looks at the false claim that we have a vast array of ‘rights’. This 7 page article shows that any rights we have are in Christ. As a companion to the ‘Arminianism’ article above, read A-00149, ‘John 3:16’, which shows that this classic text used so often by Arminians actually says the exact opposite to their claim that God ‘offers’ salvation to all! A-00150 ‘Predestination’, gives a short but clear argument from scripture for this key doctrinal teaching. A-00151 ‘Justified by Works’, further adds to the scriptural argument that we cannot, in any way, choose God by our own will or decision. (Also read previously published article on ‘Free Will’, and A-00156, ‘Does Free Will Exist?’). Here in Swansea, our ministry and even our small church, have been scorned because we have not been ‘ordained’ by a denomination. In A-00152, ‘By Whose Authority?’ we dispute this ignorant charge and show that both the church and the ministry are God’s. A-00157, ‘Texts Used by Arminians to ‘Prove’ They Have Free Will’, follows up A-00156, examining texts used as fodder by Arminians in support of free will, choice of one’s own salvation and God’s supposed ‘offer’ of salvation. The simple, short Outline, O-00110, ‘Responding to the Call of Salvation’, helps to clarify what this means in the context of predestination and election. BTM Web Site & The Ministry As our web site, www.christiandoctrine.net, becomes better known (though we have not advertised it), the numbers of visitors to the site continues to grow very fast indeed. We get the usual criticisms from unbelievers and those Christians caught in false beliefs, but we are also now receiving many words of support from genuine Believers. We believe that this web site will go on to reach many millions with the truth of God’s word, a ministry that preaches scripture as it is written, without denominational or other human bias. We oppose false teaching and teach true doctrine. We also preach the genuine Gospel of Jesus Christ. For these reasons we ask all genuine Christians to support us. The work is vital in days when the light of the Reformation is being extinguished, mainly by the inaction of Christians everywhere. If God is with us in this, we will receive such support to enable us to push forward with strength and conviction. Our ministry is unlike any other and it began its work before the charismatic overthrow of real churches. We are not alone in our beliefs, but God has used us mightily in the past, though our name is still low-key. Please pass on news of our ministry, so that we receive support. Only do this if the Holy Spirit has led you to do so. Also, pray for the ministry if thus led, for God uses fellow believers to lend friendship and help. We know how jealous some pastors are for their own churches. Sadly, this often means they will not allow our materials to be seen by them, even if they themselves read our literature. Friends, we are not in competition! We are here to boost the work of local churches, by teaching continuous reformation and scriptural doctrine. Use us fully! It is a fact that printed materials used alongside verbal preaching can have great impact. We are here to help, not to hinder! The only time a pastor will find us ‘hindering’ him is when his own teaching clashes with scripture. The honest pastor will look again at what he believes and will be willing to humbly put right any flaws in his teaching. The same goes for us, in this ministry. So, if led, please support us. Look carefully at where your support goes and where your money is placed. At BTM we have been working freely since 1985, often at great personal and financial cost to ourselves. Today, James Waddell is funding the whole of the web site himself. He did so even when he experienced a year of unemployment. (Thank God he has now found work with the University of Wales). Our two co-workers, Natasha and Paul, give freely of their time and expertise, to provide valuable technical foundations. These are sacrificial works. However, the work is now bigger and expanding, requiring far greater input from myself (Barry Napier). Really, I need to work full time with BTM, but recognise my responsibility to provide for my family and to pay for mortgage, etc., especially as many costs of BTM are borne by myself. That is why wider support is needed. If you are led, then, to give such support on a larger scale, please contact us. Whether this means leaving my employment bit at a time, or all at once, will be shown by God, if it is to occur at all. Do not read this section wrongly. I am not pleading for cash, nor am I trying to pressure people in to supporting us. Rather, I am putting the position before the Lord’s people. In the past we have received marvelous gifts and donations which have supported either myself or the work in ‘bursts’. Now, we need sustainable and long-term support on a larger scale...as the ministry gains ground, so the expenses have grown accordingly. Simple as that. If God is behind this call, then He will prompt those with means to give the support needed. If such support does not come, then we will continue as we have done. In this situation there is no sense of panic or of pressure on our part. That is why this is not a pleading letter! We are just sharing thoughts with you all. No matter what, the ministry goes on until and if God stops it. If the past and present is anything to go by, God will not stop BTM and we are thankful for the privilege of working for Him. So, friends, think carefully and prayerfully, but only if led by the Holy Spirit and by your own conscience. If you seriously wish to support us in the manner spoken of above, please contact us. I will give you the current position with myself, my present income, and the work as a whole. Then, you can come to a decision based on need, from the testimony of God’s grace within you. God bless. Erotic Bibles Just when you think Bible versions cannot get any worse, along comes something to dispel such a fanciful idea! Latest money-spinner is the ‘Illuminated Bible’ proposed by a group of four Swedish entrepreneurs. They intend publishing an Old Testament in glossy magazine format, complete with top models. Claudia Schiffer has been billed as ‘Eve’!! One idea is to have her, with ‘Adam’ (a top male model), strolling down a New York street, kissing. That is supposed to be the ‘equivalent’ of the Genesis account. Similar photos are planned for other ‘top’ stories in the OT. The current bishop of Durham welcomed the idea, because it would make people see the Bible as a ‘good read’! This new ‘version’ is aimed at teenagers and will pay £10,000 a day to the models. However, “there will be some nudity because the Bible is very sensual and we are going to exploit that.” It seems that Virgin Publishing might take on this venture, giving the entrepreneurs a contract worth over £300,000. So, big business is now entrusted with interpreting the Bible. Not much different, really, from the others, all of which have made big bucks. Charismatics and other Arminians will enjoy this rubbish, because they see Evangelism as being the prerogative of human beings, who go around ‘persuading’ people to ‘become Christians’. The latest poster outside Swansea, Elim, UK, says something like ‘Jesus is the only answer to the world’. Answer to what? They mean, the answer to crime, drugs, problems, etc. The poster is, as usual for Elim, a bit of paper with nothing worthwhile said on it. As evangelism it is futile, and as doctrine, it stinks. Why? Because evangelism is NOT about how good Jesus will make us feel – it is about declaring to sinners that they are bound for hell unless they are saved. It is about telling people that God is their Creator and that unless they are saved, they are already dead. It is about telling people that God alone chooses who will be saved. Typical Socialistic Stupidity Lawyers are currently attempting to overturn a life sentence imposed on a brutal murderer of three children. Imprisoned 49 years ago, John Straffen is now 71. Lawyers will try to use the infamous new legal provisions of the Human Rights Act. They will argue that at the time of his crimes Straffen was insane and therefore should never have been brought to trial. This is in stark contrast to the Bible, which clearly condemns first degree killers to death. It makes no excuse for the ‘insane’. Beside that, the existence of insanity has never been established. It has always been assumed that criminals who do particularly terrible things ‘must’ be insane, even though there is no way to prove the claim. Scripture simply calls such activities evil, the products of sin. Having worked with the criminally ‘insane’ I can advise that they are just evil people who enacted their most horrific sinful desires for their own ‘enjoyment’. Perverted people do that all the time. Straffen contracted a brain virus as a boy which reduced his mental capacity – but even that is no excuse. It can alter the decision of the court when passing sentence, but it cannot negate his culpability in law. And, as we saw with the violent killers of young Jamie Bulger, being young does not stop a child being sinful or acting in the most despicable way. Mother Teresa, Arch-Enemy of Souls Mother Teresa is to be canonised some time this year and will become a ‘saint’ of the Roman Catholic church faster than anyone else in recent history. The pope waived the rules on beatification three years ago, to enable the RCC to move faster on the case. Since then (of course!) the investigators have unearthed ‘miracles’ attributed to Teresa, so this will greatly enhance her chances. In one claim an Hindu says her tumour was healed after she began wearing a medallion that had been touched by Teresa! A Palestinian girl claims she was healed of cancer after Teresa appeared to her in a dream, telling her she was cured. The rules state that beatification is declared if there is one miracle...beatification means the person is now in heaven and can be venerated. To become a saint, there must be at least two miracles. So, there you have it!! Mother Teresa, without doubt, was an arch-enemy of souls, leading thousands to hell with her ‘goodness’(as defined in human terms). She was a staunch Roman Catholic who believed implicitly in Rome, and boasted that she never tried to convert or evangelise people. Evil Children As any Christian well knows, children are more than capable of being sinful. Without the restraint of adults they can easily do the most awful of things. In our schools now, evil children are violent and terrible. One teacher was pregnant and was punched in the abdomen by a pupil and might give birth to a deformed child as a result. She is now suing her former employer for not providing a safe working environment, as a way of highlighting what is going on in our schools. It ought to be noted that she worked for the school that Tony Blair refused to send his own children to! The offending pupil was given a five day suspension. As a teacher who left school teaching because of the growing violence and class instability, I know how anxious one can get, because a pupil can do anything to you, but you cannot respond in any way for fear of legal action. That pupil, being violent, will have seen the suspension as great fun, a notch on his thuggish belt, an open badge of honour. Being suspended would have been a holiday to him, not a punishment! I wish the teacher well with her court action and hope that it will at last make employers see sense. Schools must insist on immediate and heavy legal punishments for these pupils. It should include exclusion and if that means the loss of an education, then so be it. And if that causes the pupil to have problems finding work, then that’s fine. Furthermore, he or she ought not then to receive any form of state benefits, nor their parents. Unless we start to show violent people we mean business, they will rule us, as they already do in many areas. Say No To Europe It is not too late to say NO to joining fully with Europe. (See our web site for an article calling on all Christians to vote Conservative). We were all fooled by the then Tory government in to joining the EU. The present shadow government acknowledges this to have been folly as the EU tries to force Britain in to subjection. Pro-Europeans (those with much to gain personally by joining) try to frighten voters by saying we will lose 3 million jobs by pulling out of the system. This is absurd, but many are listening. We will save between £15 and £20 BILLION pounds by coming out of the EU – putting an average of £600 to £1000 back in to the pockets of ordinary voters! The idea that we will lose so many jobs by coming out of the EU is absurd socially and economically. It makes no sense at all... but it is a threat used by pro-Europeans. I am not very good at obeying threats, as my friends know – I would rather lose everything than be bullied in to accepting a bad situation. We will not lose 3 million jobs at all. And, if we are serious about it, if the EU can somehow lose us those jobs, by refusing our exports, all we need do is impose a strict ban on imports from Europe in return, thus creating 3 million UK jobs to make those things Europe presently sends us! Don’t be scared off by liars who have vested interests in staying in Europe. The EU is bad news for us all. It will impose a new EU tax on everybody just to employ big-time EU officials and to pay for its various big ideas. Thus we will be even worse off as taxation cripples us. Countries such as Norway and Switzerland, who do not belong to the EU, still export most of their goods to the EU, so it is blatant nonsense to claim that not being in the EU will damage our economy. The real damage comes from being a part of the EU! Britain only exports 53% of its goods to EU countries anyway...so we would lose very little even if our exports were banned by the EU! Before joining Europe we had a healthy trade surplus. Since joining we have had a massive deficit! UK exports to Europe account for a meager 10% of our economy, so what’s the problem? Other non-EU countries such as Japan and America have made fortunes by exporting to the EU...and they do not have to pay high taxes on their goods. The fact is that we import far more from the EU than the EU imports from the UK. Therefore we are in a very good negotiating position if we became independent. Germany, a rich country, currently loses £100 billion a year to the EU. Can you imagine what it could do if it kept that money in its own country? As observers already know, the EU has nothing to do with economics. The EU is all about political power. The UK Labour government likes the EU because it can get past its own House of Commons to implement laws. The Labour government is unusually swift to bring in EU prompted laws. This is because it can rely on the EU to act as its bully-boy! We have witnessed this government bullying the UK in to accepting its laws, whether or not we want them. With the EU, the government can make a mock show of wringing its hands at the demands of EU law-lords, whilst secretly enjoying the power it gives them to alter Britain for ever. The EU does NOT bring us more jobs or income. Rather, it depletes our income and jobs. Only Tony Blair will win if we fully enter the EU and stay in it, because he loves the limelight and the power he gets from it, even if he is only a puppet. Vote for Labour and you will vote for national extinction and loss of income. That’s the reality of the EU! The Rich Poor! Talking about poor and rich...I have no problem with the rich. They are welcome to their cash. What I deplore is the way some rich folk pretend they are poor! It seems that most Labour MP’s try their best to show how poor they are. One, a multi-millionaire, plays down his vast fortune. He said he did not have a butler as he tried to persuade his constituents how ‘ordinary’ he was. To keep his rich profile out of view, he – Shaun Woodward of the St Helen’s South constituency – is staying at a £44 a night B&B. Please, don’t be so vulgar! You are rich beyond the dreams of most. Don’t pretend you are poor, deceiving the electorate! That MP is like the debauched Welsh MP Ron Davies, whose homosexual lifestyle was made public by his own wife recently. He tried to stop the truth being known, too. She said his activities were ultra-depraved, and though his antics were made public he will try to get his wife silenced in court. That is the Old Testament warning of black becoming white! But, he is no more two-faced than Tony Blair, who, whilst calling on the nation to heavily fine drunks in the street, says he thought his own son’s drunken behaviour was ‘hilarious’. This Beacon has a lot to say about the British elections. That’s because we feel very strongly about the situation. We watched with great dismay as Labour got in to power last time. We have observed the way Tony Blair forces everyone to jump to his tune. And we watch as he persists in giving authority to ‘minority’ groups whose only interest is the furtherance of their own sexual perversions. That is why we now speak out. Listen or take the consequences. One of our co-workers, Natasha, attended a meeting a few days ago, with William Hague as its speaker. She sat at the very front next to Mr Hague’s ‘minder’. Natasha was impressed by Mr Hague as he was faced with a large number of homosexuals demanding their ‘rights’. It seems that Mr Hague was patient but firm, and quelled the notorious taunts of the homosexuals. He quietly affirmed his own belief in the family and in true values, preferring to dismiss homosexual claims as wrong. (My own Labour MP avoids doing this). Friends, it is this that sets the man apart. Possibly, he is too quiet for some, and is the target of scoffers. But, he leads a party that at least has a nodding acquaintance with real values based on the verities of scripture. We can do a lot with a man who can stand against scoffers, whereas we can do nothing at all with a man whose aim is to strip us of every vestige of Christian heritage! As we face another election in the UK, make your view known by standing for what is right. God help us all!
