One thing is certain when examining the account by Jonathan Edwards on revival… it is nothing like the fake revivals claimed by charismatics!

In particular, Edwards noted that revival sprang up independently in a variety of small towns and villages. Charismatics, on the other hand, have to ‘go and get it’ and take it back to their own churches. They have to be physically touched by someone else who ‘has it’, before they can reproduce it elsewhere.

And that is a major key. Charismatic ‘revivals’ are spread by human contact, as well as by occult means. The genuine revival reported by Edwards was solely of God, arising wherever He wished to operate, with no human touch or input, and without knowledge of similar activities going on elsewhere. The way the revival occurred leaves us in no doubt of its authenticity, whereas charismatic efforts leave us with a bad taste in the mouth, as human tomfoolery and occultism rear their ugly heads. And, on top of that, charismaticism contradicts scripture, when it says there will be a massive worldwide revival at the end of time. Scripture promises quite the opposite. And we are starting to see this occurring right now.

There is no charismatic-style fun and frolics in Edwards’ account! No crawling on all fours. No barking like dogs. No pogo-jumping around the hall. No levitation. No being thrown violently backwards. No falling down as if contorted in agony. No pretending to give birth on the floor and sexual antics. No devilish tongues. Just a movement of God on the hearts and souls of men and women, and even children.

It seems that police recruitment advertisements now add the logo of Stonewall, the gay group, to its content. We should all demand to know why! Stonewall is only a gay group, not an official authority! If Stonewall is able to have its logo added, then why not the Christian Police groups? Stonewall is already boasting about its new partnership with the government, being its official adviser on gay issues. Are we to have our noses rubbed in it by police showing contempt for the rest of us in this country? Apparently so. We urge you to write to your police chiefs and the Home Office, as well as to newspapers, etc. There is no reason whatever to splash Stonewall on everything. All it shows is that those in authority care nothing for fair play, truth or godliness.

Some ministries shy away from talking politics. I don’t see why, when politics dominates almost every aspect of our lives, whether we want it to or not!

My message is very simple – VOTE LABOUR AND YOU WILL CONTINUE THE WICKEDNESS THAT HAS PASSED FOR POLITICS EVER SINCE LABOUR TOOK OVER!

Remember that the SOR Act is only one example. Many more similar evil laws and actions are planned by Labour for YOUR future.

Think hard, friends. I don’t apologise for saying these things. IF YOU WANT LABOUR TO RUIN THE UK COMPLETELY, THEN VOTE FOR THEM AGAIN.

Most of the other parties are close to the wickedness of Labour (though some MP’s are stricken in conscience), so don’t think Conservatism and the rest will be ‘good’. They all require a mighty big shake-up from the public.

And for those unbelievers who I know read these columns… this is not just about Christian freedoms. It also affects YOU! The same vicious disregard for freedom of speech and beliefs is aimed not just at us, but also at YOU.

So, if you want to be a slave in your own country, don’t listen. But it doesn’t take much to acknowledge that Labour has sold us down the river, not just to the EU who want to own us, and who are even now clamouring for more power, but they have also devastated the country, handing it over to harmful foreigners and to evil beliefs.

And, as we have said before, Gordon Brown will be even worse! Already he is arrogantly parading himself as if he were Prime Minister (or, more accurately, like Blair, as a President!).

Those who rule do so because we vote them in. It is their duty to seek approval from us before they make vital decisions. BUT THEY DON’T. They act as if they have independent power and force the country to live wickedly! We pay them… their power is delegated. Same goes for local government. It is about time we, the voters, reminded them of this fact.

If we don’t get rid of them this time, then we are in for a floodtide of wickedness that will once and for all crush the UK.

Do you imagine, for one moment, that it is good, wise and holy to vote into power people who are wicked, or those who support and promote wickedness? Then think again! We have the measure of Labour. Their policies are wicked and antisocial. Therefore, Christians should know what to do. Demand good politicians, not dregs.

At the same time, repent and turn back to the Lord, that we do not spoil His image before men by putting wicked rulers into power. We either make a stand for God’s glory, or we fail as believers.

Listen to those so-called ‘God-slots’ on radio. On the occasions when ‘Christians’ give their few minutes, what do you hear? Usually, potted biographies of people who lived a few hundred years ago, or stories of lily-livered sinners. This reinforces the idea that the Christian message is irrelevant.

Two tracts came through my door yesterday. One called ‘The Gypsy Girl’ and the other ‘Bluebird and the Challenge of Coniston Waters’. I literally sighed when I opened them.

Tracts have been absent for a long time in this city, so I hoped to see something relevant for today. But no – more stories from many years ago. Interesting but of no consequence to today’s busy unbeliever.

The language used, too, was rather archaic with awkward turns of phrase in one of them, proving that the writer was very unused to writing. Evidently, they were written by well-meaning Christians… but the total lack of relevance and poor writing shows me that he or she was not called by God to write them. Zeal does not equal a calling!

I witness the same kind of irrelevancy coming from good folks who make a stand against current evils. When interviewed by the media they just quote Bible texts. That is fine in a church, but not for unbelievers. Most Bible quotes are incomprehensible to unbelievers today, but how many Christians bother to ‘translate’ them into modern parlance? More to the point – how many are able to interpret them properly?

We need up-to-date tracts with modern illustrations! As a ministry we are more than willing to write them – but who would publish them? Probably not the well-meaning folks whose idea is to make Christian belief a matter of history and not a present reality.

The government is to provide basic information to parents, telling them that a certain number of paedophiles live in their street, or near playgrounds, etc. The names of these people are kept secret, but no doubt some enterprising parent will discover who they are.

Offender’s organisations are afraid that by doing this, government will ‘drive paedophiles underground’. “After all, they say, paedophiles are supervised.”

This is a misconception – paedophiles have to sign-in with probation officers or police, maybe once a day. The rest of the time they do what they like. A TV investigator found that out to his horror as he secretly filmed a convicted paedophile mixing with children, giving them sweets and money!

To my knowledge no paedophile has ever turned from his sexual sin. They should be locked away for the rest of their lives. If they have killed in their exploits, then they should be put to death.

But here is the two-faced morality of our government. They are prepared to tell us if we have these sex offenders in our midst… but will they tell us how many homosexuals are there, too? It is fact that most paedophilia is conducted by homosexuals. Indeed, the vast majority! And when we know that about 75% of all homosexuals have, or want to have, sex with children, why is government keeping this quiet? Why not tell the public how many gays are amongst them?

As homosexuality gains legal protection so it will grow out of control. Not because people are doing what is normal, but this is how all habits start – once it is made public and made to look exciting, people want to ‘try it out’. When they do, they are hooked! It’s just habitual sin.

And these child-molesters are out there, more than ready to act, under cover of governmental protection and pro-gay laws. We have said it before – because of this more kids will end up with AIDS at a much earlier age and paedophilia will go through the roof. Thank you, Tony Blair, from every parent in the UK.

Astronomers have found another planet. Not too hard to do seeing as the universe is infinite! They call it ‘Goldilocks’ because it is neither too hot or too cold. They say it is “at just the right distance from its star for liquid water to possibly exist on its surface.”

If you have read enough of our articles on science, you will know this is the talk of speculation, not science. The word ‘possibly’ means they are guessing.

Goldilocks is about the size of the earth, and has, so they say, scarlet sunsets. Another quote proving that the guesswork is not scientific, is that because there might be water, “the planet might be habitable.” Such words are okay for popular news, but no good for science itself! In scientific terms, ‘might’ may as well be ‘cannot’.

As a result of the guesses, massive sums will now be spent to try and find ‘extraterrestrial life’ on the planet. Money that could be used for the greater good on this earth.

God made everything, including the ‘new’ planet. Scripture does not mention life on other planets, though, academically, this does not preclude such life existing. It would be odd, however, in the light of the Gospel, to think God would have life with a soul on other planets. But, even if He did, such life would be liable as we are to be punished for sin.

Thus, even if life did exist elsewhere, any beings there would have to be saved by grace. But, even to talk about it is so much nonsense, because we all know there is no life on other planets!

For myself, there is no reason to suppose life does exist on other planets. The structure of scripture does not allow for it, and all life references are to earth alone. The only other life is that of demons (around and on the earth) and in heaven where God is, with His angels. If there was life somewhere else, I am convinced we would know about it from God. Meanwhile, no evidence exists anywhere.

The error is to believe that if there is water, then life could start by the ‘pea-soup’ method, where evolution somehow comes about by itself. Believe that, and you will believe Goldilocks was a real person!

Another point made by astronomers, is that the planet is older than the sun. This is correct - but only by a few hours, because the sun was created very soon after the creation of planets and stars. To suggest the time difference is millions or billions of years is sheer speculation, yet again. Don’t get rocked by scientific guesses. Stick to the solid ground of scripture.

Statements made by us since 1985 are a matter of public record. The predictions made about homosexuality and AIDS, for example, have ALL come true.

So have all the predictions and warnings about Islam. And the same goes for immigration. Now, even the awful Labour government is saying what we have been saying all these years! That is because we have not talked about ethereal things. We have looked hard at the emerging facts and figures and have deduced from these what was to happen… and as time unfolds, what we said is coming true! We are compelled to remind readers of this, because we do not write for fun, or just to get our words in print! We speak because God prompts us to do so, and because there is something important to say.

On a number of issues, we have said, time and again: “Be Warned”… but few listen, so the things we warn against trample all over Christians, who then pretend to be shocked! Will this happen yet again, with immigration?

John Reid, Home Secretary, admitted on GMTV that the immigration problem did not exist until Labour came to power!! It was also said that harmony in the UK has been ‘seriously threatened’ by Labour’s policy (which is, bluntly, ‘Let ‘em all in, even if they are liars, cheats and criminals’). Another admission is that “minorities live almost parallel existences”, meaning they don’t want anything to do with us – they just want our houses and money.

One newspaper reminded us that the UK has over 5 million unemployed, yet we have let in (officially – the real figure is far higher) over 3 million immigrants in a few short years! Half of those are known to be criminal and/or illegal. And they don’t want to work – not that they can do so anyway, because many do not speak English.

Reporters speaking to people waiting to travel from France to the UK (illegally) asked them why they chose the UK. The answers were blunt and honest – “Because we can get money without working”! That is why they travel great distances to get here, even though international law states that ‘asylum seekers’ must stay in the country nearest to their own. That same law also says we can simply send them back to the country they just came from – but the UK won’t do it, though it is relatively simple to just put them back on the boat as soon as they land!

Immigrants place a demand on the UK for 10,000 new houses every year, and Reid says that the UK “is deeply unsettled about all this”. No, where did he get that idea from? Because of this 180,000 British folks are leaving Britain for good. They’ve had enough.

Don’t think any of this is random, or just our ‘hard luck’. It is deliberate strategy on the part of Blair and Labour. Why? Because it destabilises the country, making it easier to impose draconian measures… not on the immigrants but on the British. Blair is mixing so many races so that Britishness disappears. Then comes the act of giving us over to the EU, to be ruled in small regional chunks, under the proposed federation. It is exactly how Marxists work.

Readers should know by now that we do not speak against genuine asylum seekers, but only against criminals and illegals and those who harm us, or can’t be bothered to live as British, refusing to learn English and preferring to live in their own deliberately imposed segments of towns and cities.

My wife and I have taken to walking everywhere and we are not lying when we say that we come across many Asians, and none of them look at us or say hello, or even look up when we approach them, even if we greet them.

Frankly, some years ago, I was told by an Asian muslim that they think of us as ‘white trash’. Charming. It will not be that long before there will be serious trouble, as even Labour leaders now admit. Several decades ago everyone derided Enoch Powell for saying there will be ‘rivers of blood’. Whether you agree with his character or not, his vision of societal breakdown is coming closer to fruition.

Again we say – BEWARE. Labour is Marxist and will not rest until they have buried our country once and for all and destroyed Christian witness.

When I worked in psychiatry I came across many Christians who could no longer live properly. In each case they deceived themselves and others with assurances of being okay. But they weren’t. Far from it. And no-one discerned the truth.

I remember the pastor’s wife. She was supposedly suffering from manic depression (now called bi-polar disorder). This means she swung from depression to mania in cycles. In her manic state she did anything she wished, and that included many instances of adultery. She literally threw herself at men, trying to tempt them, including myself.

In saner moments she told me she had moved many times with her husband as he chased the elusive best pastorate. She felt she had no place to call her home, and her views were always held secondary to her husband’s.

That woman had reached the end of her tether. Manic depression is often the result of inward pressure with no outlet – and a pastor’s wife is expected to be perfect at all times. In the end she simply exploded and her racing mind took flight. She did not like what she was doing, but no-one understood her or wanted to listen. So her actions went unchecked.

Every day I saw the desperation and shame in her eyes. Then, one day, she killed herself by walking into the sea. She just could not cope with what she had become and the shame of what she did.

When Jesus was presented with the woman caught in adultery, He did not say it was okay. Rather, He told her that she was forgiven, but she must not do it again. Adultery is serious. In an unpublished play I wrote 30 years ago I called adultery ‘A Kind of Murder’, because it destroys people.

But that poor pastor’s wife, who felt she had no place in society as herself, and whose husband’s ‘career’ moves brought her untold misery, could not take any more. It is not often said in truth, but in her case, it was a cry for help. And none came.

We have already said that Russia is refusing to hand out good jobs to immigrants, preferring to give them to Russians instead. Now Germany is restricting jobs for the same reasons, at least until 2011. It’s a pity the UK did not have such ideas. (EUObserver, 28th April).

The EU sits in Brussels and Strasbourg alternately, costing all of us millions of pounds. Now, ‘greens’ have told the EU that this arrangement produces 20,000 extra tonnes of CO2 emissions, equal to 13,000 London to New York flights. (EUObserver.com 25th April). Our question at BTM is “So what?” The whole carbon debate is nothing but quakery, scientific mumbo-jumbo. So, the real issue is not how much carbon is produced (because it does not affect the earth one iota), but how much the EU costs us!

Meanwhile the EU is meddling with Poland, trying to force the country to stop its ‘homophobia’, which, in reality, is a genuine moral refusal to accept what is thought to be repugnant. They liken Poland to the days of Margaret Thatcher. Bring her back, we say! Until the world has serious, truthful and truly scientific debates about the issue, SORs remains bad law, condemned for its sheer ignorance and rejection of what is true.
